Always good knowing how to fix those GMC vehicles. I had 2007 SWB NBS Big V8 Silverado single cab. Miss that rocket on wheels. Never had any issues other than brakes and batteries.
Thanks for the video. I had just changed out the plastic bushing but it would fall off after a day or so. Just needed the screwdriver to put bushing to sit into the groove.
Happened to my 09 3500, pretty cheap bushing but those things are a pain to press in lol before my temporary fix was a shit load of zip ties until I made it back home
I did figure out that if you install the c-clip in the slots before pushing the lower cable into place it works a hell of a lot easier, the cone on lower cable just snaps in place. I broke two clips before I figured that out!
My dad had same issue on 2003 Merced -Benz his car wouldn’t go to park $12 green bushing fix issue BTY dealer was asking $200 to replace or just push in new bushing 2 minute job $200 🤣🤣🤣
You only showed the easy part, show removing and installing the locking piece when connecting both cables, also show if you had to squeeze the locking piece
Sorry for the loss of audio at 0:49 through 1:00 not too sure what happened there.

Me and my pocket screwdriver can do anything 😂 Thanks for the video kid. Well done 👏
Refreshed my feed and this popped up first time to watch it!
You the best!

Just happened to me at costco, zip tie till i got home..😅
Great job, thanks a lot for doing the video, it helps a lot! 👊
I see you skipped the tightest part which is disconnecting the connecting piece
How did you get the cable to stay when you put it on
Umm how do u disconnect it? U show everything but the most important part
What about the absolute hardest part of the job, replacing the cable c-clip?
I’m sorry

Can you show how to install that little c-clip back on?
Put the c clip in 1st then push the needle rod in gently until it clicks in. Then adjust as needed.
Broke the copper/brass c clip thing anyone know where I can get it asap?
Maybe ebay but I feel like you would have to buy a whole cable again. Or go to a junkyard
Amazon. They have those and the retainer clip at the trans.
Does this work for 2011 chevy cruze LT ?
Nice working at a Chevy dealer I’m dying to reprogram that tpms thoughhh
Nice work... Kinda wonder what you charged your neighbor? Whatever it was, it was a fraction of the dealer cost and associated hassle.
I typically charge half the cost of the dealership rate.
I wonder how GM techs feel about their jobs fixing shitboxes all day 😂
Awesome job Nick. Since when do you work on anything except Toyota though?
I prefer not to but it was a side job.
@@LetsDriftMedia 😅 Toyota #1
@@alexb8926 hell yeah
So replaced the entire shift cable when you can simply replace the rubber grommet alone for 10$ or even fix it permanently withe a screw and a nut!!
Damnit, I needed from the shifter to the floor board. Also gm said once you disconnect them, you must replace both. Or risk safety hazards
interesting thanks for the info. I did not know that.
Great stuff.

$12 green bushing fix issue
BTY dealer was asking $200 to replace or just push in new bushing 2 minute job $200 🤣🤣🤣
Yea not surprised, customer got his cable at oreillys so I'm sure it wasn't expensive at all.
Thank you
I am a Chevy guy and that still kinda sucks to be honest I hate adjusting them lol
Good Job 😀
Those are called uncircumcised connectors 🤣
Holy Shit! Where is all the rust? Even the brake lines look like new!haha I'm in Chicagoland, rust capital!
Lucky to live in CA

Brittle piece/ bushing is replaceable.
You could've just replaced the bushing
Yoooooo! Yooo! Yoo!
YOOOOOOOOOO RAAAMONNNNNNN
Paid $350 at goodyear for repair
Fuuuuuuck!
Good Job 👌👍
