I'm not going to moan about my life at the moment as there are a lot of people worse off than me but I genuinely don't know what I'd do without the Stereophonics. Thank you.
to anyone who's arrogant, kelly has always said love or hate the band, they always do what they wanna do n keep true to wat the believe in unlike other artists, albums every 5 months to make shit loads of money and then sound shit live, stereophonics has to be one of the best bands in the last 20 years and have collaborated with big artists, they have worked hard to be where they are andno have a gimmick in sight to sell themselves, kelly will go down as one of the best lyricists/vocalists
Love the way he out-Liams Liam here - same swagger and raucous voice (but also singing in tune, and playing a guitar, and singing a song he wrote). This is 'officially' (i.e. in my house) the second-best song ever written by a Welshman.
I was there. It was sooo hot with the roof closed. Went to Donnington Park the weekend before too. This gig should have been at Chepstow racecourse but was cancelled due to foot and mouth outbreak. The Black Crowes and Ash supported. What a time to be a teenager!
They played this live at the Roundhouse last night - what a great song! Audience had voted for the songs they played so heard lots of old ones - Carrot Cake and Wine, Vegas Two Times, Just Looking - brilliant night.
I’d love to watch just the live version without the cuts (if anyone’s got a link)....it ‘is’ a double chorus so let’s just hear it..Superb band with undoubtedly one of the best vocalists for this genre...
mmmmm Welsh accents ... almost bit my finger off watching this.. ^)^ Merch74,they played Toronto in 03 at the Opera House, and again in 05... not sure of location. Leaves opened in 03, and Augustana in 05. awesome. I made it to the Opera House, FRONT ROW>> sang every song, waved my Welsh flag around... this is a rippin' song, my kids all love it too
awsum song love this band pantheonlincoln if u dunt like them keep it 2 urself nd yy u listenin 2 it if u dun like them luv streoponics awsum band i say agen haha jess xx
I was at this show. It sucked ass compared to the time I saw them 3 years before, just before "Performance & Cocktails" came out. Ash were one of the support bands that day and were so much better, and they still are. In 1998 I loved this band, I'm still in disbelief at how shit they became, and how quickly it happened.
@mellowNdark Kelly Jones is probably the best lyricist for 20 years. This song doesn't have the best lyrics but Word gets around and you gotta go there to come back's lyrics are brilliant.
@Talkathonic sorry if im replying to the wrong one ,butt theyr not reconised enough for they'r talent i think hes a great lyricst kelly ,he makes the band in my oppinion.and i havnt heard them butt its your opinion that counts for you butt im 15 and sterephonics are my favourite band and think they should get more attention for theyr work wich is trumendous.i will have a listen to jonny marr and the smiths too compare.
@widey1995 No problem. The Smiths admittedly sound a bit 80s but they were the best band around during the 80s, only The Cure was second to them (see Boys don't cry). The majority of Smiths tunes are legendary. Especially, 'There is a light that never goes out', 'What difference does it make', 'the boy with a thorn in his side', 'this charming man', 'how soon is now'. A bit different from the Stereophonics but Morrissey and Johhny are so much more talented than Kelly and folk (RIP Cable).
fuckin welsh with fuckin accent ^^ Anyway, Stereophonics are one of my favorite band ever...and "T Shirt" is my favorite song of them... But...i don't get some of the lyrics. Why did he say "french afternoon" in the lyrics? Do afternoons in France have somethin' special? lol
@stereophonics10 hah! I wouldn't go so far as that, there are plenty of better British bands out there. I'd put The Smiths pretty high up, The Stone Roses etc . I don't think the Stereophonics are in the same league to be honest.
@widey1995 I think you were replying to someone else surely? They sound great but technically they're not that great. I grew up listening to them don't get me wrong, I like his voice but they're not that great a band technically. They have a good sound, personally i have a thing for 'word gets around' but that's probably because I listened to it as a teenager but there are far better bands out there. The Smiths from the 80s come to mind. Johnny Marr is a much better guitarist. Janglo pop.
@mellowNdark there is clearly something wrong with you!!!!! >:( go home and listen to the cheeky girls, their probably more your thing by the sounds of it!!!!!!!!
I'm not going to moan about my life at the moment as there are a lot of people worse off than me but I genuinely don't know what I'd do without the Stereophonics. Thank you.
what a perfect song
the chorg progression in the chorus is out of this world :D

@Talkathonic u sure?
Who had the "brilliant idea" of putting scenes from backstage? It breaks the experience of the live concert...
@mellowNdark Ah you seriously implying that the phonics cant play live?? I'm a MSP fan as well actually
@mellowNdark I feel sorry for you
i know i was ment to say the 5th :P i did rite it strait after but crap special guests though :(
