You could make an effect so that a widget with a stamina bar appears while sprinting, and when you stop sprinting, it disappears after a few seconds. Like in FNAF Security Breach

A tip would be to make a StartSprint and StopSprint function for setting the walkspeed so it doesn't get as cluttered :) Eventually in some games you're going to set up many booleans as to check wheter you're doing something and don't want to allow sprint so you can set sprinting to true in the function. I'm pretty new to unreal so my explanation is probably shit :P But this works though 100%
I have an observation. If you hold down the W key and then shift and release the W key, the effect still applies, hopefully you'll see it and find something to fix it. Still, very good video bro, it helped me.
get velocity > vector length > trunicate > create new variable called "speed" then drag it and set it. plug the ex pin for speed into event tick, and plug the float into the trunicate, it'll convert it. then just branches for reverse and play of the timeline. Way better that what the dude did.

thanks for the tutorial man, really helpfull. i just have one question, for some reason if i start running and then stop pressing "W" while still pressing the "left shift key" when i start pressing "W" again i keep being in a state of sprinting even without pressing "shift", i both walk faster and the FOV is higher do you know how to fix this? i hope i explained my self, thanks.
How do I not zoom in the FOV while sprinting when the FOV is zoom back? If you don't understand what I'm saying, is about the zoom in the "How To Make a Smooth Zoom In/out Effect in UE5" and also this video that both zooms the FOV, but if I'm sprinting of course I don't want to zoom while sprinting and zoom while sprinting because the FOV glitches. Please help me out.
Don't do this. FoV is an accessibility issue and screwing with it makes your game unplayable and nauseating to huge numbers of people. Stop screwing with people's eyes to fake going fast.

Don't do this. Screwing with players' FOV is the fastest way to make a game nauseating and migraine inducing. It's a severe accessibility issue.

@@simplyastery I am just not sure about the part where you pin EXEC pin into event tick. Because event tick only has an OUt port.
