This was right around the time (like within a few weeks, maybe) when Carl Wilson left the group for a year or so, saying he was frustrated at the group's unwillingness to rehearse. I'm paraphrasing here, but he said he would come back when the Beach Boys were willing to treat 1981 with the same importance as they did 1961. He was back by the spring of 1982. In the meantime, he embarked on a solo tour to promote his first solo album.
Rest In Peace Dennis and Carl . Miss you guys.
"IT JUST DOESN'T GET ANY BETTER THAN THIS"❣️
Dennis was such a strong drummer! Holy crap. 😎

Carl was probably right, lol. Other than him and Bruce Johnston, not all the band had the best work ethic.
Ed Carter is FEELING IT
Denny is Rockin’ on this!
Do you have Catch a Wave and Hawaii from this date and Tv show?
Thanks again for a great new video!
Mike Meros…RIP
This performance is without Brian and I reckon it's Bruce on piano.
(As Tom Clark replied, it's Mike Meros on organ)
