It's so crazy how Madonna's most epic concert "Blonde Ambition" was never released on video? I had to tape it on VHS when it was on HBO many years ago. I was lucky enough to see the show live a few times.
I found an iso image from a DVD created from the laser disc version
It's a crime that this tour is not available on Blu-ray/DVD. Bottom line is Madonna does not want it done.
She has explained why it wasn't. Just only on Lazer disc.
I used to have a VHS copy from Japan but it got lost years ago.

Madonna’s best and more powerful performance. My favorite by far. I never get tired of it. I love that she is both feminine and masculine here, so much strong, and the moment when she takes her jacket off… iconic.

Folks, this was basically 1989 / the 80's (I know it's mid-1990)...but with this remaster and Alek K's amazing filming, this looks like it could have been from last year (2022). Amazing! Madonna is the Queen of Pop!

Confessions Tour was edited amazingly, but then something went wrong and all the other tours were too much over the top with unnecessary filters and stuff like that
This was filmed with 35mm camera, very high quality like for making a movie, not a normal broadcast camera so thats why the image quality
I wonder why she didn't do that with Confessions Tour, it would have been the glory

Til this day I have never seen a performance so powerful, passionate, and masterful as this. Madonna is a master of her craft.
The one thing that stands out to me about the Truth or Dare concert footage is the lighting. It’s darker, and more moody looking than other footage you’ll find of the show. All the other clips have a very bright light on her the whole time. Here you get all the stage light colors and contrasts. It has me thinking they shut off the main spot lights to film these segments. I’m almost wondering if the close ups on her are a dress rehearsal cut with wide shots of the live show with the audience? Because the spot light comes and goes depending on which way the camera is facing. Very clever! Also, the live vocals and band are mixed within an inch of their life with the backing track. No wonder people thought she lip-synced her way through this. You can barely hear them. I’m guessing they pulled out every trick in the book to make this look and sound as slick as possible for the movie. Whatever they did, it worked!
If you listen to the Like a Virgin from Truth or Dare and then hear how very different the song sounds in the regular tour footage you'll realise that yes, a big part of how it all looked/sounded so incredible in the movie is down to the post production and Keshishian's mastery at filming her. She performed Express Yourself with totally live vocals at the MTV Awards the year before this and it rocked but it didn't sound like this. We are hearing a recorded track here - nothing is live, except the dancing. It's still absolutely incredible though.

They were meant for broadcast and home video releases except for Barcelona. Just wish that the original 35mm negatives of the Paris shows would be found in the archives that Miramax owned that time.
