    So excited to read the in depth explanation of each new setting and its adventure. "Creepy southern gothic horror in a bayou" is one of the most up my alley things I've ever dang heard. Love a good bayou. Also hyped to see the new monsters in this book, especially these swamp/river monsters

    Absolutely love this adventure and setting. The Awakening Song idea is captivating and stole the stage of the adventure. I wanted my players to get a verse in the song so badly after reading through the adventure. THANK YOU!!!

      @@CitanulsPumpkin Well, I know for a fact "nerdy" causes the majority of people offence (whatever their ethnic background) - maybe you were one of the few that weren't bullied back in the day?
      That's like taking any other slur, making it "cool" to say today, and then tell me I'm silly for taking offence to it.
      And you know fine "simply stating facts" doesn't wash. If the same statement was made about any other ethnicity it would be, at best, taken as insensitive.
      Thing about racism: you can't be selective about who you offend. It's not okay for one and different for another.
      Sure, different people have had to suffer thru different things historically (before you tell me how much your great grandfather had it worse than mine). What matters is we're all human. And we all have feelings.

    • @ham1nator1337
      @ham1nator1337 2 роки тому +7

      @@theophrastusbombastus1359 "Nerd" is not a slur. Slurs are based on things you can't control, and you can control whether or not you're a nerd. Furthermore, nerd culture is basically mainstream at this point. I don't know if you remember back in 2010 when the whole "nerdy is sexy" thing was going on, but nerds are more respected now than ever before. Tons of people self-identify as nerds these days, so I question whether the majority really takes offense to the term.

    It's always fun to see people lose their minds because a black person writes a D&D adventure. Because that's what they're mad about. The adventure isn't even *about* racism, the people in the adventure weren't even transplanted by slavery, they were transplanted by benevolent gods, and the monster isn't even a racism monster, just a "turn people against each other" monster.
    All of the negative aspects of Erin's family history has been scrubbed clean of this. This is inoffensive as it can get, and people are *still* offended by it!

      If you want to fight the racism monster in your D&D go ahead. It'd not that hard to set up a campaign where the PCs come to a town and realize something is wrong that they have you fix. It'd be a pretty boring campaign though. Just the PCs repeatedly stabbing NPC nobles named after fox news anchors and republican politicians.
