This was a really good review of the Pixar Hotel! I loved all the details you guys pointed out, the views you showed, the food, the merch and the attractions. Also, nice editing Kitra! 👍🏾
I’m not really sure why, but that hotel sort of gives off hospital vibes, like if it weren’t for the obvious Pixar items and details placed around, it would feel like a children’s hospital in a big city.
Kitra you nailed it: they NAILED this place, but admittedly the bar was pretty low. We stayed here once at Paradise Pier during the renovation and it was the closest I’ve come to demanding my money back for such a poor hotel: it was awful for any hotel, but SO bad for a Disney property. Glad to see they really paid attention and did a good job.
Thanks for pointing out the Moe card in the room! He’s one of my favorite characters and it’s so rare to see him anywhere. I’m a big fan of Goofy’s Kitchen at the Disneyland Hotel, I wish this hotel also had Pixar character dining. That they have Bing Bong meet and greets is exciting :-)
This was a surprisingly calming video. Appreciate the honest perspectives on culinary options, and the Joe performance was well worth it. Not sure if this is worth $500 per night, but the special entrance piqued my interest.
I just got to explore the lobby over the weekend and I was so happy I was able to enjoy the lobby and I don't think I would have fully noticed the couch without Kendra's hint. Its so peaceful in there!
I haven’t finished the video yet but this place looks so amazing now! We stayed at the Pier many many times because we lived the service and the price was always better than the other two on site hotels. I’m so excited to stay here again and enjoy all the new touches.
We stayed at the Grand California in Jan & saw them put the finishing touches on this hotel. It looks like they did a fabulous job. Have fun on ur trip & Happy Birthday! 🎉
I don’t know why I cried through all the details of the hotel, but this is like full circle for me. My dad loved Pixar and dreamed of working there. I have to visit when we come in October. Thank you for this beautiful RIO I love all the little clips that you guys put in your videos.
I think this is so well done, for just a retheme of a hotel that had already been rethemed. I know there's people out there that like to complain Disney hotels are becoming less "Disney," but I'm not sure how you couldn't like this. Its "modern" Disney and I'm all about that.
My daughter and I are doing out first Disneyland trip this June and decided to book at Pixar Place! We're doing a coast-to-coast trip so starting at Coronado Springs Club level at WDW then hopping a plane over to Disneyland. Excited for our first trip and for the Pixar Fest!!
My you should be returned the bacon maple donuts and complain to get something else. I am sorry it was disappointing that you looking forward to try. At first it sounded yummy.
All I could think was 200$ was the price for empire supper club and it was a better value😂. Loved seeing this early. ❤Maybe the donuts would be better on a second chance. Oh. Favorite Pixar is a bugs life... Classic
I'd have been constantly crying happy tears in that hotel! Absolutely superb! Loved the characters and the private entrance is just *chefs kiss* I listened to the album on Amazon Music last night. Remember Me is my favourite but that's just my Coco bias showing!
Currently the Pixar film I watch most is Onward! I actually love this movie. The first time I wasn’t so sure, but now I’m obsessed. I watch it when I need some comfort. Also I love this video! Hotel stays are the bestest.
Good grief, I hadn't realized that the resort hotel prices had gotten that high! Yikes! They seem to have done a good job with most of the details, but it seems like some things could use a little tweaking, especially the food. The secret entrance is pretty cool though! Thanks for sharing with us!
I think the highest Disney resort prices have al says reached this height the problem is this is now the cheapest Disney resort in Disneyland and that’s insane.
They did such a great job with the theming for this hotel! My favorite Pixar movie is either Cars or Finding Nemo. Lot's of memories for me as a kid seeing those films in theaters with my dad.
It’s too adorable. I’m dying to get out there, but it’s sold out for most dates and they’ve jacked up the price of it, naturally. Favorite Pixar movie is the OG, Toy Story, followed by Monsters Inc, and Finding Nemo.
I love this new look! My last time I went was when it was the paradise pier. It was cute but THIS IS ANOTHER LEVEL. I love the mid century style. Simple yet elegant! Little touches everywhere but simplistic at the same time! I’m obsessed. ❤
@@OrdinaryAdventures I never tend to like the over priced foods. I think they should’ve had another pixar lounge location. Since what I’ve seen and heard the food looks so much better! The idea was already there!
Hi, Kitra and Peter! I don't usually comment on UA-cam but I just had to thank you guys for putting out such enjoyable and positive content. Life has been a lot this week and your videos have really helped find joy when I needed it. You guys are adorable and remind me so much of my boyfriend and me. Please keep adventuring and sharing with all of us.
Great video! It looks wonderful! We stayed there during construction and there was no restaurant, just a place with very limited grab and go. One morning we looked out our window and there was bucket crane with two guys in it! Loved the special entrance except for the part that you couldn’t leave that way.
I clicked immediately because of Bing Bong! My 2 year old loves him and we have watched Inside Out more than once lol. It’s the only movie she will sit through, we even got her a plush Bing Bong! And yes the movie and Bing Bong have been growing on me as well. Thank you for showing this place it’s definitely on our bucket list now as to where to take my daughter 💜🙂
I fell in love with this hotel when we were there visiting a few weeks ago. So cute and has great vibes! I am a huge Pixar fan, so this is def on my list of places to stay when I can afford to do so lol
Oh, guys, the batter with sausage things are old, actually. Back to medieval times. They're called sausage biscuits, toad-in-the-hole, pigs in blankets, etc. Corn dogs are relatively new, because the sausage things predate corn in the old world. And I love them. Helpful analysis on the restaurant! And the Soul guy can't play the piano as a cat. But I also thought that while you had a lovely time (and are both so cute together), more and more, the great experiences at Disneyland are out of financial range of people now-a-days. I started thinking that way during the run-up to the Galactic Starcruiser. Would people in equivalent economic circumstances as my parents, with four kids, in the 60's, be able to take their children to a Disney park two or three times a year, as my family did? Would they even be able to do that once/year? Anyway, very good review and an interesting place! Love your comments.
Would love to have a meet and greet with Rex or Trixie. Can see why they don’t have times for Joe’s playtime. Small area and if people knew the times. Can see that getting crowded.

“UP” is my favorite Pixar Movie
They need to market the gentlemen who plays piano as Joe from Soul. He’s amazing.
💯
@@OrdinaryAdventures I agree 100% it’s my favorite Pixar movie Joe from Soul . He has raw talent.
So is this his hotel California…
I'm so happy they leaned back into themed hotels again. That's the reason we go to Disney branded hotels.

Really cool hotel! Love Coco. The final scene with Miguel and Mama Coco makes me cry every time. Also love Luca and Soul- both deserved more love.
👍
cars land at night is like a film photographers dream! all those neon lights in the rain puddles lol sick!
This is definitely true! I was so excited to be able to capture it as we usually aren’t at the park when it’s raining
The after dark reflections on the wet pavement and the fountains were so beautiful. Loved little Peter and his mom 🥰
