Y’all finally made it to TDR! I’m so happy for y’all. And you got to stay at Miracosta. That hotel was my first TD hotel ever. The beds though…I also found them to be a bit on the hard side. I prefer the TDL Hotel and rooms myself. You can’t beat the location

Because of moments like you had in front of the window looking out at TDL❤ Travel is so life changing, it changes your heart and mind ❤

Fun fact, did you know that almost all Japan train stations have their own song when a train arrives/departs? And the Maihama stn next to Disneyland has Disney music for their station song! Loved this video! I'm glad you picked up on the souvenir culture in Japan. Everyone always buys souvenirs for family, friends and co-workers which is why you see all those tins with separately wrapped chocolate!
I just want to clarify that the shower/bath combination is actually all part of one process which is more intended for relaxing than just getting clean (although you can absolutelyuse it for that too of course!) The idea is you shower first, then you soak afterwards! Japanese bathing culture/etiquette is surprisingly nuanced (as with most things Japanese!) If you go to a public bathhouse, the ritual gets even more intense! Love enjoying the trip with you guys
In Japan they have some really great accessibility things across the big cities. They have been working towards what they call ‘barrier free’ accessibility, covering all aspects of life, from travel and recreation all the way up to working…though I’m sure you found that some theme park stuff is a work in progress (it’s still way above Europe and the US). As they believe in the dignity of being able to work, they’ve even got ways in which paraplegic disabled people can remote control machines in factories, etc. There’s a long road to barrier free, but it’s amazing what they’re doing. Also helps that the wage gap between the highest and lowest earners is much smaller than Europe and the US - the honor of leading/managing being seen as higher value than the money - so generally people in the cities have more disposable income too. Sorry about the waffle, I just find Japan such a fascinating country all round and am LOVING this series 😊 you guys always bring the best videos.
I became emotional when Kitra got emotional about being in Japan's Disneyland/DisneySea! ❤ It brought back memories for me when I first visited and was so overwhelmed because it felt so unreal and I remembered feeling absolutely elated to be there! I hope you both have a fantastic time! And so happy you both finally visited! Keep up the great content! Try all the amazing popcorn 🍿 and I hope there is enough luggage space for the Disney haul ❤❤

Awww Kitra! I teared up with you girl! ❤ I went to Tokyo Disney for the first time a few years ago and as a huge Disney fan felt the same overwhelming sense of emotion! We stayed at the Miracosta Hotel as well, and the investment was SO worth it! We had a view of the huge globe inside the park from our room. LOVED your view of Venice! ❤️ I hope Peter ended up getting the vending machine collectible set, those are so unique to Tokyo Japan! I’ve been looking forward to this video series from you guys for so long, I’m so excited to follow along on your adventures! ❤❤❤

Wonderful, just so happy to see people ENJOYING the experience. It sounds like the American parks could use an infusion of Japanese quality and care. Thank you for sharing this trip! So I figure you guys get ‘the word’ from various places. Are there any plans for Galaxy’s Edge coming to Tokyo Disneyland? I think it would turn out spectacular.
I know they originally planned Galaxy’s edge for Paris but I don’t think that’s happening anymore. I don’t think Japanese is as into Star Wars as Americans are so I’d be surprised if they got a Galaxy’s edge but that would be awesome.

Going to Tokyo Disneyland or Tokyo Disney Sea will absolutely ruin you for Disney parks forever! It's such a stark difference between the quality and care they provide to guests there and then here in the American parks. Not to mention day tickets there when I went were $50 per day!!
Yes and no. Both are just great I think. However,we Japanese are very proud of Tokyo Disney Resort itself, original souvenirs, original park(especially Tokyo Disney Sea).
I went to Tokyo Disney a couple of weeks ago. DisneySea is Disney imagineering unleashed without a budget and is incredibly beautiful. That said, Disneyland Resort beats Tokyo Disney hands down in terms of rides. The wait times are brutal (over 2 hours for many rides), fast passes sell out instantly and even the lines for popcorn and churros are 45 minutes.
The souvenir game in asia is really strong. Like it is expected that you bring something for your colleagues as simple as going to an out of town vacation. You give them stuff like keychains, ref magnet, food, or just anything from the place you've been. I've been enjoying your videos soo much and I really envy you guys for being there on TDR's 40th anniversary. Happy Thanksgiving! Imma gobble this video up! Both the MiraCosta and TDL Hotel are so grand and I've watched so many walkthroughs just to see the details. I can only imagine how grand it really feels in person. I had the same reaction when I first stayed at The Grand Californian but MiraCosta is just another level. Truly a masterpiece of a hotel.
I want to stay at Disneyland hotel if we go back again to try that out. It looks amazing but I feel like being inside the park itself gives miracosta the edge
I love those red bean/black sesame seed balls/dumplings. I get those at my local Dim Sum place and they’re awesome!! Also, love Sochu and Yuzu as well Kitra, that was pretty much a fancy Highball similar to the canned ones you find all over Japan :)

I went to Tokyo Disneyland in May 1984, just after it opened. It was my first visit to a Disneyland theme park, but having visited the USA ones, and the one in Paris, this one is the best.

Kitra does all the editing! She’s amazing!
Absolutely love you both, this is such a beautiful adventure. I love hearing the trivia! I know nothing about the tiny details of this beautiful park. I too have tried to stay spoiler free
👍 thank you
Ahhh I loved this!! It’s rare to see the Tokyo Disney hotels but I’ve never even seen that one! And I’m soooo jealous of that Mickey ear beanie! I’ve been wanting it since the moment I set my eyes on it a while back. Hopefully it’s still there when I get a chance to go!
Im sure that will be a new lasting iconic merch item. Might be different colors by the time you get there but I expect them to stay
Amazing. Thank you for sharing 💛
You are so welcome!
Omg sesame balls!! Those are my FAVOURITE!!!!!!!! Especially with the black sesame seeds inside! It’s made of black sesame seeds, brown sugar, and butter.😋😋😋😋
They grew on me
@@OrdinaryAdventures I wanted to say a HUGE thank you for your Wonder of the Seas video! Hubby & I just got back Dec 6th & I took notes from your video! We managed to get everything except Giovanni’s as Hubby is allergic to hazelnut so we skipped it. We got EVERY drink, dessert, & recommendation you made onboard!! This Resort is beautiful!! The prices seem reasonable compared to the US. You can tell how happy you both are and we are so glad you finally made your dreams come true by going there!!!
😀 thanks
Here we go! As soon as you uploaded the first video that you two were going to Japan I was like "they are going to Disney" and I can't wait to see your reactions in the parks.
🙌
I love that they show the inside of the merchandise it's fantastic, can't wait for the vlogs 😁💯👍🇦🇺👋
I love that they show samples of everything too
I went to Tokyo Disneyland in May 1984, just after it opened. It was my first visit to a Disneyland theme park, but having visited the USA ones, and the one in Paris, this one is the best.
Totally
Hope you had a great Thanksgiving. Thanks for all your content 😊 💜💜💜👋
Thank you! You too!
