Hello my dears, I hope you've had/are having a good day!
I've been hesitant to remake this ever since I first started redrawing the Mane 6 Deaths. I struggled with the first version of this, on top of how hard it was for me to make the background, I never really liked the result regardless of how hard I worked on it. That's why, when this piece went surprisingly well and I was PROUD of it, I was over the moon - and still am! I'm so happy that this time, I enjoyed drawing this piece, and I'm even more pleased with how it turned out.
The last up in the Mane 6 will be Pinkie Pie, but her speedpaint will NOT be included in the compilation video due to the sensitive themes. I will also make a little animatic as an aftermath just for her, (it's a happy ending, don't worry) so stay tuned for that💕

Applejack silently walked around in the apple grove, clouded with grief. Ever since Dash's death, things never looked the same again.
The funeral was packed with mourners. She remembered Twilight trying to console Fluttershy, who's tears filled to the brim on her eyes. Rarity and Pinkie Pie looked shocked and in tears as well as the royal sisters. Celestia nearly choked on her own tears as she tried to talk for Dash's death. The sight was so painful that she excused herself to go to the grove, to mourn and cry in peace.
She was buried in her own grief that she failed to notice a nearby tree was about to fall. Without warning, it fell on Applejack, crushing her to death.
In her last moments, she tried to scream for help. Unfortunately, everyone was so focused on Rainbow Dash's funeral that no one even heard her or worse saw her missing.
As her vision started to blur, she reached out to someone, anyone, who could help her out in this scenario. And just before she closed her eyes, she saw something walking towards to her.
That familiar shade of blue....

the contrast between this gorgeous landscape that looks like eden it's so perfect and this gruesome scene of a cartoon horse being crushed to death. i love it so much, my favourite 2022 re-do so far.
The composition is beautiful! And honestly, the way everything is positioned is both really tragic , but also kinda hilarious? Cause it's like your eye is immediately drawn to this scenic aspect of the sun setting in the background in this peaceful apple orchard, and then BAM, Applejack's crushed bloody corpse! It's so jarring and a bit hidden so it makes you have to really look for a second before truly noticing the carnage. Poor Applejack.... nice picture though! Even better than the first attempt!

Yo!! That is amazing progress. Really brought out the desperate expression even more. In the First one, she looked more angry than in pain, in this one it’s more like she’s kinda just given up the hope of being rescued. Amazing, absolutely amazing, breathtaking one might say. I’ll just go ahead and let myself out.
But first, I just want to say, I didn’t think it was possible to make the original better, it looked amazing! Keep it up and you will be one of the top gore UA-cam artists. I know thats not your main focus but it is GREAT!! ❤️

It had been mere weeks since Rainbow had passed, Applejack was affected the most by it, her wife was now gone. She fell into a state of deep depression. She refused to leave her room for days, only moving to go to the bathroom and change position on her bed, the bed she expected herself to rot away and die in.
One night though, something was telling AJ to wake up from her slumber, her whole body tremored as her eyes fell open. Her head was faced towards a window overlooking the orchard. She simply looked up at the moon, wishing to be with her mare oncemore. As she was succumbing back to her slumber, a familiar voice called out to her. The voice of a certain cyan pegasus.
"Ajjj, Im hereeeee, come outsideee..." Rainbows voice called from outside, Applejack instantly snapped up and ran up to the window. There she was... Her mare was there, fluttering in front of the window.
"Rainbow! Th-there's no way you're here right now! You..." Applejack trailed off as she simply absorbed the beauty of her partner once more, a beauty she missed, a beauty she craved. Rainbow pulled her in for a gentle embrace and a slow, loving kiss. AJ was absolutely starstruck. She opened her mouth to say something but Rainbowdash sped away from the window and against a tree down below, AJ crawled out of her window and followed her, her gait was desperate and sparatic. She wanted to be with her partner once more.
As she approached Rainbow dash, she suddenly disappeared. AJ stood in silence as her mare faded away from her grasp. Her jaw fell open, her eyes locked on the blue stain in her hooves. Without thinking, anger and confusion took over, she screamed and threw herself to the ground. Then began to buck viciously at a tree beside her, the adrenaline was fuelling her to an absolute breaking point. After one more savage buck, the tree tipped over, falling directly onto AJ. She felt all of her ribs snap under the pressure, an ungodly pain wooshed over her, she could do nothing but scream and claw at the ground in front of her.
NOt before long though, her body completely gave out, she felt the life drain out of her slowly, as her eyes fluttered shut, a blue figure came into view. AJ couldnt help but shut her eyes, but she felt soft warm fur wrap around her in her last moments..
Wow, Applejack really found the best time to die in :) The view is gorgeous~

This is perfection, per usual!! I really didn’t think you could make this drawing any better but here we are! I truly adore the small change in perspective as well as Apple jack’s expression!!!! You never cease to amaze.
I find it beautifully tragic that she can’t even watch the sun set while she dies, since the tree she’s being crushed by is definitely in the way
“The night was cold, everypony was in tears, everypony’s favorite blue and rainbow pony was dead, apple jack took it extremely hard, she stayed up crying for almost every night, she starved herself, she only ate if apple bloom begged her to, in the morning she went out, face soaked from crying, to buck the trees, while she was out, she had a mental breakdown, tears stream down her orange face, and fall into the basket of apples she was sitting behind, in her tear-ridden eyes, she couldn’t see the rotting tree about to fall, it fell on her, she tried to scream but there was only blood, she was dead, her body was found by apple bloom a day later, when she wasn’t seen, at least she was with rainbow dash again, right?”
Oh my god, it's just wonderful, how much you progress, I see new brushes tried here, the work came out very atmospheric and unrealistically pleasant, very cool

The way you combined a very pleasant atmosphere to an unpleasant one makes this more so terrifying, like the sunrise dawning over a corpse of a once hardworking pony, that alone just states that even an environment that looks peaceful can be dangerous
