I always thought it would be cool to have an agent trait that gives either bonus to success or bonus to remaining undetected when performing actions against allies. That would make that agent a particularly good choice if you're trying to backstab.

I actually like this game, enemy factions actually self-preservation now, and they don't throw at you to smash them, and they are more clever, they ambush you more offend, and when you lost your men in a battle you don't lose the units.
Yeah the only thing i dont like are the factions, most of them have boring units and sassanids are too big, romans are too irritating to play and the huns are boring because you canr settle

So they sacked the capital then, but never permenantly settled there. I agree that it's a very strange phrasing (what is the definition of "eastern lands" here? Judea and Syria not eastern enough?) but I kinda see what they're getting at.
I think this is supposed to be biased and basically propaganda, i.e. "they might have taken some of our lands, but they never TRULY conquered it, and had to give it up again soon[TM] after."
Zakback First define conquer. I define conquer as annexing a region and settling it and influencing it for many years, more like 100s. Invading a region and holding it a couple of months is not conquering it. Rome conquered Levant and Egypt but not Mesopotamia.

hardest faction to fight as as slavs probably, in year 455 rn amd my war with them still continues. had 4600 vs 3900 siege battle against them and they won against me becouse they had too much horse archers, they defeated me like how Crassus was defeated at Carrhae
Gold mines are always fun. Thieves, bandits, counterfieters, corrupt mine attendants. In the wild west lots of destitute drunks starting fights over land claims while highwaymen just let other people dig it up for them :P Same often goes for silver too.

The Sassanids....Just finished a Himyar-campaign (legen) myself, the Sassanids & their minions was a constant pain. Especially when the ERE couldnt defend itself at all.
Those first guys you made peace with, I puppeted them after the 2nd battle, the first one I lost. ( I am new to Atilla and only have experience with Napoleon, Empire, and bits of Shogun 2, so I am used to my units having guns.)
I like the building diversity in Attila but the punishing effects they decided to add them are just crazy. You end up spending more time doing math trying to balance all the stupid penalties instead of playing and enjoying the game.
I never cared about penalties, I always base the building construction of what units it would give me, how much public order I would get, and how many provisions. Specially provisions, if you pay attention to that you would get a famine, and famine are a pain in the ass.
I am really happy that you start new series. May be after finishing this campaign you can start a new one on the game Rome Total War Emperor Edition. You have not done any of it in a while.

Yes! Sasanids empire and parthian empire and achaemenid empire are all iranian👍but from differrent families for example achaemenid and sassanid empires are from persian group(people) and ashkanian empire (parthian empire) is from parthian group. All 2 of them are from aryan nation

(no doom armies with 19 first cohort none sense 😂😆) . Just suggestion for next series challenge 😀😁. I said battles on medium because you can than have nice balanced armies...

I am playing a campaign as the Geats, I've taken a bunch of Frankish wives in my family tree... all the children underneath those wives are in the Frankish factions family now instead of mine. They married the men in my family tree, why are the children Frankish faction characters instead of expanding my family tree? They are showing on the tree but they are not Geat faction characters... what gives? The Frankish High King is a son of one of my character's bastard sons!!!
Just gifted 150k to the sas empire to try and butter them up to a military alliance as I own pretty much half the map and they are the other half. No dice, 341 points positive attitude, it doesn't matter, they won't ally :/

Rome 2 is a hell of a lot better than Attila. It was hot garbage at the beginning but all the updates did wonders for the game. Attila is still a steaming pile of shit sandwich.
Sassanid units are too boring and comparatively bad imo. Also, you force yourself to deal with PITA satrapies. Also, my god are the Eastern settlements annoying to defend as compared with other factions
They are one of my favorite factions. Their bathrobe warrior are one of my favorite in the game.

Steadfast, never break treaties and only go to war when others declare it on me or my allies ask me to (so i don't break my alliances)
