Great review. I especially appreciated the tip about tucking smaller water bottles behind the lower compression strap.

Made in the USA, all US sourced materials, by Americans! Yea! Got a T2 that’s about 10 or 12 years old. Thing gets beat and still looks new.

Kifaru makes nice stuff. I just unpacked some ultralight pullouts but now looking at their packs and even tents. Definitely will be buying from them again.

Great review and gear breakdown. I love my shape charge and also run the Sherman pocket. Also works great for western hunting when you are returning to the trailhead each night.

I've had a Door Gunner for a couple of years now. I liked it at first, but it's too small. I may upgrade to the Shape Charge + Sherman. Thanks for the in-depth review.

Awesome review. I hunt mostly PA and have 3 Kifaru packs. A DT2, Maduce and a 14R. I run a blaze orange Sherman pocket on the 14R and it works awesome. Keep doing these reviews.

This is the exact set up I run and love it.

good review. If anyone is looking at them I personally recommend the 44mag. I have one in kryptek. pretty much the do-it-all pack. not too big, not too small. and the belt system can detach to fit their other bags if you want an 8000ci pack or a small 2500ci pack, but don't wanna spend another full 500 or more on a new pack system.

It looks like the. Sherman pocket hangs below the main bag the way you have it rigged. If so, does that get in the way or bounce around causing instability?

I have my eye on the AplsOutdoorz Hybrid X, true meat hauler that’s the size of a day pack. Very good review and video on this Pack though man.

Wasn't even looking at packs, but now that you mention it 😂 I've done a bit of hiking and portaging and that pack seems to look fairly well built and laid out, very well laid out. The price is about that of a mid-high end pack for that specific style eg Arc'teryx or osprey etc. I'd take this pack hiking as long as it fit and carried weight well. Nice breakdown review 👍

I use mine for day trips,up to 3 days. I love it. I’ve been using for training rucks with 35-55 pounds and it’s a beast.

How do the shoulder straps feel? They look very thin compared to other bags.

That is an interesting tip for hanging from a tree. Is the sewing of the molle panel strong enough to last over time for hanging the pack loaded up from a tree like that?

      100% they are top notch

So overall from a tree stand perspective, how much better do you like this than the Tree House? Is it quieter, better design?
Just debating if it’ll be worth the extra $200 more than I’d pay for the Tree House.
What stay option did you go with?

Significantly more. It’s much more modular and has a larger main compartment which is exactly what I needed

Put in for the Wertheim National Wildlife Refuge hunt. It's combat hunting, but most people didn't sit dawn to dusk. There are some big deer in there, you just have to put in the work.

Have you packed any deer quarters / meat with this setup yet? I'm running the same setup this year and curious as to how well it will carry a load. Maybe even using a game back inside the sherman and compressing to the pack... One of my best spots is roughly 5 miles from the road and I only day hunt but would need to haul any deer/bear out.

Just a turkey so far so not a true field test :/ I'd say from the testing I have done with 45lbs plates and what not it can handle it but it will probably take two trips and won't be nearly as comfortable as a proper external frame.

Would it be to big for total archery challenge?

    • @KnightsoftheApex
      @KnightsoftheApex  3 роки тому +1

Nope, I plan on using it for TAC. You'll see everything from hip quivers to full frame packs at TAC so it's really user preference. I'll make a video for my 2021 setup soon.
