    One thing I would have done different is push the piece into the oyumaru instead of the other way around, this way the bottom stays flat and there's no warping when making more.

    How is your ventilation m8?
    You dont want painters disease.
    Maybe you can use the stuff that is used for motorcycles too. If you know what kind of plastic the sprues are made of, maybe you can find way more at a scrapyard.

    Not sure if this is covered (if so I completely missed ir) but I've been trying some simple molds but have two questions.
    1. The drying time seems to be a lot longer then I expected based on this video, is there a rule of thumb or should I just feel if it is hardened and hope for the best.
    2. Sometimes it feels like there's air stuck in the goo, what is the best way to address those or how do I prevent them at all?
    Anyways appreciate all the videos and information you provide so thank you!

      pure acetone from the pharmacy does it

    Could you do this with a relief mould? So, you'd print a 'stamp' (or inverse relief of your tile), then push/imprint that into a large rolled-out sheet of sprue-glue. I just found your channel, and love it! Subscribed! But I was wondering how the relief-print might work, could speed up the process! I'm imagining you could make a grid for tiles, even a 4x4, apply/roll/flatten your sprue glue across that and then press your relief into those one by one. Cheers

    Discovered your channel and loving all the suggestions. Question can your sprue goop be made from Gunpla runners? As in ACetone will melt it? Not sure if the plastic of 40k sprues is the same as Bandai Gunpla. and will react similarly.
    Either way you have convinced me not to throw away my sprues and ending up in a landfill. Always up for greener solutions. Our planet is already suffering as it is.

    Love your videos❤️. The details will improve if you dp the form in lego(like a frame) and then you do the imprint of the part you copiying you should make a “stamp” fitting the frame and then you will get more even presure in the mold giving the imprint more detailed. Usinf the”stamp” when adding the pressure in the styrene the pressure vill help to create a better copy.

    • @1krani
      @1krani 2 роки тому

      @@MiniatureHobbyist
      Well, come to think of it, they need not be game-specific. A pillbox for Bolt Action is a pillbox that would work for any game of similar scale, 40K included. Likewise, a fixed cannon could just as easily become a sci-fi bombard or Japanese shinto gong with some simple modifications. In fact, starting with a shinto gong and then turning it into a cannon might be the better course.
      Just food for thought. You seem to be better at these things than me.
