I like how the judges' opinions are delivered in the UK show. Objective, kind, and fair. No ego and attitude.
Yes I really don't like the American judges nor the American contestants especially the amateurs lol
There's plenty of ego and attitude, it's just the contestants here are very talented. Way more than 99% of American cooking shows. These are all proper chefs; not the usual clowns on Food Network
@caraarslan These are all professionals. You give your opinion and move on.
The recipient of the opinion looks crestfallen for a bit and then goes away and ups his or her game.
No need for theatrics. 🙂
As they should. The star of the show is the food and the ingredients, not the egos of the people hosting and judging the show.
Ive watched the Australian version of Masterchef & it was like a cheap reality show , thank god for the British version
Almost no fake drama, no dramatic music, knowledgable and universally respected professional judges, after the initial rounds positive criticism where possible.
It’s the best programme on tv no doubt
glad i am not the only one. i can't stand reality tv but this show has me hooked and i can watch entire seasons in a few days
USA masterchef: He's cooked a steak, with some potatoes... and he might have even.... seasoned it.
UK masterchef:
Greg: "I LUUUUUVV the [insert element he likes here]"
The comments from Monica Greg and Marcus are awesome. I really look forward to their words because - as with other Michel et. al, they don’t mince words. They tell you what you NEED to hear, not necessarily what you WANT to hear. Nice clip!
I love the Brits soooo polite even when they critic you.
You do know Gordon is from here right?
@Mayo501
Yeah and he puts on the angry persona for the American audience lol. Watch the UK version of Kitchen nightmares and you'll see his true nature
All the dishes look amazing. I'm just a normal Chef cooking honest dishes very well. I love seeing this level so much. Inspiring AF
I remember this series. This chef should have won. He was outstanding from the very start but in the Semi's he made a small mistake and they knocked him out because of it. He had been the most consistent stand out chef. I felt really quite sorry for him.
I love it when a judge says, "A nice, simple dish". WTH? The only way to make the dish actually more complicated is to do it in zero gravity.
Shes not talking execution but presentation and simplicity of looks!
I think you missed the point.
That lobster dish looked absolutely knock-out.
Did you see that dessert that Mathew made? Ahhhh, it looks so good and the combination makes so much sense! I would love to try that dessert! 😋
Ooh I'd love to be able to cook anywhere close to those lads. I would dig into any of those dishes... Yum, Yum
That made my toast taste so much better
Finally, we know where the lamb sauce is. Gordon can rest easy.
9:12 look at Marcus's face... He's so into that dessert!
Way way way the best Masterchef show in the world
The last lamb, courgette dish looked stunning..............
Let’s be honest, Greg would eat a turd if it was covered in chocolate. And he’d love it.
Like I said. He's like a kid in a candy store! So yes, he probably would eat it! I love him!!!!
Greg's fav word: "sharp"
There's the LAMB SAUCE!!!!
Matthew went out right before they went to the Michelin star restaurant and the feedback was brutal :D
Which season is this?
Does Monica's collar match her cuffs?
Great little euphemism
No but the cuffs match the collar
What season is this from??
Dont know the season but it was 2018
Some people just have it.
Simple !!!!!!wow beans on toast that's Simple
I remember this guy, he actually started crying when he got kicked out of the competition
That's hella funny. Cooks are the most pretentious people.
@@kone.linngus3651Yeah imagine being passionate about what you do……what was he thinking, maniac. 🙄
Now runs one of the most successful restaurants in London so he won in the end 💁🏻♂️
@@nicholasfleming8255 I think they can all run very good restaurants, they are all amazing cooks and quite obvious a cut above the standard. But good for him, he is really talented.
No he did not…🤨🇬🇧
A tv show that is not dumbed down. Would you Adam and Eve it.
What show is this? Where's the screaming, the insane stress levels and the sheer inhumane brutality that's necessary to cook something good?
This is Britain. Even when Brits are stressed out they're too polite to show it.
that chocolate thing looks lush
Why is that left footer “Bingo” judge always so critical?
throw on some fries and you've got a masterpiece
All these judges wish they could think of ideas like these chefs bring
Ha ha ha. You do realise who Marcus Wareing and Monica Galetti are, right?
Watching this somehow makes my baked beans on toast with cheese slice and fish finger starter seem a little bland
Could these chefs cook any better
Well... Yes. That's the point of the criticism.
Where is the Lamb Sauce?
Thought mathew would win series
This is not amateur ....
Masterchef professionals quality TV
When did Marcus turn into a 98 year old man? 👴🏻
Smokey awesomeness
On his birthday. Before that he was only 97. 😂
Lobster, the most overrated meat on the planet.
hope they would serve more on the plate if you were paying for it otherwise i would have to stop at mac d on way home
Well you normaly eat like 10+ of these dishes during an evening.
And still stop at maccies on the way home
simple dish??????
His voice is so bassy
Why does this tv narrator sound like Danny dyer?
It's Sean Pertwee, I believe
He doesn’t. Sure you’re not thinking of Greg Wallace?
you smoking crack?
These cooking shows are peak pretentiousness.
I can not understand why this is a picture. I thought food was for filling with taste not hanging on a wall in an art gallery. I mean I could make dog shit look good
Yeah whatever Greg. Now swiftly moving on….
All too poncey for me, give me sausage and mash, Steak & Kidney pud or toad in the hole, any day.
All while complainong about bbrbrbrrrauckin Britain.
Australiia is better
No it most certainly isn't.
Are you talking about the food, the chefs, the show, the prime minister, the climate....?
Hmmmm🤔??
Not even close UK has actual high end chefs
My penis is bigger than yours. Do we really have to go down that path? Can't we just acknowledge that they are both good for different reasons?
Uk shows are so emotion-lacking. It’s like robots are doing the show and people are so phlegmatic in UK that’s is just not interesting at all. There’s no fire and sense of competition in them. It’s like watching elderly cooking show or something.
Its called maturity and not creating fake drama to hide the fact your show has no substance.
@@retromunkey No it shows how show is done without any passion. May as well watch funerals😂😂😂
this is for professional chefs, not desperate wannabe celebs, so there's no fucking about. it's their day job
We don't need the manufactured faux drama to keep our attention.
@@Ceebz39so much passion goes into there work! Mad comment 😂
Poncey food, judged by poncey chefs (oh, and a green grocer)
The second guys main course could've been licked off the plate by a small kitten in one go....Pathetic.
The kind of thing Poncey people pay about eighty quid for in one of Wareings Poncey rip off restaurants!!
I know right? Every meal should just be a massive plate of pie and mash. Why would anyone bother trying to add nuance to anything? Art is totally pointless. Lads lads lads
Oh mate, you got a little chip on your shoulder. You writing this from the job centre queue? You got so much free time on your hands that your watching programmes that are not designed for your class. Switch to "rate my takeaway", and you will be a lot happier.
@@Thehipsterplantman Classism is not a classy response.
What are you on about?
@@Thehipsterplantman
I'd rather have a chip butty on my shoulder than to pay stupid prices for food that wouldn't fill the belly of a sparrow.
If you want to do that, well then, that makes you an idiot!
I'm sorry but those are not meals. If I got one of those in a restaurant, especially no.2, I'd think they'd sent me a dirty plate by mistake.
