Ive been thinking about this for years. I think Rockstar wants to make their online for gta 6 like RP. Now this furthers my theory. Love the news. So happy for Koil and Buddha!! And i guess xqc lol Lets fucking gooo
@@NovemberFoxtrotRC They won't do that because then they'd have the entire FiveM community bashing them... and the FiveM community is not as small as it may seem.
Amazing news for NoPixel,FiveM and the red dead rp scene. Honestly this was a great investment for gta might help them get in touch with what they need for gta6 and the mod/player base interactions. plus it’s easy money return for them. Everyone uses fiveM and some of the biggest streamers are on there servers. It’s going to be BIG KOIL!!! can’t wait to see how this effects no pixel. I think it’s going to provide a great opportunity for all sides
I saw a post by Blau asking devs of rockstar if they watched nopixel i think it was an if they ever consider a collab with fivem and nopixel something like thwt i think 2 or 3 years ago
My prediction is this acquisition is a massive win for modded/roleplay servers for the rest of GTAV’s lifespan, but once GTA6 comes out with its own roleplay based mechanics Rockstar will kill off the alternate servers to keep the user base and viewership on their vanilla game and servers
It's great to see and the potential for huge positives is there. But, there is also huge potential for R* taking ownership to monetize it and take full control. I'd love to think that this will result in some of the greatest jumps in quality of RP servers because of AAA dev support. Think dev support making 200/300/400 player servers with great performance possible. But, I could also completely see "official" servers come into play or huge expenses and rent for "non-official" servers like NoPixel. I mean how surprised would we actually be to see R* find a way to monetize it? They are a company after all.
I feel like this could end badly. Currently it’s still unknown what and how exactly rockstargames will be involved. It could very well end in them getting greedier and greedier.
I honestly think Rockstar will leave it alone, for the time being, or maybe even help it grow... They'll use this to garner support from the community and make themselves look good... While still charging all the console and gtaonline players for useless cars and shit... This is an opportunity for them to look good and have easy marketing to the thousands of people that watch roleplay...
Considering what Rockstar did to GTA online recently by removing cars that people had paid for, nerfing all the good money makers and raising the prices of stuff. Just for a quick money grab. Not too optimistic about this.
The biggest opportunities are going to come on Nopixel. I'm telling you sponsorships are going to end up being the biggest thing for streamers besides the improved gameplay and graphics. Just for example... we all know how much money GTA 6 is going to make. It's a given billion or so. With this new partnership and Rockstar incorporating roleplay into GTA 6 it would make sense for Rockstar to sponsor a whole lot of streamers when GTA 6 finally launches in a year or two. Buddha... Kebun... xQc... Ramee... all the big streamers will be playing GTA 6 on launch day with nice fat sponsorships I'm guessing.
If I were Koil, I wouldn't have given Buddha %25, that was just a "not worth it deal", because Buddha does not have viewership X has, not to mention the brand of X as the 1# streamer or even his play as a variety streamer, not "another GTA streamer". I would give XQC %40 of NoPixel and sign a deal with him to play on NP consistently for 2 years + bring his connections to play on the server like Kai, Adin Ross...etc. Another deal would be to give him %90 for 15 million investment into the server (maybe 8 mil for Koil and NP team). The rest of the money would go to buying assets for NP, hiring more devs to design new stuff for the server...etc. The second deal would benefit the server more, because X will be spend much more than 2 years, the connections and money, he would invest more in the future out of his own will, and his hype will bring more streamers to the game. (maybe Adin and Kai would bring rappers to play too)
Watch in 1.5x speed if your attention span is low
Thank you for the suggestion.. hey I have a question.
Has anyone ever met with Koil and a few other OGs and made a NoPixel documentary ?
1.75 to hear Koil but with full autism :p
already on 2x
Could either end up as a massive win for RP community or it could just kill it

Rockstar is a company who changes gaming. They don't just make games, they innovate them.
I guess this is why they told community made servers to get rid of trademark assets like cars and clothes.
Rockstar is going to nuke independent modded severs and make their own. Watch.

For me it’s just a way for Rockstar to improve their online play.
