Dude! This is dope! You just popped up on my Instagram feed. Corn is very close to my heart as it’s the staple of South Africa (where I’m from) P.s. try a roasted corn stock next time. When reduced it tastes like a popcorn “jus”

Thank you, I love corn and it has so many different ways of preparing it. Roasted corn stock is a great idea, one that's been in my mind to do. Great minds think alike 👊🙏

Apart from pepper fermentation, I have lately become fascinated by Stocks and Broths. So, here I am sampling Logan's earliest walk-thrus and picking up pointers!
But in this case, I find myself a bit confused. What sort of things would you use it for?
I know it can infuse Cornbread or Corn Casseroles with superlative depth. Corn Chowder is a natural. I read that you can swap it in for most any recipe calling for generic Vegetable Stock. Are there any stand-out soups or dishes?

btw... what are you doing with the kernels you slice off the cobs? Can they go into the stockpot as well?

I like this stock when I make potato soup specifically and thinning out sauces. I have a bacon and corn cream sauce I make with scallops that I use it in. I freeze it in ice cube trays at times and use it in sauces that way too. I have a bbq sauce that this goes great in, which I'm working on that video next week. Yes, in instances where vegetable stock is called for. It's great for cooking rice in also depending on what I'm using the rice with.

@@RavinDave-theOriginal I actually fermented the corn kernals with a cinnamon stick and garlic that was great. I'm on the fence if I want to do more videos on stocks...beef, chicken, turkey. I might with the holiday season quickly approaching.

I never thought of using it for cornbread......I will give it a try. I use the stock in soup that I would want a light taste.
