    We read news in the media that doom and gloom is coming and we just accept it, doom and gloom doesn’t always have to be coming, I’ve read numerous success stories of people that are pulling off tremendous gains of up to $250K within weeks in this crazy market and I just want to learn how to achieve such figures.

      Since the crash, I've been in the red. I’m playing the long term game, so I'm not too worried but Jim Cramer mentioned there are still a lot of great opportunities, though stocks has been down a lot. I also heard news of a guy that made $250k from about $110k since the crash and I would really look to know how to go about this.

      Brandon Johnson No WHEN MY son was in kindergarten, the dress code had a list if disgusting stores I wouldn't set foot in. These stores had cheap no quality clothing. I would wait for sales at BROOKS BROTHERS & GYMBOREE. My x ( thank you Tom CUMMINGS) wasn't paying child support. Ian looked fantastic, the clothes could then be resold.

      It's funny to me when I see people who think of "sales" as a way of saving money. Take a buy one get one free on two pairs of shoes. Say a pair of shoes is $75 dollars but if you buy it, you get another pair of shoes for free! But that's not the case the cost to make the shoes is 30 dollars. This can also apply to other brands of clothes. For the most part you're paying for the BRAND and not the quality, same applies to sunglasses. A $5 dollar pair of glasses vs a $500 pair of glasses only the $500 pair of glasses has the word "coach" or "Gucci" inscribed on it.

    Still can't passed the whole not buying clothes on sale part. Usually products from the "big fancy" stores have a 100-700% markup. Why would I pay full price when it isn't worth it? Makes no sense to me! Maybe a millionaire out there can elaborate?

    • @rogergeyer9851
      @rogergeyer9851 7 років тому +112

      As a millionaire who mostly got there by doing things like buying durable clothes at Walmart and garage sales and wearing them until they fell apart -- and saving and investing my money instead of wasting it -- I think their point on clothes is complete nonsense. Or on cars -- buying a good middle class Toyota and driving it until it literally wasn't worth it to fix it. Or living in a lower middle class apartment and never moving while I was working. Such things save a LOT of money over a career. Money which can be invested, and then earn income, which can be invested.
      These people are more of the "dress for success" and "virtue signaling" variety. As if saying "look at me" will get you promoted in ordinary jobs. Getting educated, being reliable and productive and consistent will get you FAR more in the real world, if you work for a good boss/company.
      This isn't just my opinion. I lived it.

    • @mlu007
      @mlu007 7 років тому +38

      You're right. I would never buy clothes off the rack at full price even if were a billionaire. They're usually marked up at least 100% if not more. Also, I would never buy a designer item at full price. You're not paying for the actual value of the item but rather the brand equity that the designer name is adding to the true value of the item. The only time you should pay clothes at full price is when you get them made bespoke by a tailor.

I’ve been broke and have also managed to built a 6-figure online business and money doesn’t make you smarter or happier, it just makes things easier 😉

      Ironically the numbers are staggering on the poorer side. While the rich do commit suicide quite often, a lot of it is due to emotional issues money can't solve, and pride, something money worsens. The poor commit suicide for the same, and/but different reasons. For every 1 "rich" person that commits suicide because Fee-Fee their poodle died, or an investment tanked, 300 "poor" people leave this life behind for a host of things ranging from obesity & poor diet, to healthcare bills, or a significant other broke up with them. And another statistic is how "poor" people do it. The "poor" are more prone to smoke, eat, and drink themselves to death, destroying themselves from the inside out. The very slow suicide rather than the quicker route is not much spoken of.

    • @thegazetteyt
      @thegazetteyt 7 років тому +10

      ALl of what you cited poor people dieting from are generally money related. If you have more money you can eat better, go to the dr more, relieve the stress more, etc. But rich people killing themselves because their dog died is something all different. There is a lack of a coping mechanism based on not haing to compromise comfort.
      The real question that would be asked is what is the subside rate of people who inherited their money vs are self made rich.

More like to succeed in life set short term goals and long term goals you need to get a degree find a career that your interested in do your research on how long it would take to get there see what the pay is, is it in high demand and etc. There's nothing wrong with buying clothes or anything on sale that's money you saved yourself from paying full price. In order to establish credit you have to start off small to establish credit over time you build your credit so creditors see your credit score credit worthy and apply to increase credit amount. I don't agree that hanging out with poor ppl its bad for you the rich are snobby, selfish I can go on and on. This video is dead on like Trumps way of thinking he's superior because he's rich when he was born into money he also misused funds for personal gain to build a business from the St. Jude foundation along with many more foundations that money ppl donate to charity is suppose to be used for that purpose. Congratulations, Daffy. You are a person with the right attitude and philosophy in life.!.. As the saying goes: "It's not how much you have, but how well you use the little that you have, that counts".. And: "Sometimes, less is more".
      Being frugal doesn't mean being cheap. A home-cooked meal is not only cheaper by volume, but obviously much more nutritious. I buy stuff on sale and take the time to do as many errands during the day without stressing myself. Because, "time is money", right.?

      Daffy 420 I want to ask you something that wasn't it be great if you have your feeling and money 💰, & my second question to you is that don't you want money and in my opinion would be absolutely yes . In my opinion don't feel sad about money that you don't have but think of your own world in which you have money and the same feeling that you have now for your family , If I was in your situation I would have probably joined a network marketing company in your country or city whatever it may be.

      Daffy 420, what a lovely outlook on life you have. I have a similar philosophy; life is not all about having what you want, but wanting what you have. I'm sure the likes of Alan Branson & Richard Lord Sir Sugar would heap scorn on my small 2bed flat, 14 year old car, charity shop furniture and sale rack clothes, but I love and feel content with all the things in my life, and I derive a huge amount of pleasure from sharing them with others. Everything I own was carefully saved for, paid for in full, and is lovingly cared for and appreciated. nothing has money owing on it. I consider myself one of the wealthiest people in the world; Because I don't count money, I count the love in my heart, the dreams in my pockets, the integrity of my soul, the kindness in my nature, my willingness to share, and all the strong loving friendships I have with the people in my life. I don't want or need lots & lots of money, because I already have something much better; It's enough. Most of all, I'm happy. Very very happy. Try finding a 'rich' person who's happy.?.. I rest my case.

      This point wasn't explained properly. Think about black Friday and people fighting just to buy something on sale. You'll never see a rich person lining up for hours just to buy something on sale. So yes, rich people will buy things on sale, but they're not going to go out of their way to do it. Also, poor people will buy things just because it's on sale, even though they don't need it. Great, you bought a $3000 flat screen tv on sale for $1000 on your credit card, but now you add $1000 to your debit and struggling to pay your rent.

      J H The word you're looking for is incentive - You will also notice I used the word 'generally'. I'm not saying ALL people who are born to poor families can't make it, but there are a lot more factors going against them than there are against folks from richer backgrounds. They tend to live in poorer areas with lower performing schools, where the kids have an almost anti-educational culture and teachers struggle to maintain discipline in the class, leading to them almost being unable to teach things even to those students who want to learn.
      These schools also have a lack of other rich folks to network with, leading to it being far harder to break into the higher earning echelons by simply knowing the right folks. How many times do you see barely competant folks hired straight into upper management simply because they went to school with the boss? Quite a number of times here in the UK at least.
      All these factors add up to make even the most hard working folks who follow all these 'tips' to the letter mostly unable to get rich if they are from the wrong background.

    That to us is ridiculous. If you know anything about marketing, you know the manipulation in “sales”. On the road to becoming financially successful you don’t want to throw your money away on overpriced clothing. You can most definitely find good quality clothing on sale, just be sure you’re not buying an item just because “it’s cheap and why not”. Only buy items you know 100% you will wear. Don’t buy too much, be sure of your style, be sure of what you need and what you will put to good use. The price doesn’t matter, whether it’s on sale or not. As long as you know you it’s of good quality, you like it, and can put it to good use.

I'm not saying DON'T shower BUT if you are doing it everyday (and you probably should shower everday if your getting very messy in your profession or deal with others in the medical field or work out and sweat everday) and your washing with a soap, your doing your body more harm then good. Health networks have suggested a few times a week minus the few exceptions above. Must of the video did being up good points though and even number 6 brought out great reasons, it's just you have to take the everything with a grain of salt so to speak.

Otherwise why blather on about being "rich"? I don't think any of the people on here pretending to be rich actually are lol. These are very valuable rules for anybody who wants to get rich. Unfortunately, most people who will watch this video will not really be able to apply the principles. We may not want to admit, but as Warren Buffett once said, investing is like any other profession-- it requires a certain level of expertise. No surprise that some people are losing a lot of money in the bear market, while others are making hundreds of thousands in profit. I just don't know how they do it. I have about $89k now to put in the market.

      Understanding personal finances and investing will most likely lead to greater financial independence. By being knowledgeable about money and investing, individuals can make informed decisions about how to save, spend, and invest their money. I know someone who made over $350k in this recession influenced market, but to the best of my knowledge, it was through a financial advisor.

    • @theresahv
      @theresahv Рік тому +2

      Yeah, financial advisors could make a lot of difference, particularly in a market such as this. Stocks are pretty unstable at the moment, but if you do the right math, you should be just fine. Bloomberg and other finance media have been recording cases of folks gaining over 250k just in a matter of weeks/couple months, so I think there are a lot of wealth transfer in this downtime if you know where to look. I have been using an FA since 2019, and I return at least $21k ROI, and this does not include capital gain.

    I come from a millionaire family and I'm well educated in the ways of the upper class.
    1) Poor people can't afford to go out and pay for most nights out or many other forms of entertainment. They watch TV or play video games because it's cheap entertainment.
    2) Living off the dollar menu is actually cheaper than eating healthy and requires zero effort after 12 hour workday.
    3) Snotty ass remark about how poor people can't afford Prada.
    4) They're fucking tired and many of them work 2 jobs or work nights.
    5) Rich people are into sports.
    6) Poor people are often exhausted from working 2 or 3 jobs and shower every other day instead of every day.
    7) Snotty ass remark.
    8) They can't afford to save money. They use their entire income on basic survival. That's why they are poor.
    9) You mean like buying fashionable clothes that aren't on sale?
    10) Some poor people can't afford an abortion, or can't morally do that.
    11) Poor people can't afford doctors, and if they can, they are not used to taking care of their bodies.
    12) Rent has to be paid or they become homeless.
    13) Because rich people are dicks.
    14) Poor people have shit jobs and don't have fucking time for "dreams". Stop telling people that they should get an art degree. They will still be poor.
    15) The economic climate is consistently unfair to the poor, and rely on teamwork to survive, so save your platitudes for rich people.

      I think what they are saying is that poor people buy clothes that are on sale when they don't need said clothes. The purpose of a sale is almost always to entice people to buy something they wouldn't normally consider. Many department stores use this strategy to psychologically manipulate their consumers. Usually, marking their original price up then discounting it to make it appears like it is on sale. Think about it. Have you noticed how Kohl's or Macy's or JC Penney (impending bankruptcy aside) always seem to be having a blowout sale? I agree when you need to buy something, by all means, don't pay more than necessary but don't buy something you don't need just because it is simply on sale.

You just said that you lack *most* of the habits that hold people back from achieving success, well who knows? Maybe you are very close to being successful. Figure out how you spend most of your time....You don't just become successful by avoiding bad habits. You also have to DO something that gets you there.

      I don't judge the people who stay poor their entire lives. I see it as a failure of public schooling that DOESN'T require home economy, civics or other necessary classes to succeed in life. Instead we have secondary languages and math that most will never use that are required. (I'm an engineer and I've never used more than basic algebra)

      Why is showing lack of empathy when firmly trying to illustrate a point , a bad thing ?
      When u get in trouble at school for example, you're labeled a bad kid , not a good kid. Then your parents have to sit you down and have that talk about "15 things good kids do that bad kids don't" , you think that talk is gonna be filled with empathy? No, because the child won't take the parent seriously. The parent will come off firm and maybe even say some harsh things. However , you have to ask yourself.... Is it true?
      We've been given harsh truths all our lives. Some people accept it because it's the truth , others disregard it because it's harsh. One characteristic limits your personal growth and the other helps you become a better person.
      Being empathic doesn't make you a "nice person" it just shows you cannot handle the truth.

    The problem with several of these is that they're not the CAUSE of being poor, they're the RESULT of being poor. "Poor people have no money saved." No, they don't, because they're poor. That's the very essence of being poor. Sure, there are people who have no money saved because they waste money, but those people aren't really poor, they're just wasteful. If someone is truly poor, they don't have money saved BECAUSE THEY DON'T HAVE MONEY TO SAVE. Same with eating fast food and only buying clothes on sale. You can't exactly afford to shop at Whole Foods and wear high-dollar fashions if you simply don't have the money to do so.

    • @ambericschairer3627
      @ambericschairer3627 6 років тому +3

      No one spends PRECISELY what they make. Putting the money you don't spend on bills into a savings account is a great habit to build even if sometimes that extra money is only a dollar. Just the act of not buying that pack of gum at the store can make the difference, because that is making an effort toward thinking the future goals rather then spending whatever extra on the frivolous. Eating fast food is actually more expensive then cooking. Trust me, beans rice, and vegetables bought in bulk are far cheaper then paying someone to give you a coronary. Instead of buying cheap clothes on sale, save up and buy quality clothes, they will last longer, and wear better. Sure buy some t-shirts and stuff for around the house and messy work, but invest in a good suit or two, good shoes that will last you 10 years or more instead of one. But I do agree that there are food deserts in this country which can make it hard to eat right, that figuring out what are quality clothing vs simply overpriced fads can be very difficult, especially if you are working long hours for little pay. Also being poor is a mind set. I work for a multi millionaire who has all these bad habits and she feels poor. She spends ten times the amount of money I do, yet I feel rich, and she feels destitute. Technically I live on a very low income, yet I have a beautiful home, a car that is in good maintenance and paid for and I travel to the places I dream about. I am definitely rich no matter what the census bureau says!

      True enough! But is a good job or does it just continue the poverty cycle? LOL now I am arguing the other side! I don't know why I commented, because I'm sure I don't like the pretentious blaming the victim of poverty for the crime of being poor. It isn't all just poor decision making like this video tries to suggest. I guess I also don't like people thinking "i'm poor and therefore I'm a victim without options."

    • @TheXfeldt
      @TheXfeldt 6 років тому

      Well, fast food at least is not cheap. I don't know how it works at your place, but where I live it is much cheaper to cook your self. Might as well cook healthy if you are at it. We really dont have much money right now, but eating healthy is mostly a question of investing time and not so much of money. At least if you compare it to fast food, real good food can be expencive ofcause.

      Fast food is ridiculously expensive. It's like 10 times as much as if you bought the ingredients at the grocery store and made it yourself. I've never been rich enough to eat fast food every day.

    If only poor people like sports, why are there $2000 courtside seats, valet parking and box seats that only the rich can afford? Most people that go to professional sporting events have the expendable income to do so.

    • @TheRosa63
      @TheRosa63 7 років тому +3

      that doesn't tell one if they did go when they were poor and spent a 100 dollars a ticket for crappy seats but rather saved and invested early on. not that there is any guarantee if you invest you will get rich, the stock market is really just legalized gambling.

Got all my money back within 6 years, have owned it 8 years. Probably will pass it on to my children. My worst real estate mistakes were selling and layer the buyer had huge gains not me.
