@@africanandproud6792 Imagine what? It's done in progressive countries where graduate students admitted are offered fellowship (i.e scholarship) in return for research studies they will do under a professor. The students also offer a graduate teaching service in return. So, it's not really free. As a Nigerian, I completed a PhD in Canada through similar avenue. It's only peculiar to science and engineering degrees. And mind you, there used to be days when a lot of Africans including South Africans got scholarships to study in Nigeria when the educational system was sound. That was during apartheid years like in 60s to 80s and early 1990s. So, no need to imagine anything. It's a scholarship you have to work for. Nigeria did nothing to SA if we are honest and you have never trained our soldiers since they never came there. ever since 1004, SA government has been the one training Nigerian soldiers and providing them with complex military weapons to fight the insurgent in the ever troubled Nigeria. we have done way more for Nigeria than they could ever be able to repay us back hence SA government own the biggest companies in Nigeria
@Thabiso Maila - I'm not a Nigerian, just married to one🙂; I'm a Bajan (Barbados) by heritage, so I can't refute or deny what you say.. I'm just talking about my very personal experience regarding Nigerians.
@@thabangtladi8247 you need to come out of your rock and get out and about on the African continent..... White boers are in every country on the African continent running business so it's a shame you have a problem with an African being in South Africa.

Exactly. This man's studies were funded by the South African government. Imagine that.
@@africanandproud6792 how? Did he not went to school in nigeria b4 he went there?
@@lunsiondaddyhomeboy570 He must have brother. But he did his engineering degree in South Africa. This is proof that we can do great things if we start acting as one.
Universities need the best minds to do research and it doesn't matter where they come from. And it's highly competitive. No joke. A Nigerian lady I use to mentor back in Nigeria currently study at one of the best institutions in the world in her area of study that is located in Germany. Of course, we are hoping such individuals remain in Africa, like the gentleman in the video. Or would you rather have in succeed outside Africa?

And I'm very passionate about that 💯
Im south African and one thing i like about Nigerians in South Africa is that they don't underestimate themselves if they want something they go for it and they get it
By all means and we can't have that
@@pmambongwe8640 By all means legally which is how many of us are brought up as kids and young men and women but most the sweet things of life has made some want to cut corners and like you know amongst good eggs, you will always find the bad. We have people of less character everywhere and Nigeria is not different and like he said, up bringing matters. And there are many of us who are ready to do anything legally to make it even here in Nigeria without following the trend. I am ibo Nigerian and I always remember that in my village there is this adage that goes "He who walks ahead of his godly guardian ends up running the race of his life" which is detrimental. The few bad eggs has built that stereotypes for Nigerians in South Africa And our media is not helping, they peddle bad news more often than good deeds because it sells and people always want to have something to talk about. It's just left to South Africans also to see the good as well. One thing I just love about us is that even in all this those with their minds intact still pursue their dreams without allowing what happening get in their way. They persevere.

Amazing content and big up to my African brother. True in our South African universities we have so many Nigerians doing amazing things. Surely he has worked hard to be where he is at.
