Rad , Karate Kid , Gleaming the cube , Commando , Rambo , Rocky , Over the Top , Kick boxer , Bloodsport, the list goes on , 80s what a era what a generation
@@bettinahansen7630 I agree! I have lost track of how many times I have gone on You Tube to find the soundtracks from various 1980's movies and listen to the various songs.
My background was in architecture, I got to draw up the floor plans for John Farnham's new house in I think 2003. He gave our office his latest CD when he came in for a meeting
i was obsessed with this movie when I was a kid... like 6 or 7. my mom would always be so confused why i would rewind the credits and watch them over and over again.
Happened to me as well, I went further to take my VCR down to a friend's house, and plug it to his VCR, and record the intro, the dance scene and the credits on a tape all by themselves. Sure saved a lot of rewind/ff time. I watched this so much I can remember a few of the names of the film crew depending on the part of the song, if I am only listening to the song.In fact,in this particular version, the song is on another cue, as in the one I remember seeing, when Martin does the decade, the song was on the "heart of a lion" line. I remember rewinding that part the most in order to learn the trick.
This movie, the last dragon, the goonies, howling ll, bloodsport, aliens, predator, rocky, Rambo, the lost boys, lean on me, robocop, best of the best, karate kid, were movies that used to play daily in my house when I was a kid. Oh and Scarface, deep cover, and King of New York were also on a lot. The 80’s baby, when Men were MEN, and women were WOMEN.
I was 11 years old winning my first Karate tournament back in 86 listening to this music. Super motivating song. And a really Rad Movie!!!😎🌄Cry of the Wind. The Spirit of Fire. The Heart of Lion. Taking control..., burning desire... Flame NEVER dying. Great lyrics. And yes... I was obsessed with this movie too.
I love that era of epic 80’s motivation songs such as Win In The End (from Teen Wolf), Burning Heart (from Rocky IV), Hold On (To The Vision) (from No Retreat, No Surrender), The Moment of Truth and The Best (from Karate Kid) and many more. Nothing like that era of songs has ever come again since.
This movie is making me emotional it brought back so many memories as a kid and my older cousin introduced me to this movie and he would always ride different bikes and do tricks and we learned how to do tricks build bikes as well. this movie is a classic and will forever be in my heart. I think my fav part of the movie is the music.
I could not not watch this movie over and over and over again. When they both hit the cherry picker and shake hands just hits me. Stupidly powerful for me! The 80's was great!
There was a reunion movie screening of sorts 5 years back where the two guys who did the famous bike dance scene did tricks before the movie started. Even in their 50's they still kick butt. 25th anniversary screening
Such a classic movie and the music soundtrack was the best, I watched it again with my teenage son and he said "Dad you were lucky to have this when you were a kid"
This song was written by Lenny Macaluso & Gloria Sklerov. Collectively, they also wrote songs for Tina Turner, Rita Coolidge, The Temptations, Chromeo, Frank Sinatra, Peggy Lee, The Carpenters, Dusty Springfield, Nana Mouskouri, Steve Wariner, Dionne Warwick, Kenny Rogers, Anne Murray, Tanya Tucker and Cher among many others. They also wrote songs for many huge film soundtracks like Spaceballs, Boogie Nights and Transformers. Record labels owe these two writers millions of dollars they will likely never see a penny of and both of them wrote these songs out of passion for musical expression. Farnham and the studio musicians who played on this delivered it with fire. They obviously knew that it was a brilliant song. And that folks... is why this song is so great. Does anyone know who the guitarist and keyboardist are on this recording of the song Thunder In Your Heart? They are fantastic musicians with really great and unique sounds.
Nothing beats this only one movie.. this one... all of the factory riders are in all here... this are the end times.. wish they bring back the sons and daughters of these famous riders...
Rad was one of my all time favorites, be kind, rewind the movie before returning it. I miss those days, i loved those two freestylers, wanted to be like them. I got a 1987 Raleigh shock freestyle bike for Christmas and i LOVED that bike and i got good at freestyle. It was easy as a young kid to be good at most anything because my Brothers and I had no fear.
I was born in 1978, and I still pop 360’s over my garbage can while racing home as soon as the streetlights come on! Rattail blowing in the wind, Pattie labelle “own my own” cassette in my Walkman, rude dog shirt on my back….all to make it in time for moms fish sticks coming crisp out the microwave! Remember kids STAY RAD!!
My sister be like:Cambree can we watch rad she’s 5. Me :fine but only once.once the movies over she’s like again again BUT Ashe has HER OWN TV TO WATCH IT ON AND ITS ANNOYING AS CRAP
2:36 The end credits contain five "trainee" credits that are censored. According to co-writer Sam Bernard on the behind-the-scenes commentary, the reason why the job titles of the trainees are covered up is because the Writers Guild of America wouldn't let the crew put them in. Originally, "Trainee script writer" was written, but it was pulled at the last minute, worrying they could be fined.
I'm embarrassed to say that I'm an Australian and I've never heard this song by John Farnham or of this movie......sounds absolutely great, though! What's the movie called????
At 47,when I show my 10 year old how to table top on our 26" cruiser, this song is a staple on bmx to have in my head. Lunatic by static x when pinning forth whipping a 450f psyeah
i was trying to find where they filmed helltrack but its a wal-mart and starbucks now. cereal aisle is where the kix bowl was. i know i saw it. i forgot the milk when i got it man that cereal is crazy dry without that milk
Ok odd thing but I think cru is the cutest boy in the whole movie like if you agree dislike if you disagree and comment on my thing why you don’t like it and THX

80's movies had the best soundtracks🤘

Return of the Jedi. Goonies, temple of doom. American ninja. Monster squad. Predator. Maximum overdrive. Can’t forget thriller music wise.
The decade of the montage 😂
I'm a 41yr old black man. When I tell you I'm getting chills listening to this!! 🥶 I watched this VHS tape a Million times!!! I FUCKING LOVE MY ERA!!!

One of the coolest end credits in movie history
Yes and it’s pretty basic but still awesome. There is nothing like this made in the past 20 plus years

I did the same thing! The freestyle at the end was RAD! GREAT MOVIE.
The tricks in the credits are actually very, VERY, gay, literally. Sticking their butts in the air and bouncing them... The song is Rad though
The '80's kicked ass ! 🤙👍🙂
Farnham had the perfect voice for a hundred of these 80s soundtracks , but he was perfect anyway for everything.......... what a true king

One of the greatest 80s songs for a movie. My God, this song is unbelievable.
Farnsey is such a great singer

the songs in RAD give eye of the tiger a run for its money. I like them much more, but then I am biased.
I was 11 as well

Cannot tell you how many times I watched this, recorded on VHS.
Got paper round and BMX, felt so free.
Cool 🎉

Man that part was so meaningful. It imbododdied bmx . It's actually about freindship. And riding together. Trying new tricks. And having fun.
I’m being for real I started crying when they did that it was meaningful to me
The handshake brings me tears.
