I’m not really sure why, but that hotel sort of gives off hospital vibes, like if it weren’t for the obvious Pixar items and details placed around, it would feel like a children’s hospital in a big city.
This was a really good review of the Pixar Hotel! I loved all the details you guys pointed out, the views you showed, the food, the merch and the attractions. Also, nice editing Kitra! 👍🏾
Kitra you nailed it: they NAILED this place, but admittedly the bar was pretty low. We stayed here once at Paradise Pier during the renovation and it was the closest I’ve come to demanding my money back for such a poor hotel: it was awful for any hotel, but SO bad for a Disney property. Glad to see they really paid attention and did a good job.
Thanks for pointing out the Moe card in the room! He’s one of my favorite characters and it’s so rare to see him anywhere. I’m a big fan of Goofy’s Kitchen at the Disneyland Hotel, I wish this hotel also had Pixar character dining. That they have Bing Bong meet and greets is exciting :-)
My daughter and I are doing out first Disneyland trip this June and decided to book at Pixar Place! We're doing a coast-to-coast trip so starting at Coronado Springs Club level at WDW then hopping a plane over to Disneyland. Excited for our first trip and for the Pixar Fest!!
10:17 looks to be who ever painted that painted a new coat over the old, problem with that is by not sanding the previous layer there isn’t much of a bond for the paint to attach to. So what happens is the humidity will make the newest layer detach quickly and is likely what happened here.
This was a surprisingly calming video. Appreciate the honest perspectives on culinary options, and the Joe performance was well worth it. Not sure if this is worth $500 per night, but the special entrance piqued my interest.
They said it on their last live. It’s merch for someone but I can’t remember who. She says it a few times because a lot of people were asking. You can go back through and find it. But they also might answer you too, they’re really good and replying to comments.
I don’t know why I cried through all the details of the hotel, but this is like full circle for me. My dad loved Pixar and dreamed of working there. I have to visit when we come in October. Thank you for this beautiful RIO I love all the little clips that you guys put in your videos.
Good grief, I hadn't realized that the resort hotel prices had gotten that high! Yikes! They seem to have done a good job with most of the details, but it seems like some things could use a little tweaking, especially the food. The secret entrance is pretty cool though! Thanks for sharing with us!
I think the highest Disney resort prices have al says reached this height the problem is this is now the cheapest Disney resort in Disneyland and that’s insane.
We stayed at the Grand California in Jan & saw them put the finishing touches on this hotel. It looks like they did a fabulous job. Have fun on ur trip & Happy Birthday! 🎉
Would love to have a meet and greet with Rex or Trixie. Can see why they don’t have times for Joe’s playtime. Small area and if people knew the times. Can see that getting crowded.
Great video! It looks wonderful! We stayed there during construction and there was no restaurant, just a place with very limited grab and go. One morning we looked out our window and there was bucket crane with two guys in it! Loved the special entrance except for the part that you couldn’t leave that way.
I just got to explore the lobby over the weekend and I was so happy I was able to enjoy the lobby and I don't think I would have fully noticed the couch without Kendra's hint. Its so peaceful in there!
I think this is so well done, for just a retheme of a hotel that had already been rethemed. I know there's people out there that like to complain Disney hotels are becoming less "Disney," but I'm not sure how you couldn't like this. Its "modern" Disney and I'm all about that.
I haven’t finished the video yet but this place looks so amazing now! We stayed at the Pier many many times because we lived the service and the price was always better than the other two on site hotels. I’m so excited to stay here again and enjoy all the new touches.
6:42…Fun Fact-all of the characters in WALL-E (Which is my all-time Favorite Pixar movie!!) have names that are actually Acronyms (for example, “WALL-E “ is for “Waste Allocation Load Lifter: Earth class”)…and “MO”’s name is a BIT intimidating, actually…His name means “Molecular Obliterator”!
Love seeing this in depth & so much details! I’m assuming that you had to buy park ticeket still right? Ps I have never seen that sweater before kitra! Is it a nod to obi wan & anakin as well as in and out fast food chain?
We have Disneyland magic keys so yes the tickets into the park are not included unfortunately. The sweater is made by our friend Carly King and yes it’s a combo of both!
You guys have to Come to Charleston South Carolina to see and stay at some of the best themed hotels and vacation rentals w/ beautiful theming and all unique designs
Hi, Kitra and Peter! I don't usually comment on UA-cam but I just had to thank you guys for putting out such enjoyable and positive content. Life has been a lot this week and your videos have really helped find joy when I needed it. You guys are adorable and remind me so much of my boyfriend and me. Please keep adventuring and sharing with all of us.
My you should be returned the bacon maple donuts and complain to get something else. I am sorry it was disappointing that you looking forward to try. At first it sounded yummy.
I'd have been constantly crying happy tears in that hotel! Absolutely superb! Loved the characters and the private entrance is just *chefs kiss* I listened to the album on Amazon Music last night. Remember Me is my favourite but that's just my Coco bias showing!
They did such a great job with the theming for this hotel! My favorite Pixar movie is either Cars or Finding Nemo. Lot's of memories for me as a kid seeing those films in theaters with my dad.
Oh, guys, the batter with sausage things are old, actually. Back to medieval times. They're called sausage biscuits, toad-in-the-hole, pigs in blankets, etc. Corn dogs are relatively new, because the sausage things predate corn in the old world. And I love them. Helpful analysis on the restaurant! And the Soul guy can't play the piano as a cat. But I also thought that while you had a lovely time (and are both so cute together), more and more, the great experiences at Disneyland are out of financial range of people now-a-days. I started thinking that way during the run-up to the Galactic Starcruiser. Would people in equivalent economic circumstances as my parents, with four kids, in the 60's, be able to take their children to a Disney park two or three times a year, as my family did? Would they even be able to do that once/year? Anyway, very good review and an interesting place! Love your comments.
It’s too adorable. I’m dying to get out there, but it’s sold out for most dates and they’ve jacked up the price of it, naturally. Favorite Pixar movie is the OG, Toy Story, followed by Monsters Inc, and Finding Nemo.
All I could think was 200$ was the price for empire supper club and it was a better value😂. Loved seeing this early. ❤Maybe the donuts would be better on a second chance. Oh. Favorite Pixar is a bugs life... Classic
I fell in love with this hotel when we were there visiting a few weeks ago. So cute and has great vibes! I am a huge Pixar fan, so this is def on my list of places to stay when I can afford to do so lol
In regards to the Avocado toast I just recently started eating it alot since Dunkin Donuts started selling it. When you make it at home they sell everything bagel seasoning at our stores mix a little in and taste just as good!
This looks like a lovely reno. It’s very tasteful and well done. Considering the concierge room at the Contemporary literally just has a framed poster of Edna Mode and that’s basically it for Incredibles theming, this hotel has smartly incorporated Pixar IP into so many aspects of the property (the fire pits themed as fire characters?! Brilliant!) I would be totally into staying at this hotel!

Currently the Pixar film I watch most is Onward! I actually love this movie. The first time I wasn’t so sure, but now I’m obsessed. I watch it when I need some comfort. Also I love this video! Hotel stays are the bestest.
Favourite Pixar movie (so far) is Luca! That film just speaks to me and would have loved if that movie was around during my coming-of-age. Also pretty sure everyone of those in the pool are Canadian. Your winters are still balmy and tropical in comparison to our current temperatures. Also Big Hero Six isn't Pixar so technically San Fransokyo isn't part of the Pixar "takeover" of DCA.
Monsters University is probably my favorite. Also the Art of Marvel Hotel in DLP has a soundtrack that’s awesome and it’s been on repeat since I stayed in September!!
I love this new look! My last time I went was when it was the paradise pier. It was cute but THIS IS ANOTHER LEVEL. I love the mid century style. Simple yet elegant! Little touches everywhere but simplistic at the same time! I’m obsessed. ❤
@@OrdinaryAdventures I never tend to like the over priced foods. I think they should’ve had another pixar lounge location. Since what I’ve seen and heard the food looks so much better! The idea was already there!
We love watching you guys! You aren't fake and are true to yourselves. Not sure if i like the changes (but that's my opinion). I was glad to see that they kept the 13th floor.
This hotel looks so nice I hope you had a good time. Oh also Jimmy Dean has been selling pancakes with sausages since 2006. Lol I know it won't be as good as the restaurant but if you should want some more.
Hi 👋🏼 so glad to have met you at Disneyland! Love watching your videos! Peter!! 😱 the B roll on this video is 🙌🏻 amazing!! Had me in the feels you guys are the best!
San Fransokyo is from big hero 6, which is definitely not a Pixar film. It was originally a marvel book though, so it could be said that marvel has taken over more of the park than Pixar at this point. I miss bugs land. Now I have a toddler so I actually would’ve had a reason to be there 😝
@@OrdinaryAdventures Pobody’s Nerfect! Also will definitely be staying at the Pixar hotel when I visit next time! Looks so cute and the pancake pops made my mouth water! Your content is invaluable for my future trip planning!

Great job! So many reviews don’t cover things like the day beds, the fire pits (amazing) the floor tiles! We are headed there in fall… and so excited! Thank you! Wish someone would cover the concierge and if it’s worth it
Wow all the details in the hotel are great! Also, what is the name of the song that starts playing at 39:09? It’s a good jam! Thanks as always Kitra and Peter!
So happy you did this! This hotel holds a very special place in my heart when it was the paradise pier. We stayed there when I took my boys to Disneyland for the first time in the early 2000. Seeing it renewed, with the theming of Pixar makes me really happy. My youngest fav pixar movie and mine too has always been finding nemo. Him and I when he was very very young would watch it once a week, and my oldest was Toy storey, watched that once a week too. But holy moley 200 for that meal? even for Disney that seems a little much. Peter as always your camera work especially filming that AMAZING treat of the piano player was brilliant. Kitra you looking for forkey, too funny my dear. Thank you again.
Love what they’ve done to the hotel. BTW a lot of people agree that the restaurant is overpriced. Kitra get some everything bagel to put on your avocado toast. It’s a game changer.
Wow thanks for the vid guys... I will be in that hotel next week... Very helpful to know what to do and where to eat...not going to maple place with 5 kids😂. Congrats
I clicked immediately because of Bing Bong! My 2 year old loves him and we have watched Inside Out more than once lol. It’s the only movie she will sit through, we even got her a plush Bing Bong! And yes the movie and Bing Bong have been growing on me as well. Thank you for showing this place it’s definitely on our bucket list now as to where to take my daughter 💜🙂
Bing Bong, and the art was definitely the stars ⭐️ of the hotel. The prices for some of the food and quality…shocker, but expected 😮. A total missed opportunity on the outside design of the hotel for sure. Loved this vid 👏.
I love all your videos, but this was really a good one. Great for people who don’t get to come to Disneyland very often you took him on a little adventure I actually really really like this one a lot. Thank you so much all your videos are great, but this was just really nice, I’ve been to the hotel that stayed there. I stay at the Anaheim Marriott but I actually give it a big thumbs up. They did a great job.
Great video! Love the attention to detail! Unfortunately my knowledge of Pixar begins and ends with the first two Toy Story movies and A Bug's Life. Also, I'm surprised you two have never had pancakes and sausage on a stick. I feel like those have been around forever. I used to eat them in elementary school! ☺️
You might not know but I am actually a connoisseur of ordinary adventures!

literally same here! every time I order a long island or mai tai I think of peter and his sexy green glasses...
Me too! I love how they explain how they are connoisseur of pixer and Disneyland!

@@OrdinaryAdventures I agree 100% it’s my favorite Pixar movie Joe from Soul . He has raw talent.

I’m not really sure why, but that hotel sort of gives off hospital vibes, like if it weren’t for the obvious Pixar items and details placed around, it would feel like a children’s hospital in a big city.

This is definitely true! I was so excited to be able to capture it as we usually aren’t at the park when it’s raining

We are far away from home right now so can’t look it up but try Shazamming it and it should come up
Found it! It’s by ELFL 😊 Safe Travels to you both!
The fireplaces are my favourite! So smart! 🤯
👍
Hey hey the movie soul was so good one of my favs, was awesome to hear him play the piano, wow cars land after the rain looked so awesome
👍
This is the best Disney hotel remodel. The gold standard!
👍
Thanks so much
Love what they’ve done to the hotel. BTW a lot of people agree that the restaurant is overpriced. Kitra get some everything bagel to put on your avocado toast. It’s a game changer.
👍 good tip
Wow thanks for the vid guys...
I will be in that hotel next week... Very helpful to know what to do and where to eat...not going to maple place with 5 kids😂. Congrats
Have fun
Thanks....it was fun...vid helped a lot.
Such gorgeous night photography, the puddle work alone is 👌🏻
Thank you ☺️
Hearing Joe play gave me goosebumps! That was cool.
He was sooo good
Whoa, the hotel looks so good! My favorite Pixar movie is hands down Toy Story 3~ and those pancake pops look so gooooddd~ 🤤
They were great!
I hope your daughter gets to meet bing bong someday!
Bing Bong, and the art was definitely the stars ⭐️ of the hotel. The prices for some of the food and quality…shocker, but expected 😮. A total missed opportunity on the outside design of the hotel for sure. Loved this vid 👏.
I wish Disney didn’t hire an outside chain to do the restaurant
London fogs are my favorite, but I'm an earl grey connoisseur lol like the captain. Tea, earl grey, hot!
👍
I love all your videos, but this was really a good one. Great for people who don’t get to come to Disneyland very often you took him on a little adventure I actually really really like this one a lot. Thank you so much all your videos are great, but this was just really nice, I’ve been to the hotel that stayed there. I stay at the Anaheim Marriott but I actually give it a big thumbs up. They did a great job.
Glad you enjoyed it! ☺️
What????? Ya gotta watch more Pixar!!!!
