I bought a military canvas strap for mine recently. Loving mine. It really doesnt feel like 15,5mm as the top hat crystal takes 3mm of the height. Its a lovely retro effect
Classic remains classic. The 356.022 sapphire cover with a transparent case back is on my watch list. But 15.5mm thickness is the only obstacle that it still on the watch list.
@@jlg395 helpful observation. I never saw them in real life, but would you also say the sandwich version's top sapphire cover is less "protruded"? I get a feeling from seeing the pictures that the acrylic version's top is sooo curved, as if it is puffed out and ready to burst/pop anytime..
Thanks to the case design it doesnt even feel like 15,5mm (i got the acrylic version) . more like a 11mm with a top cat crystal . I was scared before ordering but i dont regret it one bit. Its a keeper
I don't know if this applies to this watch, but I've read not to adjust the day/date unless the hands are positioned at the bottom of the dial on chronograph watches.
There is also Sinn 358 which is 42mm and otherwise pretty much identical to this 356. Whether it is too similar to the Speedmaster is for you to decide.
I bloody love my 356.

The sapphire sandwich version is slightly thinner, at 14.8mm thick.

In my humble opinion the 15.5mm thickness gives it this 'burger chuck' feeling and it would go perfect with my 7inch wrist. 😆
If it was thinner i would 100% get the white dial version

If omly iit was 14mm thick.
I really like this watch, but 38mm seems a little small, plus I own a omega speedmaster, don't know weather they would cancel each other out
