For the little divot on the wheel, look up bump dots. They're tactile stickers mostly used by people who have trouble seeing, but there are ones with divots in them like that.
Blackmagic needs to release speed editor v2 with macro mapped keys. I don't need anything more than a jog wheel and about 32-40 macro shots. It would be great if you could control some parameters using the jog, e.g. use the zoom in/zoom out shortcut and rotate the jog. The same in the color tab. Shortcut contrast/saturation/temp and so on. I'm waiting for Blackmagic to finally do it!
Nw your speaking my language, I 110% agree with you. If they did that, they would grab a big chunk of the marketer as it relates to creators. That really would be awesome, only caring one device sounds really good to me. I’m waiting with you.
Great video. I wish you had the Elgato Streamdeck Plus with the 4 knobs to compare as well. I have that, and I also have the Stream Deck XL like you. I just purchased the Logitech Master Series to replace my Microsoft Comfort Keyboard and Mouse. So, I have the Logi MX Keys S keyboard and the Logi MX Master 3S Mouse. Personally, having used many combos over decades of work, I'm in love with this set. So that lead me to the MX Control Console and your video. Perhaps you'll get your hands on the Elgato Stream Deck + at some point and do an update video.
The problem with the MX wheel is that you mapped it to scroll so it is affected by Windows scroll speed settings. Map it to left/right arrow instead. If you have a 3d printer, print a slip-on "hat" for the wheel with an indentation for your finger.
Is it a total different experience using the Mx creative console on a mac than it is a surface? I have a MacBook and like you, love that the creative console comes with both macro buttons and a dial! You mentioned it was harder to setup on Mac?
Honestly, I’m not sure if it’s harder or not I didn’t even try it, I would assume it’s about the same. My Mac combo is solid so I didn’t even touch it, but in the video I was saying it’s going to take up to much of my time to get it dialed in the way have my stream deck setup- I was being lazy and didn’t even bother with it.
I'm really trying to find something to save my wrists...I mostly edit in After Effects (serious edits) and also Rush (UA-cam edits). What device would you recommend? I would also like something that works with OBS. Thank you for the video!
I personally would lean towards the Tourbox Elite because of the buttons & wheels and I would go with the Shuttle pro as my way go zooming through the timeline. Now if you don’t need wheels then you could swap out the TourBox Elite for the Stream Deck or go with the MX Creative Console but as a serious editor you will find it limiting only have 9 buttons and having to scroll pages it does break the editing flow. The TourBox Elite & Shuttle pro is just an awesome comb that can be used in many different ways with more Marco Buttons than I need for my workflow it really is my all around go too.
Yes, from my understanding it’s advance haptic feedback ( what ever than means ) and Bluetooth 5.0. They suppose to have one coming out that’s compatible with the iPad called TourBox Elite Plus.
The creative console is still way too overpriced with 200$ If it had double the buttons ok but logitech just wants to take a bath in your well earned money. Rather invest in a good mouse and buy the , it has 4 times the buttons of a normal mouse AND an analog stick AND a 5-way d-pad.
I get that, for me as a person who can’t afford to outsource editing, I have to find ways to speed up my edits and make them more enjoyable so it’s worth the price tag for me. Now if I wasn’t using it for editing than your right I honestly wouldn’t buy it because the stream deck has more Marco Buttons but I wanted that knob and the portability pushed me over the edge.
Awesome work! You’ve done something I wish I had the budget for. Thanks for a super informational video!
Your welcome, thanks for the kind words.
Great review. To the point. I’m looking for one of these and this was very helpful.
Awesome, happy I could help.

Thanks I’m going to do that.
Great review. Most helpful.
Awesome, thank you.
Excellent video and insights. Thank you!

Okay I don’t have that combo, it’s sounds solid I’m going to have to check that out too.
Thank you.
Agree 💯! Contour Shuttle Pro .. improve the software and I’m sold.
You and me both.
It’s amazing how a handful of small features makes such a big impact on our workflow.
Thanks for the video... made my mind up...! cheers!
Your welcome. That’s awesome cheers!
Very insightful, thank you!
Your welcome.
Man.. YOU ARE THE BEST
Thank you for the kind words.
I’ve found that if I stick a self adhesive corn cushion on the dial it’s very similar to the dimples on the competitor’s control wheels.
Could you drop a link and show me what you’re talking about?
I would like to try that too.

Unfortunately, I don’t have a 3D Printer, but I’m going to try the left right.
Great video! Are you able to share the timestamps for each console?
Thank you sure I will update with timestamps

For windowa only. If all your devices broke, and you could only replace one set, what would you rebuy? Cheers
I’m going to rebuy my MacBook Pro Microsoft just isn’t there yet. Now I would grab the Surface Pro 11 over any iPad including the M4.
@
Thanks.
What control surface would you re buy for editing?
MX Creative Console because I switching between Mac and PC.
good video
Thanks.
Thanks a lot!!!

TourBox Elite have haptics, TourBox Neo does not, right?
