Hey guys hope you enjoy this walk across Morrowind. So I wanted to mention, I turned down the mouse sensitivity to the lowest setting and it still was insanely fast turning. Hopefully you don't get to disoriented while watching hehe... my bad 🤡
your vid is very cool! thx alot. Imma watch it often for i don t know morrowind yet :)
Fell asleep to this and woke up in a cold sweat to the sound of a wizard falling to his death.
That's not good having dreams like that, man. Those are the lingering threads of Prophecy.
AyYYYEEEEEHOOOHOOHOO

I love that they used all of this music and ambience for Solstheim in Skyrim too. It legit made me stay in Solstheim for WAY longer than I would have otherwise. It was so nostalgic.
I didn't even know - that is so cool
Morrowind is one my most favorite games of all time, I still play it 19 years later. This game was my childhood
Do you play differently each time or are you a creature of habit? :)
@@Clystron426 I usually take the same path as before lol but sometimes I’ll role play. The side quests, while numerous, are still kinda dull so I ended up doing all the factions I can along with the dlc
@Brandon Renner how is it going backwards to morrowind? I also grew up on oblivion, played when it came out and for years after and only just recently played skyrim during covid... I've always heard morrowind is VERY good, but worry that it's too dated meaning that coming from skyrim and oblivion it'll feel boring. did you feel like that, or does it hold up? I'm curious since everyone says it's reaaaaally really good and better than those two lol. I remember trying it out and playing just 5 mins and unsure what was going on lol
I'm with you sir, no game can match the absolute freedom and with the soundtrack. Question are you playing this on PC?
@@nitrofura9991 yes I play on PC now. I started on the OG Xbox
I first played this game in May 2005. I played all month. I actually lived that month in Morrowind
You were late to the party so you went crazy when you heard the music. Understandable for an outlander. 😉
Didn't even glance down at that falling mage, stone cold my dude.
Just another day in Morrowind. That man does it every Tuesday. He's a menace I tell you. A menace!
There is nothing that gives me the sense of nostalgia as Morrowind does - this music and ambiance will never leave me.
The only thing missing is constant flow of cliff racers.
My homeschooled siblings and I played this so much that my Dad hid it, telling us to bring our grades up before we could play it again. Little did he know, that we knew where he hid it and for a whole year we would get the disc off of the top of the shelf, pop it in and play for an hour or two and he never knew. After the school year was over he was like, “Well, you did all right this year so you all can finally play that game you love so much.”
Us: 👀👀 Yes sir
That's such a great memory!
What a grand and intoxicating innocence.
"Great. I'm sure you'll fit right in"
01:28:42 For what everyone was looking for.
Yes that was pretty funny 😂
ngl, caught me off guard first time I ever played the game and again listening to this in the background while studying XD
but why did he just ignore him LOL
relaxing indeed)
First thing I did was loot his his body, then I died using icarian flight. 😆
I can't believe all these years later, searching for morrowind videos to crash out to and I find this masterpiece. Oh how I miss this game, the sheer capacity with the construction set tool.. what an amazing nostalgia trip this is and I just might go replay it AGAIN.
If your oblivion walk video was on tape, I would have worn it out months ago. I listen to it every night to help me sleep. Just starting this video now. The only thing about the oblivion video that bugged me was how loud the door opening sounds are, but that's not on you, that's Bethesda. Nothing like finally drifting off to sleep to be jarred awake by door slam loud enough to rival a nuclear explosion. What was Todd thinking lol
"It just works" Yeah Todd is a one of a kind guy. But I'm happy you've been enjoying them man :)
Is that english? Xddddd
when my GF slams the door when she is pissed.... Now THAT is nuclear :P
@@Krzyco007 it's "English", with capital letters. Learn how to write before judging others.
@@superjarri exactly. Its not even properly written xd
As soon as I hear the theme song it just takes me straight back to Seyda Neen! Thank you for this :)
I’m a med student, usually I struggle a lot to focus on books when studying (probably it’s ADHD) and this video has been a lifesaver to me. It tricks my brain to go into “game mode” in which I get wayy more focused lol, so my productivity went up sky high, thank you for posting this and I hope youtube never takes this down.
Literally me man. Though actually diagnosed in my case. Sounds remind me of less stressful times with my dad and my brother.
I do this same thing with videos like this at work while I’m in excel spreadsheets. I can’t keep on task normally then I put this on and suddenly I’m megamind 💀
Since Morrowind didn't have Fast Travel, most things involved a relaxing walk somewhere, lol
why walk when you can ride?
Why ride when you can levitate?
Why levitate when you can skooma
Why skooma when you can fell in coma? ....okey i guess i ruined this comment comment section... i'm out bye..
This is one of the most calming things to ever exist. Thank you for sharing this with us!
Yo this is awesome! Definitely the best of the series. I love playing this game because it is so original and the world is so alien especially compared to the other too. Best soundtrack too. Great choice!! Keep up the great uploads!
Wanna take the chopper out?
Hey, I may be a commie but I agree 100% Morrowind was definitely the best game in the series. None of the others really nailed the sense of alien realism that Morrowind excelled at. Soundtrack, like the game, was simple but elegant.
Morrowind is literally the game I grew up with. Notice can replace the memories of me finishing homework and reading endless journey logs and dialogue and never get bored.
Easily one of the best soundtracks of all time. Thank you for this.
I'm glad im not the only person who needs this in their life from time to time
High school all over again........such an awesome world.
For anyone wondering, I’m guessing he’s using MWGE,which is a graphics enhancer that allows for rendering larger landscapes and buildings,as well as unique skyboxes. Haven’t used it personally as I messed up the installation process but it’s super easy all said and looks great because it relieves the “stretch” look higher FOV monitors come with when loading in without it.
I often use your vids as background ambiance while we play board games like Warhammer , Talisman , D&D , etc.
I can't thank you enough for it . It may seem silly , but it gives that extra little bit of Immersion that is actually missed when we don't use your vids . The vids you provide are the icing on the cake
They have now become a staple of our get-together evenings for our game nights .
Thanks for them, always, you are appreciated my man.
Much love from Canada . Cheers .
i was happily listening to this while writting, when out of nowhere i heard the *distinct noises of a familiar falling mage*. I was spooked to say the least lol, immediatly went to the video in another tab to see none other than the goofus himself lying down by his tome lol
Excellent vid.
The same. I marked it just to ensure people would know where it's at.
I've learned to appreciate the tip-tap of the footsteps from Just Background Noise's Twitch VODs and I'm so SO glad I can hear them here too!
Blessings of Azura upon ye
Still love how it feels like walking on another planet
Got an advert 5 minutes in and pissed the bed
I just wanna be young again, and play this game the first time. Fucking nostalgia.
Ah, to feel the same awe I felt when I got into the first ash storm, or when I delved the first cave, or saw Vivec for the first time. It was the first game where the game world felt like a *place* and not a level, to me.
This is what I needed in my life, ty!
The music is fabulous ! I loved every hour of playing this game.
I just found your channel, and it's just lovely. These long calming walks take me back, it feels nostalgic and relaxing. Thank you ❤️
Thank you for all these videos! Great for a relaxing evening and fond memories!
@1:28:50 The caterwauling scared the crap out of me XD ah then I realized there was no way to avoid the wizard's mishap lmfao.
Thank you, Loopy, for everything you do for us)
Well thank you Merra, it's my pleasure :)
This really scratched my Morrowind itch! Been wanting to reinstall/mod it up again but just haven't had the drive. Appreciate the video! Great work!
I totally downloaded the audio to this... thanks!!!! Jeremy Soule ...great composer...
That’s really cool that a lot of the Skyrim music came from this game, I had no idea
ive been trying to play morrowind and i love many aspects of this game, but i cant get over the combat
The combat is really off-putting if you're coming from Oblivion or Skyrim. What helped me was the realization of the "under the hood" dice rolls that the combat relies on. For instance, if you have a low skill in "long blade" and you are using a long blade weapon, your chance to land a hit is going to be much lower. The game doesn't really explain this dice roll mechanic, and visually it looks similar to Skyrim and Oblivion so it doesn't make sense when it looks like you should be landing hits but you're not. Another factor that impacts your chance to land successful blows is your Agility attribute. If your agility is low and your skill level in whatever weapon you're using is low, you're going to miss constantly and die a lot.
If I may make a suggestion, try using a character that focuses primarily on one weapon type (I always like to go Long blade) and try to raise your Endurance, Agility and Strength attributes up as quickly as possible. Use the skills that are governed by those specific attributes to get the maximum amount of bonus points when you level up. For instance, if you increase your skill in "long blade" ten times between level ups, you'll get the maximum bonus of 5 points to put into your Strength attribute when you get to that level up screen. Same thing with the "heavy armor" skill and the endurance attribute. You can also utilize skill trainers throughout the world to help you raise skills faster so you can get those sweet bonus attribute points much easier.
You may already realize this and if so my apologies, but I notice a lot of people get turned away from Morrowind because they don't realize that their low agility and low skill with whatever weapon they're using, or low skill with magic is causing the internal dice roll to roll against them and they get frustrated. Hope this helps. Morrowind is a very rich and rewarding game that makes you feel quite literally like a god, once you master its archaic game mechanics.
I vibe with this intro more than anything else, I literally do the camera bob to the music too. This is perfect for long study sessions, thanks mate
lol i love that the most replayed part is what we all came here for
constantly feels like a cliff racer is about to attack
Cheers. Alwayys loved Morrowiind explore tracks. Thanks
THIS IS FUCKING BEAUTIFAL!!!
Ok this is a winner for me. Subbed. 👍♥️
This video is going on my classical/study music playlist!
These kind of videos are hard to find and you have the best ones. keep up the good work
this was just SUCH a great idea, bravo!
For those that want to mod Morrowind to look even better than this. This is video and guy that helped me, super easy to follow - ua-cam.com/video/5oyvT5QDuh0/v-deo.html Good Luck :)
Now this guy recommends playing Morrowind with OpenMW. This is a new graphics engine, supporting original mods and providing separate shadow for every object in game (this first was implemented in Skyrim) and much more features (like dynamic lightning, OpenGL 2.0 instead of DirectX 8.1)
And of course native support for macOS, Linux, and Windows, improved physics and AI.
Nostalgia. Thank you for this.
I miss this game every day xD
Yay thank you perfect timing. Now I can sleep haha as always it’s very much appreciated.❤️
Haha no problemo glad your still liking them Manda :)
i am 35 and do not play videogames for 10 years or so, had a lot of favourite games in youth but Morrowind.. it is like a magical world from childhood, that once was real
I love your vids thank you so much!!
Have never played this game but surroundings look so cool
Thanks for the upload!
I loved playing Oblivion as an Imperial; Skyrim as a Nord. Certainly, I will love playing Hammerfell as a Redguard.
very beautiful sky in Morrowind!
this video is a godsent, thank you
pit pat pit pat pit pat pit pat
Beautiful game play 🌅
Good stuff Loopy.
Another great video
What are the graphics enhancements you are using? I'm guessing this is openMW, and if so would you recommend it for playing the game? Also, thank you for this beautiful video xoxo
This video is calling out a Core Memory of mine.
Will you do some Morrowind videos like you did with the other Elder Scrolls longplays ? I've been binge watching all of them on your channel and I've been having that delightful comfort feeling, like when I played these games years ago, now I'm craving more =D
Love it or hate it I love eso and it’s cool to see how much from each game is incorporated into eso yea the servers don’t perform the best, the devs really can’t be bothered to fix the game over making money from crown crates and new content but the folk that design the atmosphere and actual world you’re playing in nailed it with songs incorporated from each game in the series with some being altered versions in a lot of cases it’s a true masterpiece I just wish the game was the same as it was 7 or so years ago it was a truly amazing game back in the day, sad to say but it seems to be hanging on by a thread nowadays
I ❤ this channel.
Oh, great idea!!! I'm waiting for you to walk around the Shire from the Lord of the Rings online game :)
I will say, I was drifting in and out of sleep to this last night, and I was almost back to sleep until I just randomly heard
AAARRRRRRGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGG
AAAOOOOOOOOOOAAAAAAAAAGGGHH
10/10 experience, would nap again ^_^
never played morrowind but my conection to oblivion and skyrim makes me feel oddly nostalgic over morrowind too :)
If you ever do consider openmw for morrowind.
What mods are you using to make it look so bright and green and alive? I'm so used to muddy washed out Morrowind
So beautiful ❤
I was a bit startled when there came someone falling down on the road all of a sudden hahaha....... loved how you just looked at the body and went on with the walk "I've got viewers to satisfy peasant ! " LOL
I miss playing this game, hope Beyond Skyrim comes through.....
Well met, Outlander.
I often am very relaxed walking through Morrowind.. only to be called a “swit” by someone and then attacked by a cliff racer two seconds later.
Let's go to Balmora folks. Do all of the Balmora things that you do, ya know. Anyone who has played knows EXACTLY what we all do there lol.
1:28:50 The one part about the relaxing walk that wasn't quite so relaxing...
I would think it was a glitch because Oblivion and Skyrim had falling characters..lol😂
Love your vids, could you do a longplay of morrowind please.
Maybe one day, but I have no clue how to play this game though lol
@@LoopyLongplays Technically that's not true. You have orders to find Caius Cosades in Balmora once you get released at Seyda Neen. But it really doesn't matter(except that it does)...
Lovely, something so magical about Morrowind. What mods are you using please?
My thoughts exactly!! There are a lot of buildings here that aren't on my version and the graphics are almost on par with Skyrim!
@@paulscouten1868 superior in some parts like unlimited light sources. Skyrim is only using up to 32 at the same time and lanterns dont cast shadows on clutter and fauna terrain.
Hey great video. Is this modded or just vanilla Morrowind (minus the UI?)
Best game ever made
Not a single Cliff Racer!
yes!!!!!!! my favourite game
Listening to this to fall asleep then suddenly TARHIEL JUMPSCARE
Sometimes I think about kids these days and if they will feel something familiar, when they hear their favorite tiktok soundtrack in their mid 20s.
Как упоительны в Вивеке вечера)))
You mad lad.
Hey Loopy can we get a longplay of Morrowind? I sure would love that
Must have used no clip otherwise I would have expected at least a "small" hoard of ten thousand cliff racers to interrupt
My favorite TES game
1:28:53 for the memes.
I hated that Morrowind didn't have fast travel like every other ES game, but once I joined the mages guild and realized they had teleportation mages and eventually learned Mark/Recall, I realized they incorporated fast travel into the gameplay itself instead of just being a menu option. I really fell in love with Morrowind after finishing my first playthrough. Might be time to go play again.
the lack of fast travel is, in part, what makes this game rewarding and iconic.
glad to see sepultura fan
I dig the Sepultura pfp.
@Big Footless Thanks, man! Was lucky enough to see them live a few years ago with Prong and Testament. Beneath the Remains is one of my favorite thrash albums of all time!
@@DontStopCornPop Testament is awesome as well, and Beneath the Remains is one of my all time favorites as well. Arise is also so good.
1:28:47 perfect moment)
This game was better than Oblivion and Skyrim
Чувак это такой кайф
Where has this vid been all my life? It is... just... wow. Like a comfy blanket for my shivering mind. Take an upvote, my subscription and please tell me... how can I make my Morrowind game look like yours? I tried modding it but I am too dumb to do so.
Please tell me, what are your mods and how can I install them properly?
Well thank you and I'm glad ya liked the video so much :) In terms of mods I followed this guy's advice, he explained things easily for me cause I had no clue what to do either lol - ua-cam.com/video/5oyvT5QDuh0/v-deo.html
Ironically, actually walking through Morrowind was horrifying.
