They are very friendly, affectionate and groovy. These energetic, outgoing, cute puppies make exceptional human companions.

There is nothing like the love of a cavalier. I've had them most of my adult life. No other dog will do. They are ever sweet, all the time and love unconditionally. It doesn't matter what you look like , they love you for your heart. Give it to a cavvy and they will love you back tenfold. ❤❤❤❤

Adorable! I wish my Cavaliers liked cats. We didn't raise them with cats when they were puppies, but I bet if they had been they would love the kitties. You have beautiful dogs:)
Our Molly was 'raised' or adopted should I say by a Cat. The cat was older but a super gentle cat. When Molly got to excited Samantha would pin her down and wait for calm and once Molly relaxed Samantha would lick Molly's face. The slept together and it was truly amazing to watch.

Cavaliers are so gorgeous and affectionate, I'm currently thinking about adding a puppy to my family but I have 3 cats so I am curious to know how are Cavaliers with cats?
I also have three cats and got a Cavalier puppy last year. At first the cats were terrified by this gentle fur-ball, now they just ignore each other. The Cavalier tried to befriend them, but no way, so now whenever she gets a chance, she steals their food 😂 which she cannot do. Still, I love all of them…. Beware that Cavalier Kings like to eat cat poop if they find it in the litter, so it must be removed immediately. Luckily my cats go out in the garden, but not when it rains

When I took my new ruby puppy in recently for her vaccinations the vet told me Cavs only live until they’re ten due to heart issues. It broke my heart! I’m glad to hear that that’s not always true.

I lost my cavalier brandy when he was only 5. He had an allergic reaction to the anaesthetic and died on the operating table. We only had him for 5 years but it was a great 5 years.
My sweet angel Sascha died almost a month ago. She was barely 5. I miss her so much. I was blessed enough to get another dog very soon. His owner unfortunately died and I could get him for free. He isn't a Cavalier but I care about him a lot already. But the pain of losing Sascha... it's still so hard. Especially at night I often break down. Like right now. She was everything to me. I try to keep the pain in during the day because I don't want to stress Maylo. But at night, when he's asleep, the grief completely overwhelms me. It hurts so much

If I wasn't working a a Hospital not knowing when I'll be called in for emergency I would totally get one. Maybe I should find a girlfriend with a remote job so I could get a cutie like that. My neighbour got one, named Daisy and she always escapes to greet me every day I come back from work! I then brig her back to her owners.

Does the colouring affect temperament? Or is it just about personal preference? I like the tri-coloured ones, but they all look great. I have spina bifida and PTSD, so I'm looking for one as an emotional support friend. I don't do cages, though. That's like slavery. No dog should be a slave. They're family.
Blenheims in my opinion are the most affectionate. But that’s like saying sugar is sweeter than honey. Very small difference.
They’re all very sweet and loving...they become more lapdog types as they mature. My dog never really goes in his cage. I have a 7 year old male Blenheim. He just naps when he’s home alone and never causes any mischief. His personality is so cute and goofy. I have had a tricolor, and a Black and Tan previously. They’re all beautiful, sweet, and food motivated dogs. Lol
I don’t feel the colour affects their nature ,butI do think the females are more affectionate than the males.

People who breed Cavalier King Charles Spaniels and English Bulldogs are egoistic pieces of shit. Cavaliers are prone to several significant issues including heart disease. They also suffer from luxating patellas, allergies, hip dysplasia, cataracts and syringomyelia. Oh and they also have a skull that is too small for the brain, which causes headache....Stop the breeding of these types of dogs!! It's unethical! Also stop breeding dogs who can barely breathe! These include: Bulldogs (French and English), Boxer Dogs, Boston Terriers, Pekingese, Chinese Pugs, Lhasa Apsos, Shih Tzus, and Bull Mastiffs!
