There was no stopping it- they could only hope to stall while citizens evacuated. One by one they got picked off. Rarity was first, and Twilight locked her up to try finding a cure. Pinkie was next, then Apple Jack... Fluttershy lived longer because she fled into her forest. Poor thing was taken by surprise when the infection spread to animals. Rainbow lasted the longest. She was a good flier, and the zombie pegasus couldn't keep airborne long. She tried checking in on Twilight to make sure she was okay. Rarity had broken out. Twilight was long gone, found eating what was left of Spike. Rainbow tried to run, but, mother of Celestia, there was blood everywhere. She slipped once, and that was all it took. They wandered the streets now. They wouldn't last longer than a few months until decomposition set in, but while they lived, they tormented the few survivors. Celestia, when flying over the town to scale the damage, noticed Twilight, with Rarity limping behind her. The sparse photos of Twilight had shown mangled wings and a broken horn. Celestia did not see that. She saw new feathers growing and wounds scabbing. She saw the horn slowly mending itself. She saw her old friend look up and met her bloodshot eyes. Twilight smiled.

Apparently, Fluttershy's pets were freaking out and she couldn't figure out why, she just said they were really scared and tried to run away. They heard a thump from the door, and Fluttershy's went to check it out. A severely injured pony stepped in, dripping crimson, warm blood. He was missing a leg, and he had torn flesh around his mouth. Both mares were now beside the pony, helping him to stay standing. "H-Help, the city is-" His voice was tired and laborious, the words came out spaced as he tried to breath. "The city is what?!" Twilight asked, as her brows furrowed. "They a-are ea-" His sentence was interrupted when he fell, not able to resist anymore. He plopped to the ground, pupils rolling to the back of his skull. "Oh my gosh! What do we do?!" Asked Fluttershy, as her voice wavered and her legs trembled. Twilight tried to heal him with a magic spell she had learned a while ago, but it proved useless. He was dead. Twilight and Fluttershy left to get help, only to stop at the sight of the City's Plaza. A crowd of dead-looking ponies surrounded something, whatever it was, it had once been alive, as the cracking of bones and the ripping of feathers could be heard. Both mares went pale. Twilight wanted to puke, while Fluttershy let out a terrified shriek. Heads with hanging, torn flesh turned to look at them, their bloodshot eyes -some of them actually missed eyes- focusing on their standing form, before sprintting towards them. "We have to go, NOW!" Said Twilight as she broke out of shock and opened her wings. However, Fluttershy didn't. Instead, she ran into the crowd with hopes of finding anyone still alive. She got eaten. After the outbreak, Twilight set up a small investigation center at one house -that she broke in to- that seemed Big and far enough from the center of the city, where she kept her now infected friends locked up on a separated room with a window. Finding them all was hard, but she made it. It broke her heart to see her friends -including Spike- all mangled up and starting to rot. She stayed up all night studying, wanting to find a cure as soon as possible, not that she could sleep anyways. The effects of the lack of sleep and food started showing soon, as she started to hallucinate constantly and pull at her hair. One day, as Twilight did her daily check on the zombified mares, she noticed her friends were trying to tell her something. She heard Rarity's voice calling for help, and intantly opened, got Rarity out and ckosed the door behind her "What happens, Rarity?" She asked, her voice laced with hope. Instead of words, a long groan came out. In an instant, Twilight understood that Rarity speaking was only another hallucination, but it was already to late. The lack of sleep had deteriorated her control over her magic, so when she tried to stop Rarity from bitting her, nothing worked. She knew her end had come. Now, the miserable ponies roam around, tied to their own body, their own brain. The few survivors that remain, hide on the forest. The end.
Rarity: "I'm hungry." Twilight: "Go eat something." Rarity: "How much more walking do we have left." Twilight: "Just a few more minutes." Rarity: "But you said that an hour ago." Twilight: "I know but you said you were hungry and tired so we stopped for a bit." Rarity: "My hooves hurt." Twilight: "..." Rarity: "Twilight!" Twilight: "What?" Rarity: "My hair is a mess." Shining Armor stood proudly, his younger sister’s corpse laying in front of him. It had been three years after the assassination. Time for his plan. “Body of the victim...flesh of the father...” he tossed his father’s decapitated body next to Twilight’s. “And the love of the eldest.” Shining Armor later down; and hugged his dear sister, her open wounds oddly soft. He felt a small movement in her legs, yet no heartbeat. The princess was back, but not nearly as magical. “Roam the streets with your friend. Show the world your hatred for them, for you are the element of despise, so live up to your name.” Her soulless eyes nodded, as her cold body rose. This was her kingdom, a kingdom she died for. Now...everyone would follow her example
This reminds me of a mother and daughter on a hiking trip and the daughter (Rarity) is complaining, "Mooooooom I'm tiiiiired..." And the mom (Twilight) is fed up with the daughter's shit.

Being railroaders and capable of ferrying supplies to the few defenders left, Jessie and I were the last of the group to stay unaffected. With our trusty locomotive “Iron Stallion,” we could harbor survivors and furnish them with armor, weapons, food, and other necessary supplies on what was left of the prestigious Crystal Express.’ I had weaponized the plow on the Stallion’s front, in the event that a corpse decided to trudge onto the tracks. Ponyville looked straight out of a nuclear holocaust film. Windows were either boarded up or smashed in, shards of glass sprinkled on the street like snowflakes. Bones, bits of flesh, discarded weapons and medical supplies, and other items littered the roads. A couple zombies straggled about, one or two of them nibbling at what few bodies were left over from the initial attack. Pinkie was one of them. Her bouncy bright magenta hair hung from her body in tangled strands, her light pink skin pale and tattered. What fascinates me is A) how do people get really good stories like this from one picture? That is what I call talent. B) how are you not a book writer yet??
James Groccia hold on, I saw an oddly similar story just a few comments away from this one. The story was very similar up to Rainbow Dash’s part. I’m not saying you copied someone’s comment because there’s a continuation after that part and this is written better than the other comment I saw. It’s just that I don’t think it’s a coincidence that you both have the same scene where when Rainbow dash checked up on twilight and saw her eating spike and it only took her one slip from all the blood to get infected as well. It’s sad that this comment only has a few likes compared to the other. Well, still props for making this story. I think it’s well written 👌
I think you should add ponyville in the background but make it look like a ghost town that's been abandoned for years. And the other main 6 as zombies and a few other random ponies too. It would look so cool
Yeah, you try doing that, gacha kid. It took six hours alone for Blitz to draw two characters, and it would probably take half a week for her to draw something that extravagant with the attention to detail she uses.

I am still wondering, but for me it's pretty much looks like Twilight was trying to fly and escape, but didn't make it 'cause something grab and snap her butt off at this exact moment... or it could be that she lost her leg and wings before that and tried to run or defend herself using magic (also maybe she lost her horn at the same time, otherwise she would use teleportation), but couldn't run far and fast enough with those kind of injuries. In both cases it's looks like there were more than one attacking creatures, otherwise she would be able to defend herself or something (and considering multiple wounds in different places), i guess. Not sure, is this a bite on her neck - if it is, then she was probably finished because of it. Rarity is more complicated - there were probably only 1, maximum 2 attackers. Firstly she was bitten in the face and then lost her leg (or both at the same time, if there were 2 of them). Finally, she couldn't escape and lost her guts. She probably could be blindsided and not expecting that attack, or maybe she was stuck, or reached a dead end. Maybe she was tried to fight back by that leg and lost her? Idk. Also in both situations it's looks like that it wasn't a simple type of zombies, but something more fast and strong to be able to catch Twilight almost in the air, probably dodge her magic and get rid of a solid horn, and also ripped off a Rarity's leg like it was a single move...
I Personally love watching repaints because you get to see how much you've improved (Not saying you were bad before) I really think that your repaint videos all of one theme " Keeping practicing and you'll improve " Also I usual don't want gore stuff but I love watching you making it and I even once I finished the video I skip to the line art to the finished project. Yeah, you try doing that, gacha kid. It took six hours alone for Blitz to draw two characters, and it would probably take half a week for her to draw something that extravagant with the attention to detail she uses.

I am still wondering, but for me it's pretty much looks like Twilight was trying to fly and escape, but didn't make it 'cause something grab and snap her butt off at this exact moment... or it could be that she lost her leg and wings before that and tried to run or defend herself using magic (also maybe she lost her horn at the same time, otherwise she would use teleportation), but couldn't run far and fast enough with those kind of injuries. In both cases it's looks like there were more than one attacking creatures, otherwise she would be able to defend herself or something (and considering multiple wounds in different places), i guess. Not sure, is this a bite on her neck - if it is, then she was probably finished because of it.
Rarity is more complicated - there were probably only 1, maximum 2 attackers. Firstly she was bitten in the face and then lost her leg (or both at the same time, if there were 2 of them). Finally, she couldn't escape and lost her guts. She probably could be blindsided and not expecting that attack, or maybe she was stuck, or reached a dead end. Maybe she was tried to fight back by that leg and lost her? Idk.
Also in both situations it's looks like that it wasn't a simple type of zombies, but something more fast and strong to be able to catch Twilight almost in the air, probably dodge her magic and get rid of a solid horn, and also ripped off a Rarity's leg like it was a single move...
Maybe zombie pegasus for Twilight? I love your version, anyway.

Another favorite!! The improvement is amazing of course! The warmer lighting really helps make the gore look even grimier! The grittier the better!! I love the look of Twilight's face and wings and Rarity's gut hanging out. I also love how it looks like Twilight is so done with Rarity's whining about something 😂 beautiful work as always!!
