I have a theory on what would happen next in the story, so what if John Wade (the legit one) found out about what these 3 were doing so he then decides to play a form of game where each of them would find clues around happy hills for a chance to meet him so he can then watch them fight to the death or something

The new killer uses that confusion and throws his mask at the father, hitting away his gun. Then there’s a scuffle for the gun ending with the killer picking it up and knocking the father to the floor. Then the killer says “Look me in the eyes” and then he’s about to pull the trigger, when from the shadows a sword is stabbed through the new killer and he drops then shotgun and is levitated in mid air before being thrown off, dead. Then real John Wade appears from the shadows AND THEN the detective comes out of nowhere and points a gun at John Wade. Then idk.
I actually think it’s John wade that you played as but the reason he is killing is because he is pissed off that somebody’s is copying him and he is trying to show the town that he is the real one and not the other copycat
Predictions: The father will die/sacrifice themselves by the end of the game to try stop the copycat or real Wade The copycat will be killed by the real wade in the final act The final act will revolve around the detective tracking down OG Wade Real Wade will be killed at the end

The Copycats were all caught for that one, but the OG Killer never was.
I find it funny how you based most of the story on that supposed copycat, because it is not the copycat you're playing as. The masked killer you take control of is the original John Wade. In the latest update of the demo I tried to make that more clear. I did not anticipate at all that people would not expect him to be the original killer, my apoligies. Really liking the way you explain the story! Very fun and generous to listen to. The story may change however when the final game drops. Cheers!

The ending seem to be able to go many ways now that there's seem to be a third side. What if John Wade is actually seeking redemption, but now people will kill him because of the masscure he has cause in the previous game, and want to put an end to this chaos once in for all. The Detective also seems to be confused of how could this be John Wade. In the previous game, once you beat the game you'll see him looking out the window, what if he just took off his mask and that's how this copycat got the mask after all it is torn. It will be a twist if the detective and John Wade will work together in the final act against the copycat and Madison's father.
Nah I think the mask the copycat wore was a different one. John always kept his mask with him,he kept himself unmasked but still kept it with him. Pale Grin is already popular, so it's possible that the copycat just bought a Pale Grin mask for himself though and I don't think the detective and Madison's dad would go against each other not that much at least. Other than that,your theory seems quite fine
