    Thanks a lot. Just what I needed. I've got to load and belly wrap lacquered steel pipes tomorrow using ratchets. Great video. I don't know if you're a driver trainer but you should be.

    Brilliant guide Paul. I did like the idea of a ratchet either side on a belly wrap to make sure it's nice and tight. Don't know why I didn't think of that myself. Definitely using it though. I do a couple of things slightly different, but like you say it's what suits the individual and as long as the load doesn't move then it's a job well done.

    Great vlog mate, wish I had it to watch when I started all of those year's ago. I was lucky that an old boy taught me how to rope and sheet, now the only dolly I know is the one I sleep next to every night! 😂 😂

    That's just how I used to do it, so your not the only one. Just a point about your Ratchet Strap bars, I was always told that the handle was that length so you couldn't put the strap under too much pressure, the same went for the chain dogs. May have changed now, I've been out of trucks for a good while.

      Hey buddy. I've never heard that before mate. I think I'd rather have straps as tight as possible though.

    When belly rapping and ur feeding the rachette part though to tension both sides do u just fix the rachette part to.the trailer leaving the strap hook un attached

    • @Witteringtrucker
      @Witteringtrucker  3 роки тому +1

      Yes bud. Leave about a foot between the hook and rachet. Then, as you start to tighten, tuck the hook between the trailer side and the ratchet.
