Led Zeppelin is widely regarded as the greatest rock band of all time. And for very good reason. There are so many of their songs that are just as good as this one it's impossible to pick just one. My personal favorite is 'Since I've Been Loving You'. Start there. Here's a link. ua-cam.com/video/w4THXeOD-Dw/v-deo.html
John Bonham is buried in St Michael churchyard, Rushock in Worcestershire not far from where I live.People still leave drum sticks on his grave as a mark of respect.
@@gillan5I can dig all that you said, but Bonham was the first to bring it all in one package. With the rest of the band, who are all top brass musicians in their own rights, brought it to the masses with the popularity that they garnered. At the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, it states that Zeppelin was to the 70s what The Beatles were to the 60s, and I agree! Bonham was the real deal, 'nuff said.
I grew up listening to Led Zeppelin, they have been my favorite of all time. Funny thing is that when I was a teenager listening to the great music of the 70's early 80's I didn't understand what musical geniuses they were i.e. Zeppelin, Pink Floyd, Queen, The Who, The Doors etc. I'm a huge fan of watching UA-cam reaction video's to this music, I get to relive these Masterpieces through fresh eyes and truly understand how fortunate I was to grow up with it, this music is timeless and it's great to see so many people discovering it. Led Zeppelin, the worlds greatest blues and rock band in history! John Bonham, John Paul Jones, Jimmy Page, Robert Plant... all master class artists! John Bonham was the drummer, and there will never be anything like him. All drummers try to compare themselves to Bonzo, few meet the measure. There are so many songs by Led Zeppelin that I love, so I won't name them all, I'd just point to whole albums. However, one of my fave-faves is "In My Time Of Dying", which is a cover of another blues song. Hits all the right notes. I also love "Kashmir", "Immigrant Song", "Rock And Roll", "Black Dog", and the quintessential Led Zep song: "Stairway To Heaven", which literally is rated by many as the greatest song in rock and roll ever.
I'm a 56 year old rock singer/keyboardist/guitarist. I've always tried to copy familiar voices; Billy Joel, Elton John, Paul Rogers, and of course, Robert Plant! Truly an inspiration! Love your videos!
That's pathetic. Minnie was born Lizzie Douglas in 1897, she was a dirt poor rural Black American in Mississippi. You talk about "light years"? The great flood of 1927 saw the Delta region covered in deep water. Food supply was cut off. The white relief workers held back food rations only to the Blacks who labored each day building new levees. Lizzie Douglas and many others finally migrated away from the South, to Chicago or Detroit. Lizzie became Memphis Minnie, writing over 200 songs, and being early electric guitar player, yes a woman. Minnie was Light Years ahead of where US society would rather she stay. All the British and Yanks took to study the Delta Blues, but Jimi Hendrix had it inside him. That's the difference. Yes, great studio cut by LZ, who had technology on their behalf.
This is based on a real event The Mississippi River flooded in 1927 it flooded 27,000 square miles by 1929 the government came in and started building levees along The Mississippi! Great song! Rock On!🤟🤟👍😎
Was the first time the federal gov't helped a local area (a total contradiction of the constitution). The various local authorities gathered up all the black men who made onto the levee, and put them into unpaid labor to fill anyplace they could shore up the different levees. An instant return to slavery.
The first ever Led Zep LP I bought during the mid-1970's while in Jr. High. I think I recall getting it at Woolworth's. A tremendous intro for me to this band. I haven't listened to this entire album in years, but, I think every song is amazing. Good pick!

I first heard this around 1978 when I was 16. For me as a Brit it brings up images of the deep south and the harmonica sounds like a steam train. I'm not sure what kind of blues this is based on (Mississippi delta blues?) but it's a 70s English band's take on the blues. It's rooted in black American music.
An amazing tribute to the results of societal competition! The 'Baby Boomers' were so numerous their generation ended up with a huge competition pyramid, when it came to the arts. It was such a highly stacked filter, only the amazing came out the commercial end. The '60s and '70s saw huge musical innovations in popular music.
He seemed a bit skeptical and hesitant at first, then he really “got into it.” Led Zeppelin 4 is my favorite LZ album; it came out just after my 18th Birthday.

This song, the last on the fourth album, just kills. It's about 50 years old and still sounds relevant. That alone makes it clear that they were very ahead of their time.

Hello Ty,was going through some of your older videos-SO glad this popped up! LOVE this song! Thanks for playing this.By any chance have you reviewed the Immigrant Song? It's short sassy and a screamer!
You need to do anything and everything off of Supertramp's Crime of the Century album. Dreamer, Rudy, the title track, such a fantastic album from start to finish. IMHO best album ever made by any one.
The other fun fact about this song, besides the thing about the drums, is that the harmonica was intentionally distorted. Jimmy Page did the sound production on the track and he put the echo of Robert Plant’s harmonica playing in front of the sound of his playing. That’s why there are no recordings of them playing the song live. It’s literally impossible to perform.
"Because mutiny on the bounty is what we're all about" Beastie Boys sampled this song and I can't help myself from singing the first line from Rhymin and Stealin!
The greatest band to walk the earth.

Zeppelin GOAT when rock gods walked amongst us! If you get a chance can you react to Stairway way to heaven and since I've been loving you live.
Off of the song remains the same dvd. Watching them play live is next level so raw and powerful! Thanks!
While you're in the area you should listen to the album Presence by Led Zeppelin, the song "Black Dog"
Need to do "Since I've Been Loving You" off Led Zeppelin III. Heavily dipped in the blues sauce.
This is a Memphis Minnie cover, she was born in Algiers / NOLA..

Led Zeppelin- Trampled Under Foot, Bring it on Home, Moby Dick, Ten Years Gone, Rain Song and Song Temains the Same.
My favorite zeppelin tune.
Greatest drummer. Greatest guitarist bass player also plays organ piano synthsizer and more lead singer robert plant on harmonica
Yes, Mr. Bonham is the King of drummers, but Cozy Powell is the Crown Prince.
They were honored at the Kennedy Center with Obama and his wife in the audience. Obama was singing along with some of their songs too.
IMHO best album ever made by any one.
achilles last stand is one of my favorites.
