NAILA TARIQ Sure! Don’t use heat and if you can put your hair in a protective hairstyle like a side-braid. Try to use sulfate-free products on your hair and extend your hair washings (your hair needs that natural oily grease!) Also, before I go to bed, I apply a tiny bit of caster oil to the ends and just massage my head. You can use almost any oil that’s good for your hair though! And that’s it! I’ve permed my hair since a child and it was completely dead at the ends. It’s stayed the same length for two years now. Sarah is really a miracle worker!

NAILA TARIQ Not really. I just used a drugstore one I got for $6. Just make sure it says clearly that it is sulfate-free. Calia has a really good line, if you don’t know where to look.

I can relate to the menstrual cramps pain! Same symptoms, throwing up and in complete agony. Went to the gyno and she basically said birth control or pregnancy... and low and behold. I got pregnant and after I stopped breastfeeding for 2 and a half years it got a lot better! I’ve been taking iron supplements during the week of my period only and it helps me tremendously!!! Of course get your levels tested and consult with a doctor before but I have seen an incredible change!

Hi love! Ayurvedic tip for period cramps (which is usually related to aggravated Vata). No ice cold food or drinks. Anything ice cold in the body (through the digestive system) will aggravate Vata making any pain worse because cold is aggravating for Vata. So maybe stick to the warm or lukewarm teas for summer

Love the new lamp stand colour! Just one thing: even though I also prefer warm light, I would opt for white/cold light for this lamp. It would make the white in the amethist look more natural and crisp. And since it's just one tiny lamp in your apartment it wouldn't affect the ambiance I think.

A tip for anyone that wants their shampoo to go further and for some nice soothing scalp benefits. Add some msm powder to your shampoo. It will make it a lot more runny! But it lathers much much more! so you use less shampoo.
For a 300ml bottle. You can add anywhere from 5-30g
I'd reccomend doing a few trial runs tho before commiting to putting it in your shampoo.
I like to customize my shampoos and conditioners by adding things like msm and humectants. You can experiment and find out what works best for your hair by doing small batches of testers. It's fun!

My advice for pms cramps: There are a lot of medicinal plants out there. I would do research into those ones that are anti inflammatory or are known for helping with period cramps. You can then find a tincture online. I like Bear wallow herbs for their tinctures, but if I can find the plant organic for cheaper online I will make it myself or forage it near my home if possible.

Raspberry leaf tea has helped me too! I switched to a copper T to have hormone-free BC but it came w/ cramps, which I never really had before. Drinking this tea the few days before my period as well as during (especially before the cramps hit) HAS diminished them so much/made them go away completely when I keep on top of it! I believe I got the tip from you. Hehe.

  • @ajoyfullsound

Wow! The girls in our family have really bad cramps as well, and my grandma had them really bad when she was younger. I will have to start taking the raspberry leaf. We also have tried lots of things. And it seems like nothing ever works. 😩😫
Something that I have been taking is dolomite powder and that has helped me so much! I still get bad cramps but they are not nearly as bad as they used to be. My sister recently started taking it and it has helped her a lot as well. I usually take ibuprofen because I just can't stand dreading the pain every month, sometimes it doesn't work but most of the time it takes the edge off. I hate taking non natural pain relievers, but this is the one thing I make an exception for.

Have you tried crampbark tincture for your menstrual cramps? I have awful cramps with nausea as well, and crampbark is the only thing that really makes a Huge difference. I've used raspberry leaf tea as well, but I don't find it as effective.

Hi Sweetie! For period pain I highly recommend Livia, please research about it and give it a go! It is a little device with two electrodes that give you a tingly sensation with the Intensity you need in order to "distract" the pain receptors from the real pain.
I also have the worst cramps, faint, cold sweat and diarrhea... so I got this a couple of years ago and it is a life saver. Especially when the pain surprise me in the middle of the night on it's peak. With this device I don't suffer all that for the 20 or 30 minutes it takes for ibuprofen to work, and I don't have to be taking antinflamatories too often and preventively.
I hope it helps you, love you and take care Sarah! 😘😘

It really helps to soak some loose leaf raspberry leaf in water and then blend it in your smoothie. You can get a way higher dosage that way and it’s more potent that tea so you don’t have to drink so many cups. Really works for me!! :-)
