- Hey guys welcome to a very special video where I go over some of the most hidden images you can find in every Mario game. This video took awhile to make and I got really sick halfway through so I hope you enjoy because this took a lot of of me. Please like, comment and subscribe.

You missed a really good one in SM64. The Mario vs Bowser mural along the walls near the pipe in the Bowser in the Sky final level.
I always thought the eyes on the clouds, hills, etc... in the background of SMB3 was because they are "actors" dressed as these items (kind of like being cast as the tree in the school play) to go along with the whole theory that SMB3 is a stage play.
You mentioned with the super Mario world SNES that you had to defeat bowser to get the graphical change. You just have to clear all the special levels to get that. Once you defeat Bowser, the game is over.
I believe there is one more in the very first Super Mario Bros. game, located inside the castle in World 7-4 (the one where you have to guess the correct path), where some bricks you walk over seem to represent hands pointing in different directions.
Minor correction, the color changes in Super Mario World happen after all of the Special levels
11:18 in toy time galaxy there is a mini toy train (probably a smaller scale model of the trains youd cross at the start) in the level. i forget exactly where but it is in the level, accessible through first person view
13:19 is also a reference to the 4 player colors for the Wii. Player one is blue, two is red, three is green, and four is yellow, seen in reading order.

I recently played SM land 2 and noticed the clouds in the background are sometimes shaped as an arrow pointing up to secrets.
Yeah in one of Pumpkin Zone's levels, there are coins pointing upwards to a secret level

On the topic of pikmin and mario, I noticed a lot of sunshine’s characters could be compared to pikmin, namely the pikmin and Piantas sharing relatively similar colors (except the pikmin are more vibrant) as well as the trait of having foliage on their head, and strollin’ Stu (those little yellow goomba guys) and Bulborbs sharing colors and patterns. I might be overthinking it, but it’s interesting to think about.
How about Super Mario RPG where you can turn into eight-bit Mario behind the curtain in Booster's Tower?

about the red overalls and blue shirt, in lots of early artwork and even in super mario all stars smb1, his overalls were that color. it wasnt until super mario bros 3 until it was established
But he has black overalls in that game
The fireworks aren't just a fun visual, you get points for however many go off at the end of the level.
There's one in nsmb that if you clear a level there's a chance the clear theme will be the smb1 clear theme
I honestly can believe that for SM1 the fireworks were mentioned but Mario's face in the blocks wasn't
I see luigi sprites pop out of bricks occasionally in 3d world, I main as luigi, so I don’t know if it’s different for others :)

the season change in smw is after the last special stage, not defeating bowser ;)

In 3D Land I don't know if you would consider this a hidden message what do you look through one of these telescopes there will be a UFO that will randomly appear I don't remember what level it is in

You missed one in odyssey where in lost kingdom if you ground pound at a certain spot in the beginning you get to see a pixelated luigi that is 3d

The colors and Mario masked koopas are caused by beating the special star road levels not Bowser...
I really wish they would make a new Super Mario Galaxy, they where my favorite by far

In super Mario world everything doesn't change until you beat the star road special levels NOT after you beat Bowser
it feels kinda unfortunate that you generally dont cover the mario & luigi titles in these vids as by technicality they are still mario games and i feel like they are deserving of mentions.............. not to say that the videos without them are bad or anything

You clearly don't know the definition of the word "hidden", at least not for the first half of the video. The Sunshine part is good though, as are the Galaxy and Galaxy 2 parts. You eventually deviate a bit from the topic though and just start going over secrets for the most part.
9:02 No, those were never meant to be levels. They are clearly just decoration. Without them the castle would look very barren and boring.
