I’m thinking about rubber or cork underlayment on my concrete slab with engineered hardwood. Would you guys recommend one over the other?

Can hardwood floors be glue to gypsum? Can't find any youtube video advising Hardwood installs on Gypsum?

Yes, we recommend you use engineered hardwood when you want to glue down your floor on Gypsum concrete. Solid wood should not be glued down on concrete.

Felt paper is saturated with tar that has VOC’s and smells like tar long time after installation no home owner likes that. Tar maybe okay for outside but please don’t use it inside. If you see what chemical are in lab test for felt paper you will be surprised. As a clean alternative place try Silicone Vapor Shield by All Globe meets the NWFA requirements and is sold in more than 1000 locations in USA and Canadian at about the same price.

Is it ok to use foam underlayment on concrete w/engineered bamboo wood in kitchen not using glue or a nail down method?

Jason does not use or handle bamboo flooring. So we cannot give a competent, tried-and-true answer to your question at this time. Sorry about that.
