I'm Dutch, most villages here are within 5 km of another village. And in between will be farms. Paved roads everywhere. I would love to experience the vast emptiness of Russia. Like the people you got a lift from, switched from car to boat and then had to travel 200 km to their settlement. 200 km is two thirds of my country, I just can not imagine 200 km of pristine nature.
Certain parts of the US are the same way, you should check out Alaska if you want to see somewhere that’s like Russia without having to speak Russian or have a guide
Kind of sad when you think of it. I’m from Canada and outside the cities it’s pretty similar particularly our north. When I visited Europe it was weird that nowhere you’d go you would be away from everything.
The Danube and Rhine Delta system aren't too bad in my opinion but I must admit the Lena is just wonderful. Especially the Delta, I would love to somehow be able to see it, however I fear there is no way that will ever happen. Maybe in a warm summer via the arctic ocean or a long drive in an arctic 4x4, the remoteness is extreme anyhow
Keep up the great work! Thanks for letting us travel along with you! Appreciate the explanation about the pipelines and homes built on stilts due to the permafrost! And wasCool to see the wooly mammoth 🦣 skeleton. Safe travels my friend! 🌍 👋
Great adventure. Thanks for posting. I do feel a bit sad seeing that it was posted in 2021. Seems unlikely that a trip like this would be possible now.
Great video again and so informative! I rarely post comments on UA-cam but your videos deserve it. I watched some of the vids on your Russian channel too😉 Keep up the good work, mate! All best from Bulgaria
Only found this video now, so glad you managed to get here, especially considering the difficulty of the journey! Those shots of the width of river are spectacular.
Great 😍😍 Thx for translating it 👌🏻👌🏻 So funny comments 🤭🤭 some moments during these journeys seem to be very frustrating .... but they turn out great (at least those u show us) 💪🏻😉
Is it a hard life there ? But some people enjoy it ! Thanks for sharing your experiences and thanks to this amazing video. Take care, Vaga Bond. Enjoy your life.
Wow, those pillars in the red evening sunlight reflecting in Lena river! Amazing! Wonder if you actually planned to spend a night at the pillars? Lena river is fucking huge. Just a few days ago I watched a video of Kaspersky going from Madagan to Yakutsk (and onwards) and they crossed the river on an ice road. Scary! But at -40 Celsius it's rock solid. Crazy to think that Yakutsk is a growing city when they have the coldest winters of pretty much anywhere in the world and only few months of summer.
@@rhodium1096Yes , you are right , it pays very well in such regions . People come to work not only Russians, but also from the former republics of the USSR. But there are few people willing to stay there. It is because of the very harsh climate .
The quality you put into your video's is great ! The editing , & music is spot on ! Please always keep the rawness like you AlwAys have.. 20, 000 sub's will come quick your channel is that good now.. Thank you for the journeys I got to see. As an American I see my brother's and sister's there !. We Americans love you !🇺🇸
So amazing. Honestly very similar to northern Canada. Rugged, very isolated, but beautiful. Pretty shocking to know that off the single roads in these regions lie vast terrains completely inaccessible. Also very much liked you mentioning those folks Instagram. A win for you, a win for them.
Thank you so much for sharing your journey! I had no idea about Lena Pillars being a thing, they look magnificent!! *.* They must look even better in real life.
Where I live, in the very south of Europe and the middle of the Mediterranean, the distance between islands is smaller than the width of the Lena. It being the most densely populated EU country (only Vatican City and Monaco are more densely populated European countries, and those are fringe cases anyway), it is an unimaginable contrast with the vast emptiness of Siberia. The impression I get from videos like these is that Russians are friendly and hospitable, even though relations between respective governments are more than a little frosty at the moment.

@@Sniperboy5551 the way you stated it is incredibly sad . come to North America. We have the largest intact forest in the world.
Kind of sad when you think of it.

The sheer size of many of those russian rivers is just unimaginable for a european like me

Lena pillars in the winter look even greater.
Lena is the longest river in Russia. The origin of the name of the Lena River is derived from the local word , meaning the ‘Large River’.
Interesting! 🏔
The Mississippi River in the USA is similar: Misi ("great") Ziibi ("river") in the Ojibwe language.

The finale was grand!!!!
Wow, I just watched your road of bones video yesterday and now you upload a video!
Good to see that at least out in the wilderness people still help each other and like to talk.
BTW: 200 km by boat? This is about half my country 😂
LENA PILLARS ARE AMAZING
100% awesome
Hell yeah 🤟
Far East Russia looks beautiful and really tough, hats off to the people who live there. Looks more hard arse than Alaska

Beautiful footage. You are a great artist! 👍👍
What a beautiful country...totally alien to most westerners. Thanks for letting us peek behind the curtains.
It's interesting how the architecture is different to accommodate the permafrost. Beautiful scenery
and those pillars were river bank before ice age . after massive melting of ice basically riber cut through stones
Love your videos, the Russian wilderness is just amazing. Thanks for sharing your journeys with us all and safe travels.

I didn't plan to spend night at pillars, so I managed to return to the village that was accessible by normal road and slept there.
Thats because of Diamonds and Gold...which means good salaries like in Norilsk ( Cupper, Platinum and Paladium)

Congratulations well done great channel taking us places we'd never see in Russia

My middle name is Lena so I had to watch ^-^ Now I like it better 'cause it's the name of this beautiful river and the pillars ♪
Hum, you didn't get off the boat? The view from the top of the Pillars is spectacular as well.
This was very good video, i thought the pipes were above ground because it cost to much to put them underground. 👍🏆🏆
No, here is the matter of permafrost. If they were underground, they would create swamps around them because ice would start melting.
very nice
Good video
wow what a stunning place , new sub here!!!
I want to travel through Russia now
As good as content gets on You Tube.,
I want to visit this city this summer! I am from Scotland. What do you think?
love you video
