I had a professional gunsmith install the P07 pro package from Cajun, and the trigger feels spectacular. I also installed the Night Fision night sights with the yellow front and blacked out rear. It is a phenomenal package and will be utilized as my every day carry.
I wish I could find someone else local with the Cajun Pro setup in a P07. I am sadly disappointed in mine. I just got it back and from the first pull, I wished I had never gotten it. It HAS to be just mine. There are too many positive reviews on them, and my other CGW builds are perfect.
Thanks to your comments on more aggressive grip texture, I learned to stipple and now love aggressive texturing. Simply bought a $20 Weller brand 25 piece kit and practiced with various tips on the bottom of a plastic tool box. I then practiced on the interchangeable back straps of several pistols. Then took the plunge and started on an older, cheaper polymer pistol. Absolutely pleased with the outcome. Now I stipple anything. that is even close to smooth or slick. Great review - really appreciate your honest reviews!!!
One thing that would help keep your Talon grips on longer is this: most people use isopropyl alcohol to prep the surface ... try lacquer thinner instead. You can get it at WM in the paint section. It's safe for painted surfaces or clear coated, or plastic surfaces. It is the BEST surface prep cleaner you can use. And after all, as with anything you are adding to a surface, prepping it properly is the most important step.
I've had a P-07 for a little more than a month now, and I'm absolutely in love with it (and I've owned several DA/SA Sigs in the past). Haven't felt a need to do much to it yet, other than add a few 17-round mags to the mix and an Olight PL-Mini which I'm really liking on this this gun. The only other thing I've done is ditch the front sight for a neon orange Night Fision tritium sight, which is fantastic - fast sight acquisition in daylight and very bright in the dark.
I just ordered the P07 OD green. Was blown away that it comes out of the box with tritium sights. As far as the trigger goes for a self defense pistol a snazzy trigger don't mean much to me anyway. If you train with any gun you can make it work.
That is true. But for really accurate work, a great trigger makes a huge difference. At 10 or 20 yards, no big deal but stretch the distance to 50 and it's easy to see the difference.
I agree. Spent 32 years using a lot of Uncle Sugar’s guns so changing the trigger was not an option. On my personal carry guns I like to keep them as close to stock as possible. I always have good results just controlling my front sight and really not thinking about the trigger at all. As a firearms instructor for the USMS I found that a lot of people having accuracy problems were folks that thought about the trigger (anticipation) instead of just getting on their sights. But at the end of the day it’s results that matter and if people have more success changing triggers, getting work done or thinking about the trigger while shooting I wouldn’t argue with them or say they’re wrong.
August 2023 Ive had my CZ P07 a few days after I saw it on your channel for the first time Wayback when. Anyway, was thinking about getting the Beretta PX4 and a friend of mine told me before I do that. Try the MCARBO Spring kit. For a whopping $34 bucks shipped. It’s replaces all the springs and you polish a little bit and holy cow. What a difference. They have a video that makes it easy to do all the stuff and you don’t have to be scared . Saved me from buying another pistol ,,,,,,at least for now.
I wish CZ made this in 10mm... I absolutely LOVE my P-09 and 07 (been carrying the 07 for years now, only wish I could get I-Dot Pro's on the thing and I run Cajun parts on almost all of my CZ's) and while I also love my Glocks, these pistols are hands down some of the best polymer pistols in existance. The new TLR-7 is awesome on the P-07 too.
So, I made the switch to DA/SA from striker fired about a year ago and couldn't be happier with my decision. I had my pistols narrowed down to this blaster and the Beretta PX4 Storm Compact and decided on the Beretta. Now, 1 year later I'm regretting my decision. I had to send my Beretta back into the factory for repairs after it started having some really odd malfunctions. It's been there for going on 2 months and Beretta is yanking me around trying to charge me over $200 for what is clearly a warranty covered issue. I really like that the CZ P-07 can have standard weapon lights mounted to it's dust cover and that if I so choose I can have the slide milled for an RMR Type 2. The Beretta has the striker block poke through the top of the slide so it can never be milled for an RMR. Thanks for this review! If I go with the P-07 I'll probably buy it straight from Cajun with the trigger and guts already installed. And CZ Custom has some different sights they call the HTAC that has a ledge on the front of the rear sight for emergency manipulations that I'll probably go with. All in all, I agree that the P-07 may just be the best compact pistol made.
First saw this video some time ago, and today while out looking for a new CCW I saw this beauty for a phenomenal price. Thankful I can now say, I’m a new owner of the CZp07!
looking at the video i can clearly see the four flaws of Omega trigger are still there - too long travel to the wall, too long break, terrible reset (better than nonexistent reset on stock trigger but still...) and way too much overtravel. why invest so much money into pistol that starts with BAD trigger instead of tuning one with traditional and MUCH better CZ 75 trigger - P-01, SP-01, hell even PCR will have vastly superior stock trigger and they can be tuned to competition level and probably cheaper... PS: if you want to know what sweet "stock" CZ trigger feels like, try the Shadow2 - semi curved and polished smooth trigger with just about ideal double action weight, short pretravel in SA, short crisp break and basically nonexistant overtravel and reset.
Asghaad The CZ 75 looks really dated next to the 07 or P10C it may have a better trigger but it also cost more so I'd rather buy the newer pistols and upgrade but to each his own right?
you do know that CZUB makes more than CZ75 and P-07/P10 right ? P01/SP01 and PCR are the modernized CZ75 derivate pistols that should be compared to P-07/P-09, not the original old 75 design ... and they are pretty close in price to P-07, only really expensive ones are Shadow (especially custom higly tuned Shadow Orange) and Shadow 2
Asghaad Yes I know that and those models are exactly what I was comparing to the 07 and P10c the hand grip panels from 50 years ago make the CZ75 updates look like dinosaurs to me I'm not interested. Compared to the latest CZ offerings I don't care how good the stock triggers are I will modify and keep it current you can roll out with your 75 and M1 Garand its all good.
I did the lite job on mine.11.5 # hammer spring, extended firing pin and spring, and of course the roll pin. Polished the safety plunger and that's it. Went from 10# DA to 6.5#, SA went from about 4.25# to 3#. Don't know about light strikes yet but I bought a 15# spring just in case.
Just bought a cz p07 and am currently waiting the 3 day wait period. So badass I see that you enjoy the gun! I've been watchin your videos for so long!
A local FFL had one for 500. It was barely used. The actual price was 389. In Washington they were trying to get guns with more than 10 round mags sold. Ive been buying p07 mags and they gave me the 2 that came with it before the mag ban goes in effect july 1
@@americanmilitiaman88 mag ban?! That doesnt sound good. My p07 came with a total of 4 mags, total price of just south of 500 dollars. Lightly used. Absolutely LOVE the fucker. It's the duty, older model. All stock. Most accurate firearm I've shot so far!
Great review! You've done a lot to your P-07. NB: The Omega trigger isn't about the shape of the trigger - the Omega trigger is the new trigger mechanism that CZ had introduced a few years ago. My CZ P-07 Duty has the Omega trigger system but has the traditional curved CZ trigger. I love this pistol and will never sell it. It has been my EDC going on 5 years now. My next addition will be the CZ P-10C. I've watched all your reviews on it and I just gotta have it. Thanks for sharing
I agree with loving the p-07. If I had to hear up to fight, I'd take my p-07 over my Glock 19's, it just shoots so beautifully and is utterly reliable at least equal on reliability to the Glock. My p-07 tactical has the stock omega trigger and I'm consistently doing 3" 5 shot groups at 25 yards and the nitride finish is superior to the Glock gen 4 and 5 imo. The slide rails are extremely beefy and it is built like a tank. The grip feels much better than a Glock too but I'm not a grip snob. the stock night sights are EXCELLENT and I actually shoot tighter with it than my Dawson precision sighted sp-01 just because the sights are excellent from the factory. Absolutely LOVE THE P-07
Ken Morrison Every time I see an Englishman posting on gun channels my heart goes out too you. :( Former conquerors of the world reduced by childish policies:/
Arcaneleaf ' and all because a politician got shot. When it was just the general public getting shot that was fine but one of them get shot and that was the start of the end for us here in England.
Ken Morrison I love when I see friends from across the pond talk about firearms and how they would love to have one. I'm sorry for your crazy government. But if you can have bb guns look up the asg they make p07/09s
I absolutely love my completely stock P-07. I put the rubberized talons on mine. That's it so far but I'd love to get it Cajunized. Hell I want it milled out for a red dot but that's $600 at the very least. I feel like I'm going to end up putting a lot of money into this thing and keeping it until the day I die. It is absolutely my favorite gun. And I'd like the links to the sights because I've been having a hell of a time trying to buy sights for it.
Honest Outlaw Reviews Is there any way you can send me links to the irons you bought? I really like that set up. If you don't mind me copying you that is. Haha
I just got one of these recently and actually find the factory stippling pretty aggressive and certainly wouldn’t want to make it more so. I’m still getting used to the gun but not liking the way my index finder feels the rub on trigger pulls as the guard raises aggressively (making room for under grip) towards the back. The trigger definitely has some irritating mush right before going bang. I’m hoping with more use it will lessen. I bought the gun because a rental one had a trigger with zero mush and was great to shoot.
Just got my p07 stippled and the slide cerakoted gold and got some Dawson precision, fiber optic front, blacked out back sights put on it. (Unintentionally it matches the cz box perfectly) love it.
still waiting on that full review and 3k round review. Just ordered my P07 and want all the cz content i can get. Sick shadow 2 training vid you dropped today, too!
A free way to improve the trigger is to swap out the Decocker for the Safety. Slightly lighter pull, and much smoother pull. However, with the safety installed, I have to Decock Wild West style. P07 is safety or decocker not safety-decocker
Great video! But I completely disagree with you about night sights. Your advice of using a front night sight only works if the target is well illuminated or clearly silhouetted. This won't always be the case at night! To test this, go outside on a moonless night in an unlit area and let your eyes adjust to the darkness. Then try aiming at a nearly-invisible target 50 feet away with no lights. With no tritium sights, your aim will be WAY off because you can't see or find the gunsights. Trying the same thing with a single, front night sight is slightly better, but it is clumsy and takes a long time to find the front sight and align it with the nearly-invisible rear sights. However, having front and rear night sights allows you to properly aim at the target easily and quickly. Gun lights aren't always the best option for night shooting. They are bulky and harder to conceal. They require batteries or chargers that may not always be available. And gun lights give away your position.
Very exciting review and great points for practice draw exercises! However, I did not hear any mention of the holster you are using for your CZP07. Can't find any mention on your Amazon "prefer list" either. Please help!
I’ve learned a lot on your video on the Cz p07 thank you that’s the reason why I recently purchased one but magazines I cannot find. I was wondering what magazines would fit the Cz p 07 I know you said that. Cz p10 magazines would fit if you can give me any suggestions thank you, sir and thank you for your videos
Just saw this posted on a site for $389 I just ordered some new polymer handguns (xds, m&p compact, Canik elite, LCP II) but this thing looks extremely tempting to go ahead and get as well 😏
I’ve don’t basic work with my scorpion evo but just got the Cajun gun works package in w mcarbo polish kit, I’m gonna give it a shot. Have punch tools, roll pin punches, need to get a nice skinny pair of needle nose and some 1000 grit sand paper but hoping I can follow the CGW and mcarbo videos and get it done myself. I think I can lol, hardest part looks like installing the decocker back but we’ll see. I was gonna ask about the grey thanks for adding that in, great video for the P07. Also gonna add the shooks custom flat trigger, think they sale the CZC triggers but have them cerakoted
Are the triggers from CGW and CZ Customs safe for carry/duty? Bought the CZ P07 thanks to this video. I am ready to make some updates, but want to make sure…
Great videos from a great shooter! I have always been mostly a Glock 19 guy,, but also own a Sig Legion 229, as well as some other options for daily carry. I concur that the P O7 is an awesome little gun and I have installed the Night Fision sights and some CGW parts to improve trigger and to be able to dry fire. I only wish the take down was simpler, like a Glock, and that it would be great straight out of the box, as in Sig Legion, but it is still a great carry option for the price point! Love the P07 and Honest Outlaw vids!
Just found out this weekend that Academy has dropped CZ from their lineup, at least in central FL. It sucks because they were one of the very few places that would have any CZ in stock to get some hands on time. I didn't ask but they may still order it for you, not sure though.
Hey Johnny, this is the exact reason im watching this in 2022. I can get this pistil for around 450. And then sink 300-350 in CGW upgrades. Or just get the px4 compact carry...what did you do? I dont have any da/sa pistols....yet
I own both a PX4 and P-07. I don’t have any modifications on either of them. Bone stock, I pick the P-07 every time. The PX4 was my first pistol and I love it but the P-07 feels significantly better in my hands.
Very good video.... Considering this pistol. I was able to hold one and liked it except for the double action trigger pull. Need to go lift weights for that one! What is the double action trigger pull on the cajun trigger?
Can't decide what's a better CCW. A Cajun Gun Works P07 or P10C, a HK P30 with custom work done by Grey Guns or a Sphinx SDP. Want the highest quality, highest durability with reliability and accuracy. Not bothered by price just want the best!
Hey thanks for all the dope videos! Just curious I’m looking to switch my EDC from FN 509 Midize to either the CZ p07 or shield plus performance center 4in and if I go with the shield does the 3in have a lot more recoil than the 4in? Your thoughts please.
So will that front sight fit the p-10c? I was told the p-10c and p-07 have the same size front sight. But the rear is different. It's the same cut as the shadow rear.
Love the P07 but I wont carry it. Itd be better to me if the decocker didnt block the slide release so much that I'd have to break my grip to actuate it. I wear an extra large glove keep that in mind.
Thanks for all the information really enjoy all your content I just purchased a cz p07 and wanted to get the pro grade kit from cajun gun works but need your help what size roller bearing do I need to purchase with kit thanks sam
I'm looking into this as my first handgun I have shit others but want to buy the right one u have sold me on it. Just have to make sure they have a Cali legal variant
Honest Outlaw, you said you upgraded the mainspring and some other parts when you did the trigger pro kit. What other parts did you upgrade and where did you purchase? Thanks in advance.
So here we are years later. Would love a video on how this P07 is doing today and experience over the past years with it.
I concur
I agree, although I think it's living in the safe. I'm fairly sure his current EDC gun is a Glock 43X with an S15.

Great setup! In the process of doing this to my P09. Love that grey!
Thanks!
This is the most beatiful CZ P-07 that I have seen!!! I love that grey color. Congrats from Argentina!
Of all time is a bold statement
Loved the mitch hedberg joke
Recoil looks very manageable.
just bought one .... love it so far!
Just took one home today, for my new EDC. Man that gray you have there looks awesome. Good shit man.
My P07 is my only plastic gun and I love it.
By far the best channel on you tube
Going to pick mine up today, thanks for the video.
Opinions?
Very exciting review and great points for practice draw exercises! However, I did not hear any mention of the holster you are using for your CZP07. Can't find any mention on your Amazon "prefer list" either. Please help!
Love the color had no idea you could even DuraCoat it
It's really easy
Can confirm the blow dryer works wonders
Hey Chris, you still have 100% love for this weapons system...even in 2022? Does it remain one of your favorites?
Just put the CGW trigger in mine last week. I'm also really liking it. Now I can't figure out if I like it or the P-10 better.
lol I'm in the same boat
Sig P226 SRT is sweet!
CZ P07, fantastic firearm out of the box. Did you keep the plastic guide rod or got the stainless steel from CGW?
The new Walter PDP has the best factory texture grip of any weapon
Nice job. Which holster do you have that fits the set up? Thanks.
been searching for a race/competition holster for this unit but couldn't find one .. 😮
Hey you made it back, congrats!
Were the sights you used from CZ website for the CZ 75?
Would love to see a comparison between a Cajun p07 and the ltt px4. They have similar specs, but I am curious about the overall feel
Thanks for the great look, great job. What is your opinion about the comparison between cz p7 and p10 how much did you manage to improve? Thank you
Can't decide what's a better CCW. A Cajun Gun Works P07 or P10C, a HK P30 with custom work done by Grey Guns or a Sphinx SDP. Want the highest quality, highest durability with reliability and accuracy. Not bothered by price just want the best!
I am way late to the party here, but what are your thoughts on mounting the Outer Impact Red Dot Mounting plate top the P07?
Loving my P07 I picked up a few days ago. If only it had the grip texture of the M2.0!!!
Get Talon grips, I have them on my 07. You will like it.
If you scrub the hell out of the frame with alcohol swabs and then use a good blow dryer to heat it, I have had great luck with talon grips.
Question, do you carry that gun as your EDC?
I wish someone would do a full video installing the entire pro grade kit from Cajun .. I’m still on the fence if I want to send it in
It took me about an hour if that helps
Honest Outlaw Reviews did you watch a video to help you out or did you know enough about DA/SA pistols that you were just able to figure it out?
I knew most of it but Ashburn Armory has a great video on it if you need help
Honest Outlaw Reviews awesome thanks.. I have it on order.. hopefully I won’t have any issues with the install
Use this as a guide ua-cam.com/video/ChRsfL_xyHs/v-deo.html
About time , meaning what you have a life lol . Thanks great video , Really like my CZ 's
thanks lol me too
Thanks a lot for this video.
How reliable is this gun, any malfuntions ?
Hey thanks for all the dope videos! Just curious I’m looking to switch my EDC from FN 509 Midize to either the CZ p07 or shield plus performance center 4in and if I go with the shield does the 3in have a lot more recoil than the 4in? Your thoughts please.
So will that front sight fit the p-10c? I was told the p-10c and p-07 have the same size front sight. But the rear is different. It's the same cut as the shadow rear.
the front is the same, the rear is like a shadow 2 but smaller so
mines is in FDE Olive green! love it
Really nice gun. Love the grey
Hey HO, I just got me a P-07. I was wondering if you still CC this gun and if so what holster do you recommend?
Love the P07 but I wont carry it. Itd be better to me if the decocker didnt block the slide release so much that I'd have to break my grip to actuate it. I wear an extra large glove keep that in mind.
It’s meant to be dropped with support hand while driving back on target.
Great video! Looking for a conceal carry holster for this pistol any recommendations?
Good. Job I like the grey!!!!
Just bought this in FDE. The slide release kinda sucks, but great gun other than that.
You should do a review on the m*carbo trigger spring kit. Looks legit for $20
It's well worth the 20$ I have the MCARBO spring kit in my sp01 phantom, original 75 and rammi. Wouldn't shoot a cz without it anymore
Nice Mitch Hedberg reference
Honest Outlaw, you said you upgraded the mainspring and some other parts when you did the trigger pro kit. What other parts did you upgrade and where did you purchase? Thanks in advance.
