    I had 1 KCS for 12 yrs. Now I have 2. A ruby (like Mimi) and a Blenheim. The only thing I think you need to know about a KCS is they are the best dogs ever!! Hands Down.

    Fun Fact!: From my experience, Cavalier King Charles spaniels can have droop coming from their eyes, but no worries! It is natural!
    (Jeez, I feel like I am google when someone searched up: what is coming from my dog’s eyes)

    I agree for the most part, except I would call them "sensitive" rather than emotionally manipulative. This includes in training. Mine does best with positive reinforcement and corrections only need to be very small or it's very hard on her. It took longer to housebreak her and for smaller dogs in general, housebreaking takes more time because of their itty bitty bladders ❤❤❤

      No dog is good for that schedule, dogs are like people too. They are not toys (also I am not being pushy or disrespectful just to let you know). Dogs have been known to die of heartbreak because their owners were gone for too long or stress related. So please think on getting a dog when everyone in the house has proper time to give the dog attention.

      I second what @bruh-498 said. Dogs are generally very social animals, and don't do well with being left alone for 5+ hours every day. This could cause a whole load of problems like depression or separation anxiety leading to self harm behaviours (excessive grooming causing skin irritation, chewing on paw pads etc) aggression towards other animals and/or humans, destructive chewing on furniture, shoes, walls etc, digging, urinating and/or defecating on your bed, barking/howling etc.
      Highly intelligent breeds and working breeds who are used for things like hunting/farming are generally the breeds who will struggle the most with being left alone, but even low energy breeds would still find it hard being alone, especially if they are also younger dogs.
      If you were to get a dog anyway, a good walk before you leave and again when you get home is vital, as well as plenty of toys to keep them occupied and a decent space to hang out in (don't expect to leave them in a kennel or crate all day, instead opt for a fenced in garden with a bed somewhere dry and in the shade or a living room/bedroom that is dog proofed). If your family can afford it, there is also the option of putting the dog in doggy daycare during the day, but that can get expensive.

    #6 . Don't bother. Get a real dog

      Tf are you going on about? It's a real dog breed.

    • @davidg2143
      @davidg2143 9 днів тому

      @pastellasugarina8176 I'm not going on about anything at all. I wrote 2 very simple sentences. So, as per my comment, the cockerspaniel breed is damn near useless. I prefer an animal that serves a purpose and that animal hasn't one.
