My daughter went to Montana State to learn to be a farrier. One of her side jobs was helping to take care of Illinois Governor Bruce Rauner's horses. Then she managed a ranch with 100 rescued race horses. Now I have farrier equipment in my garage and I finally understand how it works. Thanks!

You are the first Farrier I’ve seen on UA-cam that bothers to pat/pet the horse as you work. You seem to care about the animals themselves. Haven’t seen any other Farriers spend one second, connecting with the horse. Nice!

Those who don't then the horse don't know you and could be a little apprehensive to what the ferrier want. The horse always goes first and a slight cuddle with it first helps a really long way and especially to the next time because the horse will absolutely remember you as the good person then.

So where my horse is currently at I CANNOT get a ferrier out to trim. This video was SUPER helpful and now i know what points to look for in the trim so i dont over do it and I can diagnose any problems with their feet because all 3 are rescues from formerly abusive homes.

      @@someman7
No, brother I'm not a Catholic. If you would send me your email address I'll tell you why. What I tell you comes straight out of the Bible which was written by the twelve Apostles of Christ. The Holy Spirit Baptized the Apostles with cloves of fire above their heads and gave them the word of God, they preached and wrote down the word and it is where our bible came from. History says Christians were burned at the stake because the Romans didn't want the true word of God to be printed but it was printed just the same. The bible tells us what we must do to be saved. It also tells not to add thing to the word of God or leave any of it out. If we leave any of Gods word our he will leave us out of the Book Of Life. Rev.22/19 .Catholic's have added so many things to God word and also left out things they didn't like. Did you know the Pope is over every Catholic Church in the world and when he die's they just appoint another Pope. The true word of God tell us Jesus Christ is over all things concerning the Church which is his Body. Christ Church isn't a building, it is made up of Christians that have believed and obeyed God word and were Baptized into the Body of Christ. I doubt it you will find that verse in a Catholic Bible but you will find it in Ephes. 1/22-23 in the KJV Bible. I will send you some information concerning the true word of God if you want to read it. Does the numbers of members of the Catholic Church sound like a few people to you. The God said only 8 souls were saved when God destroyed the world by water and only a few will be saved this time when it is destroyed by fire. jamesmcqueen1933@gmail.com

@@jamesmcqueen6038 Hey, can you say what your biggest gripe is with the Church? You've brought up a lot of things, and I would like to address a lot of those but we'd have to do it one by one. So could we please focus on something you find most important first and see if what you were taught by Protestants about what the Bible and Catholics believe can really be confirmed or not? I mean you should hear the other side, right? I'll see if I can help you with that, as I've heard a lot of Protestant arguments, and read and came up with counter-arguments as well. Peace be with you
P.S. I do want to address one thing right now though. We have the same Bible, except the Protestant one is missing 7 books of the old testament that Luther delegated to "apocrypha"[sic] in the 16th century, and then others took it out as uninspired despite it being used by the Church and mentioned as a part of the Bible in a non-authoritative 4th century council. So of course we have and believe that Jesus' is the head of the Church and we do understand it to be His mystical body. We just believe that the Christ gave the "some apostles, and some prophets, and other some evangelists, and other some pastors and doctors. For the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ" as 4:11-12 of the same Epistle says.

The 7 books your talking about were written under the old laws, we don't live under the old laws anymore. if we did we would have to kill animals to have our sins removed, we would have to stone people to death for working on the Sabbath day. God sent us a New laws to live under and obey. He send it by his Son Jesus that came to earth and Gods word became flash. When Christ was nailed to the cross the old laws were done away with. We now are told to worship on the first day of the week, to come to gather on the first day of the week and break bread to remember Christ died for our sins so we want have to kill animals to have our sins removed . No where in the New Testament are we told to kill our animals to have our sins removed. We are told to be Baptized for the remission of our sins and we will receive the Holy Ghost from God as a comforter that will live inside us to remind-us of the things Christ said. We are also added to the Body of Christ when we are baptized into his Body. We can't get to God unless we go through Jesus Christ first. God put his Son over all things concerning the Church which is this Body. Ephes 1/22-23. Jesus is not over the Catholic Churches the Pope is and he is a earth man just like me with no more power than I have to save anyone. When he dies they just appoint another Pope. Jesus Christ has died once and lives again and is over the one and only Church which is his Body, it is not a building. People Call the Church of Christ a cult because it follows and obeys the true word of God, God tells us to be baptized so we are baptized, he tells us to break bread upon the first day of the week and we do that also, We don't use musical instruments, we sing making melody in our heart just like the bible says. No where in the new Testament are we told to use music instruments. We go to Church to hear the word of God not for entertainment. We don't add things to the word of God and we don't leave any of his word out. Rev. 22/19 says if we leave any of his word out he will leave us out of the Book of life. Ephes. 4/5-6 there is only one Body, one faith , one Baptism not two or three. I don't expect you to agree with me because you were raised a Catholic from a baby. I Understand Catholics sign a paper that they will raise their children Catholics. There's not anything in the KJV bibles that tell us to do that. Also all the smoke they put over things and speak in Latin happens to be things the Catholic's churches have added. God didn't tell us to do those things ether. NO harm done Brother I love you as a brother and will pray for the both of us. God Bless You. Drop me an email sometimes jamesmcqueen1933@gmail.com

The xrays were so informative, loved that. I loved that you have a gentle way with lifting a horses hooves. As a good owner I cleaned my horses hooves everyday, ever watchful of their health, even being as young as I was. This was so informative for me. Just have to see more! Thanks so much and Happy Holidays to you and yours. 😎

I would go every chance I got ( wich was alot) and watch the farrier shoe horses and the trainers tack and ride then wash and walk horses all day .. as I got older 13 ,14 I started riding the horses and lead them to the walker and help feed.. it was a great time in my life... im 55 now..I miss those days..

When I saw the way you were considerate and set the horses foot down, not just dropping it, I nearly cried. You just seem to be a good person! Thank you for not making me cringe while watching! this horse got the shoe job deal with all the works..no skimping on the detailing. good job! My grandad used to do his own horseshoeing. i always had to watch from behind the stall wall. when i was young didn't understand why. one day i watched him shoeing the back hoof of one horse and learned real fast how dangerous a horse's kick can be. Grandad went to the hospital with a broken nose. what was most curious later was seeing their bond was just as strong as before the kick. Grandad was mature enough to admit he effed up by not paying attention to the horse's mood with that same hoof being a bad one. he admitted he should have had a farrier do this specific shoe but the local was out of town and this horse needed immediate attention. Grandad finished the shoeing before he saw a doctor himself a day later. work animals before yourself eh. the humorous part of this was watching the horse stand there swishing its tail and eating oats like nothing had happened as Grandad finished shoeing the horse knowing the kick was his fault and chuckling to himself.

excellent work... never knew the care it takes for horses. As a kid I watched a vet insert his entire arm in a horses rectum, I was stunned. The only thing that horse did was nudge forward ! That was another moment of being stunned. Guess it was under a bit.

Beautiful work. Such a nice job. I luv using cross ties for putting shoes on a horse. It just seems to make a better set up.

It’s so clear to see that you love what you do and you love the horse. Petting and speaking to the horse, beautiful. New subscriber 🙏❤️
