  • Take a walk down Louisiana’s eastern border in this final of a trilogy of river essays from Louisiana Public Broadcasting. Uncover the secrets of Poverty Point and Grant’s Canal, see Winter Quarters in Newellton, hear the story of d’Iberville’s journey, tour Laura Plantation and stroll where the famous court case of Homer Plessy began. Join us as we go “Walking to New Orleans” in this poignant search for the vanishing landmarks and faded cultural icons of the Mississippi River Delta.

I’m so thankful for all these historians who are working with others to provide information and preserve our deeply diverse cultures in Louisiana and their rich history.

I grew up watching the same but PBS and I liked all except Antiques Road Show. The word patina just bores me to tears.
In fact, PBS is how I developed a love for all things British even to this day.
Your wife may or may not like your shows but she'll make room for them.
      Cheers, mate😊

Do you guys have the master tape with multiple audio channels? I noticed you cut out all sections with copyrighted audio meaning you must be using the mixed down tape, but if you could find the master tape you could change theses sections to the audio channel with narration only. Just saying

Thanks for the tip. We have some, but not others with multiple audio channels. We'll take a look at this one.

I believe the muted sections could be due to “copyrighted music”

What is the hood. Did you ever refer to the neighborhood as the Hood. Before the movie. Boyz in the hood. No you didn't. It's a crude and ugly slang. It's sicking.

Yes, where do you think the idea of the movie title comes from? Its not an ugly slang, its just the American way of shortening words and Black Americans often remove the first syllable off many words
