Hello hello everyone! Well,, I guess I'm redesigning the villains now! I've been commissioned to redesign Nightmare Moon as well, so I'm very excited! This is a commission for one of my best friends LadySnepi, she's one of the sweetest, funniest and just overall most amazing people I've ever met! A huge thanks to her for commissioning me & her patience, and I'm so glad she likes the final result! I'm personally very pleased with how this piece came out, specially Chrysalis' design! Oh. My. God. I... I'm so impressed... This is brilliant. Chrysalis looks so horrific, more like a real bug. I love that her eyes looks like fly one's and all her spine looks like anglerfish light. And her legs... This is sick. I can not express all my filings and impression that i got, but this is just perfect. From the stream i knew, this is will be sick, bit imagine in this way... Wow...

Seeing Crysallis like this really makes the MLP Dark Fanfic "One" seem more real and dark. I love her entire design and that she looks so creepy and very deformed.

This has got to be one of my favorite pieces you’ve ever done Blits! This interpretation of Chrysalis is just AMAZING!! All the little glowing lights and the insect eyes?? And the long spooky legs?? Love it! The MLP villains have always been my favorite, I would love to see you maybe do a new rendition of Discord or Nightmare Moon someday soon! Great work as always!

Oh I LOVE this darker redesign! Now I imagine instead of changelings consuming just the energy of love now I can see Chrysalis and her kind liking to eat the hearts filled with love, consuming them only when the emotion is at its ripest.
Absolutely in love with this redesign. The bug elements fit so incredibly well, and it makes sense that a more horrific version of Chrysalis would literally go after the heart of her prey. Something interesting for me is the little glowing bits on her antennae/ears and back. While those could certainly have firefly inspiration, I'm gonna go out on a limb and equate them to angler fish. You know, those deep sea fish that use the little lights to lure in their meals. Perhaps they have some hypnotic quality to immobilize her victims [Say, making them think she's a pony they know] until it's too late, and she pounces. Of course this is just my interpretation, but I think it's super neat! Stunning artwork as always, and incredibly creative redesign. Well done!
Ooh! I have an Idea. What if the glowy bits are also what helps her change? Like, she sticks the tips of her hooves/feet/etc. Into the blood of the pony, the DNA info gets absorbed by the glowy bits, and then it send the genetic info up into her body? Similar to how they change in the real show as well.
I love how you made her look more like an insect, it's so cool and original. It makes it more exciting to watch :))
Chrysalis with this redesign looks both beautiful and terrifying, like a toxic flower or a cursed gem. She's gorgeous, but, will kill you if you're tricked by her alluring colors.

In the wings aspect of this, it could be like a lady bug or a beetle of sorts, having her wings tucked in when not needed
I love the way how QC has this mix of bug and angler fish to her. It makes her look so cool. I wonder what a restored version of her would look like 🤔

I ADORE the design, but where are her wings? They may be under the back plate things but idk, it'd be more bug like for her to fly. Amazing design nonetheless! She's my fave MLP villain design-wise ^^

Easily one of the most incredible horror artists I’ve come across. I love the idea of taking something so innocent and sweet and turning it into something SO CREEPY and horrific. It’s like how people are afraid of creepy little girls, or dolls coming to life. Its so fascinating the things you come up with, so many of your creations have genuinely frightened me and I LOVE IT!!!! I cant wait to see what you make in the future!

Story time: Twilight awoke to the sound of a thud. She was confused no one was in the castle with her she thought as she slowly crept down the stairs. She heard the sound of insect legs tapping on the hardwood floor below her, as she crept closer she heard a silent quick scream, followed by the sound of bones cracking and a wet sound, like when you squish a water stress ball too hard. She walks closer to the door The disturbing noise echoing off the walls, A slight buzzing noise can be heard from the door in front of her, she steps in The pitch dark room, all the sudden The room lights up with a ghastly green light. She is startled at the horrific sight. Big bug eyes stared deep into her soul in the dark. In mere seconds The room was completely lit. she wished she was dreaming as she stared at chrysalis new form, her horn was admitting a soft ghastly green as she looked closer she could see the heart of another in her grasp. She wanted to throw up she had never seen such a sight chrysalis droped The heart and started trotting towards her. Twilight couldn’t move she was frozen in terror. As chrysalis started running she lowered her head and stabbed twilight in the chest. She dropped to the ground leaving her heart on her curved horn…

In all seriousness, this is amazing! She looks more like a real bug and is much spookier, I love the ears and legs! And the eye is cute
I really like that you didn't go for the monster-like approach but switched to the softer, more round head shape. It gives her more of a "benevolent queen" feel but still seems alien with all the insect parts.

But seeing your art always brings back those wonderful memories
This desing looks so cool, beautiful, horryfic and I'm out of words, I can describe how good it is, but I just want to say something... As an animator (this is not my animations account/channel) it would be a headache, a torture animating this desing. It has so many little details that are amazong but yet terrifying.

Chrysalis somewhat looks cute, reminiscing how the changelings look like in the actual show. I like how she doesn't look as different from the others despite the drastic difference in height. I did like the teeth idea... if you decide to redesign the common changeling, try adding the sharp teeth (if you don't know what I'm talking about it's the teeth that goes over the lips, it looks super cool!)
Anyway, loving the art process!! Even if I'm like 4 months late...
She is terrifyingly, hauntingly, gorgeous...
I have no words for how cool this is. I wish I could draw digital drawings like that. I'm pretty good with just pencil and paper, but my digital drawings are... shaky, to say the least. Tips are needed anaccepted, whether they're just about drawing in general, or about digital drawing specifically!
