Sony did another short called Early Bloomer (released theatrically & on DVD with Daddy Day Care).

I Still want this to be a movie. CHUBCHUBS THE MOVIE WHERE IS IT ILL WATCH IT IN CINEMAS PROMISE!!!

Ahoyhoy There, Fellow UA-camrino! I feel the true Disnee movies are like " Oliver and Company, "The Brave Little Toaster," "The Jungle Book(1969, 1998, and 2016)" just because they bought The Nightmare before Christmas Star Wars, The Simpsons and other once great properties, I still see The Simpsons as Fox, the Nightmare before Christmas as Touchstone and Star Wars as whatever it originally belonged to. The properties that MADE all these things what they are today, are not ALL Disnee. What do or did you think of when thinking of who made The Simpsons? What comes to mind even still? Probably Twentieth Century Fox.
An elderly couple thought they were in the wrong theater once when I was working at a movie theater when they wanted to see Mib2. I had to tell them that it was a part of the opening to Mib2.
If "baby" chickens were as ferociously badass in real life as these things are, you gotta wonder how much more dangerous they'd be as full-grown adults!!!!!
I watched this short film as a kid and it really impressed me (I mean it scared me). I didn't think it was actually pretty harmless, I had nightmares on this basis. After ten years or more, I finally remembered the content more or less well to find it.
The Chum Chum was the first animation studios short film for ImageWorks from Sony, before Sony Pictures Animation was founded in 2002 and before Open Season was released in theaters in 2006.
I even heard that Sony was even planning to sell off Imageworks. But after failing to find a potential buyer, impressed by their work on both Spider-Man and Stuart Little 2, and the success of both Disney-Pixar and DreamWorks, Sony decided to keep Imageworks and even opened the studio up as both a VFX studio and a Feature Animation studio.
I have been trying to remember this for years! All I could remember was an alien singing "why cant we be friends". I used to be obsessed with the Chubb Chubbs as a kid. So glad I finally found it!
I remember seeing this when I rented “Surfs Up” when I was a kid. The animation kind of reminded me of the classic Rayman games a little bit. The nostalgia and powerful message hit so hard, It brings me back. Also, Mortonette Jenkins did a really good job playing as the Singing Diva in this short film. Also, I sure do hope that Sony got away with the Star Wars, E.T. & other references in this short film.
Simply fantastic! As it's said: Never judge a book by it's cover! Incredibly well made cartoon. Thanks a lot for making taping editing uploading and sharing.

I remember I had two or three ChubChubbs shorts on my copy of Surf’s Up. 😂😂 I would use that DVD daily to rewatch these weird little shorts, i love them
Man, I watched this video as a kid in theater (I don't remember the movie it played before). After so many years of trying to determine where else ide seen Jar Jar Binks besides the movie, I decided I'd seen it wrong. Turns out I was not only right, I'd missed like 50 other space creatures.
Holy shit I remember this! I remember Surf's up had this! Jeez, after all these years, I _finally_ understand what they're saying! And you know what? The animation may be... a bit dated, and the character designs are... ehhh. But it's still good in my opinion!
You can also see in the bar : Yoda and Darth Vader fighting, an alien with the same hair as Leia saying "stay solo, Han" and also E-T 😄 (there's most certainly more references but those were fun to spot)
