    Sean, I truly thank you again for this video. I would've left these coins sitting in boxes, jars and bottles never really thinking of what I had accumulated coin wise until you featured them. I can't choose which one I like the most. What I can say that I am proud of is the bag of coins I put away 25 years ago dates start from 1938 to 1970 and they are beautiful.

One of the penny's I thought was a dime till I flipped it over and it is a 1943 penny. I don't know how to go about getting it graded or if I should. I don't like the idea to mail it to get it graded. What would you do if you were me ?

There was a miss print of 2009 D dimes. They said they minted 485,500,000 and the real mintage was 47,500.000. They were selling rolls for like 8 to 10 bucks and I bought 30. Distribution sets of 9 with the most valuable serial number from each set of 10 pulled out. Wait 10 years, pop up with the missing 10th bill and tell everyone no sale no matter what they offer.
      It will drive OCD collector heads mad to not have that even 10 in a row, and by keeping the serial number with best sequence, no one will ditch the other nine, cuz the prospect of getting a good single and completing a set would be irresistible.

    • @yemengoto4905
      @yemengoto4905 3 роки тому

      Joan Vaughan, there are a lot of 1909 VDB fake coins out there. I don't know where you reside, but to grade a coin you must find an address of a grading company online, fill the forms and mail them including your coin to them. It costs more than $50 to grade just a coin and you might be surprised to find out that your coin is worth nothing or fake. That's why most people don't want to take the risk to grade their coins for fear of incurring loss. It is very difficult for an old coin to get a grade of 67+, 68, 69 and 70. Eye can be deceiving because it is the machine that is going to determine the grade of the coin. If you really think that your coin is in great shape, then you can send it for grading. Prices you see in this video and on UA-cam are not real because they are auction prices where wealthy people bid and determine the price of a coin. To get your coins to auction, you must first pay a huge fee and your coins must meet the required grade. In brief, coin business is very complicated. But you can still sell your coin to any collector at a reasonable price. I have purchased coins from people like you.

    • @yemengoto4905
      @yemengoto4905 3 роки тому

      Marinella Jimenez, there is no collectible person to look at your collection and tell you if they are good. The only way you can do that is to send your coins for grading. Unfortunately, to grade a coin costs a lot of money; more than $50, and you might be surprised to find out that your coin is worth nothing. That's why most people don't want to send their coins for grading. Your coin must also meet the required grade of 67+, 68, 69 and 70 otherwise it is worth its face value, a penny. Don't be fooled by the prices you see in this video or your UA-cam because they are not real. They are auction prices where rich people bid and determine the price and value of a coin. To get your coin to any auction house, you must first pay a huge fee because if your coin doesn't sell, they will still earn. Again, to find out the value of your coins, you must money for that. But you can still sell your coins to collectors at a reasonable price without grading them. I have purchased some ungraded coins from people like you.

It doesn't matter how good or how your coin looks, before you sell it, you must grade it first. Unfortunately, to grade a coin costs more than $50 and you might be surprised to find out that your coin is worth nothing. That's why most people don't take the risk to grade their coins unless they are sure that their coins are new. Your coin must have a grade of 67+, 68, 69 and 70. It is very difficult for an old coin; a circulated coin to have that grade. The prices you see in this video or on UA-cam are not real. They are auction prices where rich people bid and determine the price of a coin. You must pay a fee in order to send your coin to an auction house. Any coin doesn't have a required grade is worth its face value; a penny. But you can sell your coins to a collector without grading them in a reasonable price. I buy ungraded coins from people including coins from different countries.

      lobo solo, don't try even to send your coins for grading unless they are almost new. It costs more than $50 to grade any coin and you might find out that your coins are worth nothing. Your coin must have a grade of 67+, 68, 69 and 70 in order for it to sell or get to auction houses. It is very difficult for circulated (old) coins to get that grade. That's why most people don't grade their coins for fear of incurring a loss. The prices you see in this video and on UA-cam are not real. They are auction prices where wealthy people bid for coins and determine the price of a coin. Again to send your coins to auction, you will pay a huge fee because if your coins do not sell, they will still earn, but you lose. Auction houses also do not accept anybody's coins. Most coins are from wealthy people who belong to certain clubs. But you can still sell your coins at a reasonable price to some collectors. If you have some old Pennies, Nickels, Dimes, Quarters, Half-dollars and Dollars' coins you can sell me. If you do have error coins that's fine too. Thanks

      Lee Knight, auction prices are not real. They are not fixed because wealthy people who bid and determine the price of a coin. That's why I usually tell people that there is no fixed price or fixed value for any coin. A coin that is sold $100,000.00 at auction can be purchased in any coin store for $20 or $25.
