I think a lot of people are missing the point here. They're quite young and to sound as good as they do is a really great accomplishment. Song structure is surprisingly good, and individual talents will only improve with more experience. Don't criticize them too much, because most bands don't sound this mature at their ages. And yes, the lead guitarist is crazy good.

The fact that the drummer is able to stare at the camera the entire time and still keep the beat and hit every note shows how talented he is.
I know music is subjective, but effort is not. It takes balls for these teens to be up there doing what they do. What so many of us can’t. You may not like their sound or talent but you can’t rip on their effort and love for what they do. Believe it or not music isn’t meant to be perfect, it’s about the emotion and having fun. Ask any music or voice teacher and they’ll tell you the same.

I think it's a decent effort, more so by the lead guitarist. She is amazing. They wouldn't be known without the kid from stranger things. So I would say her effort and his face make this band.

Bass player groves like a boss, drummer is humorous but also talented, guitar player freaking KILLS it, and the singer/guitar player is great too. I’d say as an entire band, they’re fantastic.

I love calpurnia and it's awesome to hear them say that they want their shows to be all ages so kids have more of a chance to see their favourite band. Saw them and Mac demarco at the royal mountain records festival this summer. Absolutely incredible. Can't wait to see them at the Phoenix!

Let's be honest, this was only arranged because of Finn's acting clout. They sound okay but not KEXP material.
Eh, I’d say they have potential. Maybe even strong potential. Keep in mind, they’re all kids right now and not to draw any similarities or compare them to The Beatles, but even The Beatles had to go through a “bubblegum, teenie bopper” pop phase before heading into a different, more mature direction.
This is gonna sound like a hater comment but it is the truth, they’re about as good as any other average high school band yet they’re taking up spots in big festivals like Lollapalooza and riot fest just off the kids clout.
If this band keeps at it, they will probably go pretty far, plus.. Im glad to see these kids rockin,, with real instruments, they could be doing something dumb.
They could be causing trouble and doing drugs, but they're not, they're just rocking, the way god intended!

The guitarist is phenomenal, but there are a million great guitarists. They wouldn't have the same sound of they weren't all working together, and that includes Finn- even if you don't like his voice.

Musician here. A lot of you people with your negative comments have no idea what youre talking about. These kids are awesome musicians. Finn is an awesome singer. And he's playing guitar at the same time. His notes are on too. Sometimes live singers can be a little sharp or flat, but that doesnt even mean its a "bad note". You don't have sing like Justin Timberlake to be a good singer. This is a rock band. No auto tune required.
What did you expect? we live in a culture of anonymous hate. So courageous putting down a band of kids who were just having fun
I definitely think these are some talented kids, but to say that Finn is a good singer because he's playing guitar while singing is pretty ridiculous. Also, you don't have to be a musician to have an opinion. When you state that you're a musician and then tell people that they don't know what they're talking about makes you sound like an asshole... People can criticize without them being right or wrong.
I think these guys are alright. Lead guitar and bassist are actually pretty good. Rhythm, vocals, and drumming aren't overly challenging so I don't think it's super impressive, but I think this band has a lot of potential.
