Thanks for the grit guard link. I love finding things that work well.
I know humor is not the usual place your content comes from - and I appreciate your informative, fact based delivery. This may be the only vid of yours that I’ve watched that was meant to be humorous. Not that it’s any less factual or experience based - but you really made this entertaining. I think I’m going to upgrade my OG Buckets with 4” casters! Thanks for the links in the video description and thanks for the very fun and funny video.
Thanks for sharing this video, Jeff. I appreciate you sharing the different styles and benefits of each. I did want to add that the Adam's bucket lid has rubber feet, which were designed to also be used as a kneeling pad. Also, the drain plug can be changed; they sell spare parts for it. Adam's bucket can be purchased for as low as $112 when it's on sale for 25% off. I have the pair, and I love them.
Thanks for the addition! I got mine on sale as you know, i think it was around 130$ shipped.
lol good stuff. Thanks for the video and light comedy 😂
Great video . I'm going through the same deal with my bucket situation. I bought the OG complete bucket package, great system but I find them a little too tall. I got the Oberk bucket package with 3 black wheel dollys that look really cool ,at 5 gallons they are perfect. I ended up just Alternating each system. Talk about First World problems 😂😂
Thanks for letting me know about Oberk bucket packet, I have been looking at the OG package for so long but always think they are a bit too expensive. Gotta think on it more since I tend to run out of water on my contact wash with the 5 gallon bucket.
@@neovisual633 Good Luck , let me know what you get
@@neovisual633you run out of water using a 5gal bucket? Washing a large truck or RV?
@@YuriTarded-hf1nv just a SUV, but somehow i ended up with ver little water at the end 😅
I have the OG package but I like the idea of upgrading to the 4” casters.
I can’t wait for the Harbor Freight version.
Thinking about upgrading to the 4 inch casters. Think they hold up bring used outside on street?
yea, they are pretty similar to the casters used on like a brute trash can, I think they will hold up well.
Thank You !!!!!!!
Good video
I think one of the biggest expenses for the og buckets is probably the gamma seal lids which most of us probably won’t need or use. Btw what were the negatives for the chemical guys bucket?
Good perspective on the gamma seal, since there is no discount purchasing the "package" you can get them without the seal and save the money.
They are only 3 gallons, the casters are too small, the lid doesn't seal in any way.
Do they work? sure, i used them for years.
Are they a good value? I dont think so.
does anyone use the Shurhold buckets? I tend to like those because of the handle itself.
these are really interesting, thanks for mentioning them. I really like the rope handles as well.
For me the shipping is what kills me from purchasing from OG. I personally want to upgrade my Adam's bucket with the Ghost bucket from The Detail Division
I get free shipping from ITH, sorry i didnt take shipping into account.. Im sure it could add up over time.
@@improvedgarage No worries, it is like $70 just for small items. I truly hope he opens a store in Canada like he was talking about. Carzilla is great however
@@Spirited282 hes doing distribution through mantis tools in canada soon. :)
@@improvedgarage Awesome, glad to hear. Thanks for the heads up :)
Did you hit the Powerball last week? 🤔👍😎🇺🇸
i wish, i would have bought alot more than buckets
Utterly ridiculous. Expensive. Completely unnecessary. All things I think about the YETI setup. Also, the very reasons I'm going that route. I might just get the Grit Guard dolly set, but those 4" casters do look appealing.
Why would you need a bucket for a seat when you have a viper chair
Tell me you didn't watch the whole video :)
ua-cam.com/video/nn-vfXLgQgQ/v-deo.htmlsi=JfHHc7d6V0BC4cT7&t=1222
"the vyper chair is a way better chair"
I gave 2 reasons
1. maybe you dont have a vyper chair
2. someone else is in your garage and sits on your vyper chair.
You shouldn't be able to call yourself a detail company when your bucket is 3 gallons.
Adam's tried to be unique and missed the mark.
Why? Something wrong with them?
@YuriTarded-hf1nv with their grit guard and a full size wash mit, there is very little room for the right ratio of water and sudes.
Yea i agree with this. If the Adams accessory holder and tool tray were better thought out, they could be something different and would appeal to more people i think. The bucket itself isnt bad, i actually like the lid, the accessories just feel like afterthoughts.
Bruu, how do you afford all these things?
I have a job working in IT.
My poverty / food stamp version of wash buckets, somehow manage to wash my vehicles, just like the high dollar versions in this video, and miracle of all miracles, I haven't been thrown out of the neighborhood yet !!! My buckets are $2.00 apiece. Heavy, red plastic,, 5 gallon pickle buckets, from the local submarine sandwich chain. My two bucket trolley is two free, used milk crates zip tied together, with Harbor Freight casters, bolted to the bottom. Plenty of storage in the space around the buckets (think "round peg in a square hole"). I even added a handle to steer it around with, so I don't have to bend over to maneuver them, like Matt Moreland does, with his Obsessed buckets. I think that the only things purchased new, were the grit guards, and the casters. I'm far from poor, but I'm not going to waste money, on stuff like this, because someone on UA-cam tells me how pretty it is. A more useful video would be showing people how to do things, in a more clever and less costly way. Your video is nicely produced, and your garage is wonderfully organized. I'm subscribed, and have been watching for a while.
I appreciate you subscribing and watching. My parents owned a restaurant and we also had a stack of pickle buckets in the garage for years.. I can smell them now :). I mentioned in the beginning that you can be totally effective with a homer bucket, i was for years.
I think it’s great that you came up with something that works for you and saved you money. I spent years with plywood shelves (heck I still have one), built my own ro water system, used harbor freight lights for a while, my workbench is made of HF toolboxes, and i just did a video on a pretty inexpensive polisher, so i try and cover that stuff when I can. Ill keep your feedback in mind and maybe in the future i can show what one could build as an alternative option.
@@improvedgarage I watch you, Keav, Matt Josh V, and a few others. I appreciate all of you for your research, but I like Keav's practical approach to finding solutions to needs, better than most. Keep 'em coming !!! I'm gonna keep watching !!!!
@@stevenb.182 thank you again for your kind words.
Buckets are under $6 my guy 😂
yep, and if you watched the whole video you would have heard me say you can totally use a homer bucket to wash a car effectively.
@@improvedgarage oh I know that you said it was silly which I agree, I think if a $300 bucket makes someone happy I’m kinda jealous I’d rather get some coke n hookers
Like anyone else watching this video, we all have the same struggle. I won’t be buying Overpriced Garage’s $300 bucket. Possibly an Adams dual bucket system.
I’m sorry but I’m confused by your comment..
You do know that the Adams buckets are more money than the OG ones right?
The Adams double bucket is 280 and the OG double bucket is 225..
Maybe you’d prefer the seat or tool tray or drain or some other features of the Adams bucket that make it different than the competition, but I don’t understand how it’s less expensive.
