God bless the internet. I look for some info on lumber and find an entire channel covering it.

Kéta, thanks for returning to the UA-cam world and bringing those of us who have an interest in lumber news up to speed. From you introduction we can see that there is no grass (i mean pine trees) growing under you feet. I sure hope you had great experiences at the Las Vegas show as well as the opportunity to rub elbows with your many friends. As always we love (and missed) your smile. Thanks for Sharing!

Your comment about the cost of production for the mills has doubled from where it was... what are the main reasons for that? Labor cost?

Yes that's part of it ... the 2 main causes by far are 1) energy costs, and 2) labour costs.

    You have a great smile.
Do you track KD DF? Where do you see that market in the future? What about heavy timber (4X and 6X)?
    Thanks

Yes we do track that. Go on my website to request a sample, you will see. Of the coastal species Hemlock is starting to eclipse Doug Fir, in volumes. For all species, especially the coast, the larger sizes are becoming quite scarce. I'll do a vid about that soon!
