    I appreciate that you said it’s not 100% foolproof. A lot of people claim that whatever they are doing to grow and/or root their cacti IS foolproof! Then, when beginners fail, they get discouraged and sometimes give up. Thanks for this video 🫶🏽

    Can I root a fully variegated gymno? Its cv is Neptune and it has no green at all. Don't want to graft cos I always fail. 😅

    Thank you for the video! I wanted to ask, is the lid necessary? I'm letting the pups root in separate pots so I can't really place a lid on top, but I guess I could put a small plastic bag over them?

    Is it true that pink moon cactus pups can't produce their own roots? Also other cactus that doesn't have green and violet colors?

      Those full striking pink and yellow definite wont be able to survive. Try those with purple. 👍🏻😊

      @pastasauce5900 4 роки тому +4

      The orange, red, and yellow can’t grow by themselves, but the dark purple and violet ones can.

    How did you root the cacti?

    Thanks for insightful video.
    I was wondering if you have advice about my moon cactus. I have had it since May but noticed it was taking a long time for the soil to get dry so I waited about a month till it was fully dry before I watered it again. I didn’t realize it was too much as it had root rot. I cut off the blackening parts so only a very small section of cactus is left; the top orange scion is fine for now but will not survive without being grafted to another cactus. Can I use any cactus like the
    Stenocereus Pruinsus Cactus or mini cactus to graft the Scion for moon cactus? I already have the mini cactus. Or would you recommend another cactus or can I keep the original cactus in the soil though it has been substantially cut with only a tiny bit of root left?

    • @CactaceaeReview
      @CactaceaeReview  3 роки тому

      Full perlite? U can try. But its kind of dusty and light weight. Might fly over the place.

    • @CactaceaeReview
      @CactaceaeReview  4 роки тому +1

      Hi Andy, u can try, in my other video, i tried out 50% pumice and 50% akadama. If your akadama is the hard type, shd be fined. 👍🏻
