- 5.6% alcohol. Brewed in Poland by Heineken International.
"The most famous beer from Zywiec Brewery, brewed with the best domestic grade of hops and malt, from crystal clear mountain water, according to the traditional recipes of the Zywiec brewers."

Hadn’t had in a while & not as easy to find here in VB as my native NJ. Did grab a couple single 500 ml bottles at one/ only VB Polish store yesterday & drank 1 tonight. While not quite up to to level of best German & Czech offerings, it BLEW THE DOORS off the Budweiser I had before it, and I’m a Bud fan when comes to AAL.
Yeah, Louisiana gets basically NO beers from Poland, aside from a few, expensive Baltic porters.
What a great video ;) I’m trying Zywiec light tonight ;)
Thank you, and I bet you enjoyed it. I didn't realize they made a light version. I appreciate you watching, Aga K.
And Tyskie is great too...one of my go to beers.
Tyske IS good! Thanks for watching, Danny O'Neill. I appreciate it!
9% Porter? Mmmm. A deep, dark buzz. There's a place not far from here just may have it.
About to switch from a DAB to trying a Zywiec for the very first time.
May go well with the sauerkraut soup I bought at a Polish store down the road.
More of an emporium of everything Polish. From an Irish-German I
love the Polish people and their food. Let the good times roll Poland!
Cheers to the beers of the world!
Yes, cheers to the beers of the world!
Great review! I've had the Zyweic Porter and liked it. I'll have to try this one. Cheers!
Thanks! Cheers, back to you!
Thanks for the review. Definitely seemed like it had a nice pale and bready malt, yeast, and a balanced finish. This was a no-frills beer. Nothing out of the ordinary and no-frills here. My first beer from Poland. Agree, a standard Euro Lager here. No complaints.
Right- no complaints. Thanks for watching, Robert Funk. I appreciate it!
A snowbird neighbor left me with two bottles of Z before he headed north recently. A flavorful lager with some nice bitterness finish.
That was a nice gift.
I haven’t had “chi-vich” in a few years but I think my pallet has changed. I don’t remember it being so sweet. It’s just ok, imo. Good review. 👍🏼
I can't even get it, if I want to. Thanks.
I always have trouble pronouncing this beer's name! interesting to know it changed over the years.
I get these in 500ml bottles in Canada Ill drink it and prefer it to a lot of the adjuncts made in Canada but I find it a little sweet and yeasty for my liking compared to beers like Paulaner Munich Hell and Hofbrau Helles.
Maybe it's the ABV or maybe I got an old bottle will have to check it out in Cans if I see it at my local stores.
Btw I think your friend might have been referring to the Austrian beer "Kaiser" we get that here and it has a similar can design.
I wish Hofbrau beers would return to Louisiana.
@@ronaldtheriot I know you do I feel bad whenever I mention them, Paulaner hell is just as good if u get a fresh can
I go to a polish-American festival near me every few years and this is whats always served. The vendor pronounces this “chi-vich.” I’m half polish and this makes sense as far as I know the language.
I'll have to check it🍻
It's well worth it.
Have you had the O.K Okocim? It is also 5.6 percent, and after quickly looking at a few others, it seems like a common abv for Polish beers, perhaps regional preference? I need to have some of the other euro lagers a second time to be sure, but I liked it more than the 1664 or carlsberg green label despite the higher abv. I also like the carlsberg elephant despite it being 7.2 but dislike ice beers and high gravity 8 percent lagers.
I don't know if it's just placebo since I haven't had them blind or at the same time, but I think it has to do with the sweetness from the adjuncts, where as the strong euro lagers I've had follow the reinheitsgebot.
That's probably the reason- the adjuncts. Well, yes. I have reviewed the Okocim. It's great! Thanks for watching, BillWilson. I appreciate it!
it’s pronounced zhee-vyets
Yes, you're right. Thanks for watching, HausmeisterEngineering. I appreciate it!
good beer but prefer german helles
Those are good ones.
