We all know how great Petra was as a host in 2013 & 2016. Last night Sweden (and Loreen) won again. No matter where in Sweden Eurovision goes in 2024, whether it's Malmö, Stockholm, Gothenburg or any other place, I think it's a must that we see her again!
Sadly the only bad point in my opinion was the lack of originality in many of the songs that year, the most important aspect in Eurovision obviously.. But absolutely, the hosts, the organization/production, opening, Justin Timberlake, Love Love Peace Peace, the exciting voting sequence.. entertainment from start to finish, never get tired of watching the 2016 final

2016 hit really different. Opening was one of the greatest, Petra and Mans were delightful, stage was mindblowing, postcards were awesome, songs were bops, Globen was the perfect arena... It makes me even more sad to see this level of greatness and knowing we are missing out in 2020, first time in 64 years. ://

I discovered eurovision at 2016. And what can I say, I was so lucky to discover the contest that year because THE SONGS, PRODUCTIONS, EVERYTHING was so great!!!! The staging, performances, they’re all so memorable and I still rewatch 2016 every year!
You look too young to know about the hosts of this competition that go back to the 50s. Have you done research as to who the best host ever probably is? These hosts from Sweden ruined the visual element by broadcasting constantly flickering images, making old folk dizzy by zooming in and out every 3 seconds from cameras that flew all over the arena. 68 separate camera shots recorded the Spanish entry's song. Would a TV director have subjected Pavarotti to such a jumpy viewing? It's disrespectful to a performer to do this. Abba's 'Waterloo' performance only had 28 camera shots in '74. And no horrendous zooming in and out, flying above and below them. It was not a cosy TV performance as of old. And where were the grumpy, fat old men in black tie in the audience? As of old.

What an incredible year!! My hair stands on end every time I watch Dami Im’s performance for Australia - what an absolutely incredible voice!!! How she managed to belt like that from sitting down I’ll never understand and then to get down and deliver that unbelievable ending with all the vocal flourishes that weren’t on the studio cut, it’s just one of the most mesmerising performances I’ve ever seen. I’m so sad she didn’t win honestly, I was heartbroken for a while on the night, but Jamala is a very worthy winner! She also had an incredible song and a wonderful vocal performance.
Sweden knows how to put a show. The opening was so powerful and majestic. I hope we will see Mans and Petra next year with love peace peace song 2.0 including new inside jokes
Petra and Måns tottally outperformed Justin Timberlake with that middle act. No one even names him in the comments. I watched the entire show again, 2021. Still one of the best, if not THE best Eurovision final ever.
Rewatching now its like, Wow this really was the best eurovision as far as to 2020 when it comes to the production, and i also feel 2016 had a really high level of talent among the artists all songs where written and produced well, i personally didn’t like them all, but everyone have to acknowledge that this year every song had quality. Thats rare in Eurovision.

"DID an incredible job", it should only be. It's an idiomatic expression, a figure of speech. You can say, "Sweden made a great show" Or, "Sweden put on a great show." And one can say, "Sweden did a great show!" But "did" lends itself to being a figure of speech. It's more abstract. "Made" is more tangible. Therefore, there is a difference in meaning between "Sweden made a great show" and "Sweden did a great show". As for to 'make' a job: no way can that work as a figure of speech!

Romania are always fantastic at Eurovision. Thankfully, their debts have been paid and they are set for a comeback in Kiev. Let's hope this year's Melodi Grand Prix events produce fantastic entries for Norway and Denmark this year!

Watching this whole show all over again in 2021 just for Måns and Petra
This is probably the most well executed, planned and composed Eurovision contest. The event song choices, set design, lights, presentation of hosts, everything about it so well organized. Not one dull or awkward pauses. Well done Sweden, until next time its back there! I don't know how any other countries can top them off (hosting the contest wise).
I even enjoyed Måns' song Fire in the rain, usually I don't care about last year's new songs performed (like Jamala last year)

I discovered eurovision at 2016. And what can I say, I was so lucky to discover the contest that year because THE SONGS, PRODUCTIONS, EVERYTHING was so great!!!! The staging, performances, they’re all so memorable and I still rewatch 2016 every year!

You look too young to know about the hosts of this competition that go back to the 50s. Have you done research as to who the best host ever probably is?
These hosts from Sweden ruined the visual element by broadcasting constantly flickering images, making old folk dizzy by zooming in and out every 3 seconds from cameras that flew all over the arena. 68 separate camera shots recorded the Spanish entry's song. Would a TV director have subjected Pavarotti to such a jumpy viewing? It's disrespectful to a performer to do this. Abba's 'Waterloo' performance only had 28 camera shots in '74. And no horrendous zooming in and out, flying above and below them. It was not a cosy TV performance as of old. And where were the grumpy, fat old men in black tie in the audience? As of old.

What an incredible year!! My hair stands on end every time I watch Dami Im’s performance for Australia - what an absolutely incredible voice!!! How she managed to belt like that from sitting down I’ll never understand and then to get down and deliver that unbelievable ending with all the vocal flourishes that weren’t on the studio cut, it’s just one of the most mesmerising performances I’ve ever seen. I’m so sad she didn’t win honestly, I was heartbroken for a while on the night, but Jamala is a very worthy winner! She also had an incredible song and a wonderful vocal performance.
