Loki Season 2: Marvel's First Perfect Finale

- As shaky as the MCU Disney Plus shows have been, there’s always been the problem of even the good shows not ending well. There has never been a finale to a Disney Plus Marvel show where that was both fantastic and the best episode of the season… until now.
I thinks it's impressive that Loki had about half the budget than other MCU movies and shows and somehow managed to be Miles better....
Yep, it's all in the writer's passion and skill. You can truly tell that they cared about this show and marvel as a whole. That is missing in many other shows either by writer's who don't understand their characters or by the studio messing with production.
They spend most on trash show like secret invasion and shehulk😂
@@wanfeel144 because they are trying to fix them without stepping on some toes and the studio is a mess.
@@aniheartsong5102 or writers who just dont have much of a creative mind and only writes cliche style stories.
@@wanfeel144Those shows feel like the definition of “where did the money go?!”
The fact that they called killing off timelines "pruning branches" and the timelines becoming the world TREE was brilliant
I just realized that Loki probably has the least fighting in a Marvel series, but has one of the best story telling and reveals. That's why the show was so good.
Agents of SHIELD had the best story and reveals. Until episode 5 of season 2, Loki was mostly just OK.
@@tabalugadragon3555nuh uh
@@tabalugadragon3555 Agents of SHIELD was phenomenally written. I haven't seen a better TV show.
the first season final fight was less of a fight than a physical extension of an argument. Its what made each swing so heavy, each impact so meaningful.
Netflix's Daredevil is still the GOAT among Marvel's TV shows in writing and choreography.
The final episode gave me chills and I’ve never smiled at the end of a finale of an MCU as much as this one
Smilling and crying because it is just that good!
for me it was just sad just bloddy sad
9:15 There was one reason that always made Loki be the right protagonist for the show: he represents Chaos, and the TVA represented Order and Stagnation (exactly the things Loki prevented in Norse mythology and why he "had to be" on the pantheon).
Loki: "I know the kind of god I'm supposed to be... for you... for all of you"
“I could have done it father, I could have done it, for you, for all of us!”
It is actually i know what kind of god I need to be” not supposed to be also it is not for you for all of you it’s for you for all of us
@@yopup7idk why people quote shit and get it wrong
i thought that loki was gonna say "for all time... always" after that
@@TheGoofiestGrapeI think that was the point that was kangs line and it feels disconnected from emotion where as lokis line makes what the tva and his new multiverse feel more impactful that he’s sacrificing him self for everyone else.
this finale left me at peace and as i was watching it i was scared i was gonna get that feeling of dying to see the next episode or season and not getting that closure for years to come but this finale left me happy and at peace with all of it, it was perfect
Exactly how I felt after Endgame, it was so fullfilled.
The Ending was *Glorious,* and very *Purposeful.*

What an absolute masterpiece of a finale for Loki S2! Glorious Purpose!
that ending actually made me tear up, the scenery the music and everything was so perfect. i havent cried during a marvel production in a LONG time.
i did not have a problem with loki figuring out that the timelines are infinite because i think he already knew that way before he even started sliping. he had a problem with the reveal that the loom was a failsafe. it was a red hearing that was only such because of a simple mistake on all party's parts except for he who remains. nobody noticed its true purpose till the end thus they were always destined to fail just like how he who remained planned it. just like how lokis path is alwase set to fail no matter what
Loved this season so much! Hope Marvel can reach these heights again in the future
That last moment of Tom Hiddleson's expression many fathers can deeply connect with. The knowledge that you choose to do not what you want, but what your people need and it's going to suck, but there isn't anyone else.
Hiddleston is now a Father, man... *Holding Back Tears* My Heart has Broken AGAIN FOR HIDDLES!!!
The only scene in superhero history that had me as shocked as Loki holding the multiverse together is the flash running back in time to save the justice league, it’s a scene so beautiful and unexpected, you can only sit there with your mouth wide open thinking how something like this could possibly exist and how far CGI has truly come
I'm hoping for Jonathan Major's Kangs to continue. It's really interesting and sets up a continued fight between Loki and Kang for control of time.
This final episode was really a surprise! Really happy that at the end the series was good!

I really love the first season of Loki and this one I thinked I like the first season more but the second season was one consistent storyline without filler and it was good. That ending was amazing
Tom Hiddleston had a talk where he implied that the Finale of LOKI would be his last incarnation of the character... I can't tell you how devastating that was to hear.
Wont he be in Deadpool 3?
A god of chaos taking control of the multiverse as the new timekeeper, is brilliant. Not as a desire, but because he knows only he can bear the burden
When Iggdrasil was shown at the end of Loki taking over his responsibility, I had the biggest smile on my face since Endgame' final fight.
Great redemption arc for Loki.
I’ll be honest while I really liked how the show ended it’s also got me questioning just what they’re doing with Kang beyond this point because while we know Marvel’s doing a slight bit of course correction and tabling Kang for Doom if Kang Dynasty and Secret Wars are still happening then they kinda have to address him somehow so what’s the plan? They just gonna reference and allude to his existence until then?
If they are really changing from Kang to Doom, Kang will be a possible threat from now on. The TVA main goal is to prevent the Multiversal War from happening, but Doom ends up being the catalyst for it
They know all Loki did was give them a fighting chance which is why the TVA is monitoring all Kang varients and waiting for one of them to find the TVA because they know war is coming. @@marcosrufino1939
@@marcosrufino1939 It could be a plot twist - the TVA is hunting Kang variants to prevent the multiverse war but then it's someone else who actually causes the multiverse war.
@Godspeed757They learn their mistake after Johnny Depp
@Godspeed757I think what they learned from the Depp situation was to not fire your cast before the court decides guilt. Yes, Majors’ job at Marvel is in danger, but he hasn’t lost it yet.
I think this is Loki realising what unconditional love is.
He loves his friends so much he is willing to take this weight on his shoulders so trillions of lives have a chance to survive.

This was absolutely AMAZING I do not watch any others although I liked Moon Knight the entire series gets a 10/10 by me. Love love love Loki and all the characters in this show
My biggest problem with this show / ending was, How did Loki and his illusion make have any power over time. Until I remembered the Season Finally of Adventure Time, "time is an illusion, that helps things make sense". And this to me makes the Loki show even better.
Its about goddamn time good job everyone who worked on this 👍
It beat expectations because expectations were so low. The Marvels ain't shit man Loki is whats going to save marvel (even tho it's not going anywhere anyway). Loki was amazing. Part of me wants a season 3 but I don't see a point coz it ended perfectly.
The thing is, this show is inherently tied to endgame directly unlike many of these other new stories and characters who feel much more disconnected. The same applies for GOTG3.
when 8 comments are made by the same dude💀
Haha right
probably a glitch
I have been waiting for the review for a long time.
It's Groundhog Day, but with larger scope in every way.
With a Glorious Purpose.
It is funny how Groundhog Day transformed itself into a classic over the years. And obvious in retrospect how it was a fit for comic books, with Loki the perfect fit in the genre.
It's a centuries long redemptive arc for Loki that played out over a decade of Marvel. Funny thing too is how much people *longed* for it with Loki.
Loki redeemed himself in a story we watched for decades, a story that lasted centuries in Loki time, and then his *sacrifice*, unlike Cap, or Iron Man, or Thor, isn't a momentary death, but an eternal sacrifice that saves *everything*.
Sucker Punch:
“The fifth thing is a mystery. It is the reason. It is the goal. It will be a deep sacrifice and a perfect victory. Only you can find it. And if you do, it will set you free.“
Moon Knight is underrated
i respect your opinion but they butchered the charachter
The difference between Loki and he who remains. Loki uses magic. He who remains uses tech.
Hey great video!
I think i have a fun idea for a video: what if the multiverse saga had the same structure as the infinity saga
I just love how Loki is encouraging Timely to get out to the platform. Just his delivery makes me crack up, because he’s probably been saying the same thing for centuries and now it’s just a touch above deadpan…
0:21 Not just a sympathizer, but a friend of theirs who gave them all the reason for what they did in addition to showing them as the victims
I loved how they played with Idealism vs “pragmatism” in this episode. Revealing that one is really just a lazy acceptance of the status quo while the other is much harder to achieve, but even more worth it in the end
It's maddening to see this level of storytelling coming out of the same studio that produced The Marvels...
Now I would like for Thor to get that kind of love please
You can start by spelling his name right.

HWR is entertaining and devious but High Evo is easily the top villain of this phase, no comp.
@@Luke_SkywaIker "Kang got his ass beat by ants and lost to Ant-Man in a 1v1"
Bruh, Kang SURVIVED that ant attack anyway and still pummeled Scott to the ground. An argument can be said that Kang probably still won anyway after getting transported to somewhere else that not even the Council of Kangs and the TVA are aware of.
I like, High Evolutionary in terms of his cruelty and rivalry with Rocket, but I got rather tired of his screaming throughout Vol. 3.
This loki story was just fantastic. His last line was the most powerful once you understand who loki was his journey and who he became.
From trying to take a throne for power and to be revered and enjoy the benifits he though came with it. To in the end taking a throne in the end for the burden it carries instead and smiles.
I will say one of the biggest risks they took was maybe one of the best parts of season 2. Obie. Bringing in the goonies actor as obie was brilliant. Every time he was on screen he stole the spotlight. He knew who his char was and didn't waver. It really felt like he was the adult version of his goonies char. Exspecially his enterence.
This tv show is a saving grace of MCU.
When I saw the universes dying and the people turning into strands and dust, I get actually terrified
Im so happy that I'm so not the only one calling this show "timey wimey" 😊
If it was me, I would move Kang Dynasty up to the start of Phase 6, finish off the story and then put someone else in place for Secret Wars like The Beyonder. I don't think Doom should be the main guy for because it's seem odd to avarge audiences if they bring him in with FF and then immediately make him the big bad of the saga.
So they would have to bring in the Beyonder in phase 5 has him help take down Kang but then have him create Battleworld and bring in people from across the multiverse to fight and have that result in incursions that end the universe leading into Secret Wars.
So Phase 6 would start with Kang Dynasty to wrap him up. Then do Avengers: Battleworld for the end of Phase 6 and start Phase 7 with Secret Wars which shouldn't be an Avengers movie as it would effect everything and everyone as the universe is rebooted.
I wish the MCU could make everything perfect but it's just not possible, it's crazy how even the 2nd phase had movies y'all didn't like but now it's really a big deal.
That's the problem with the internet age. It's totally okay to complain and write articles about Marvel losing their touch and their movies falling off or their shows not hitting the mark. The Marvels seems to be universally panned and Loki seems loved by 99% of the people I've heard or talked to. Two very different properties that don't cross over. But the "Marvel" banner means if one fails, the whole ship is sinking. Gotta fill the 24 hr news cycle somehow.
The whole passing the torch is still apparent. Perhaps Sylvie will take over the role of Loki within the timelines!
Loki my favorite marvel show and the ending was absolutely perfect

I never thought i will see a great Marvel show but I'm glad Loki prove me wrong. 🎉🎉🎉

This idea is how the flash show should’ve ended. Should’ve told a self contained story that looped back in like season 3 or 4 and not gone on for 9 seasons.
Great video! I really enjoyed it but I found the music to be distracting especially when you’re talking about the great score in Loki and the music playing is not reflective of that

Check out FX's Legion from a while back, it's not MCU and was given full freedom to be as insane as it wanted, and man is it bonkers. Before Loki, I would always rank it # 1. Now it may be a tie for me.
לוקי היה מטורף
The Loki finale is great
The one issue I have with it is that (at least to me) it's not entirely clear what this ending means for the entire MCU timeline. Does it change anything? What works differently now?
I don't know but I guess we'll see
Well we've gone from one pre-determined path for everything (and if someone veers from the path they are "deleted") to an open multiverse where multiple possibilites can co exist simultainiously.
which also means we could in theory see any of the previously killed or otherwise retired characters return as a variant from an alternaitve timeline, including Loki himself though it wouldn't be this Loki.
Well said
I don't want doom to be just a back plan plz 😮💨😔
I was confused by how everyone was back in their original first episode outfits when they were all essentially in new jobs.
What I love about the final episode and the main criticism i had about the first episode is that the problem isn't just solved instantly. In the first episode I thought the time slipping was amazing and presented a lot of cool factors of Loki's character how he thinks quickly and is actually really god damn smart, but i was a little disappointed that it just got resolved instantly. So when they brought it back I was already happy as happy can be but when they actually made Loki suffer for a dozen lifetimes of learning quantum physics I was engrossed. No way did i think that the Loki I knew have it in him to spend so much time learning. It showed massive character growth and also we see this Loki also learning the same lesson as thor in ragnorok "its not where or when its who" (i just realised this as I'm writing) what a series.
Marvel just needs to stick to either small contained stories with unforeseen consequences and outcomes, and big stakes stories that affect the world and the universe itself. I really liked kang for what he is and what he could've been in the MCU but they fuckin ruin it by making him lose to damn ants. The ruler of the multiverse brought down by smart ants.
If there was meant to be only one strand of time, the Sacred Timeline, why would the TVA need a temporal loom?
He who remains explained it was a fail safe. Aka: if we can’t maintain only having one timeline, the temporal loom will delete the excess with no humans necessary
