Did you get the 70$ version or the dev board? I don’t want to solder but not sure if they’re shipping the complete version with vibration and onboard storage yet.
I pre-ordered already 😂 can’t wait to receive mine, I have the Rabbit R1 and use it constantly but the record my meeting function seems to work really good for the first maybe 10 minutes but then misses things, hopefully this will remedy that. Plus I’m just an AI fanboy who loves gadgets!!!
These devices are just creepy. Why would anyone willingly record everything and hand it over to the internet - and worse, record everything with people you interact with and without their permission. There are so many privacy problems with this and yet people walk blindly into this, mouth agape. No. Just no!
I do agree with you, personally I only ever use the device during work meetings these days and get full permission from all parties before doing so. In terms of handing everything off to the internet, sure that’s scary but I have actually been working on a way to handle almost all of it on device now so all your data is yours, it’s a cool concept and when used responsibly is mega useful for some people
@raagelejekunst that’s a good question, the main reason to wait right now would be the on board memory so you don’t HAVE to have it connected to your phone 24/7 but the new version is still a good few months away, if you can wait, I would
I think you may have misunderstood the idea of this product. It’s not ‘responding’ per say it CAN take up to 30 seconds for your transcriptions to show up in app but 9/10 you won’t be looking at the app so won’t notice this happening. This isn’t built as a chatGPT wrapper to ask questions, its purpose is to simply listen and save important information throughout the day.
@@bytesizeclu considering the hardware is just the microphone and Bluetooth module I imagine so long as SOME app integrates with it it'll always work! It's pretty exciting. I'm going to buy the release kit this weekend. I don't know enough to mess around with the dev kit
You could think of it like that yes! Or for people who have longer meeting and need a quick summary and actionable points to send to all participants (this is how I use it personally) it’s a lot easier and less time consuming that taking notes and doing all this manually
No one gonna gaslight me no more haha
Haha love it! thats a great use case!
Does it work well under your shirt?
I want to know this too :)
Got mine too and live it! Great review Robert!
Thank you so much! It’s a pretty amazing little thing, are you planning on getting Friend 2?
@@bytesizeclu Im still playing with the dev one. But yes, most likely!
Even if it’s not perfect buying it invests in its improvement I guess and motivation for the developers
Exactly this!
just got mine in the mail yesterday very cool so far!!
Did they notify you before it was shipped or no
@gnimensky

@D_Z_AZ they aren’t done with the firmware for the new board with vibrations and on board storage so I would recommend waiting a few months!

These kind of devices are the future. Tx for review.
They really are! No worries glad you enjoyed the video

amazing product
It really is!
I am 75 years from Denmark, but I am still curious. Is this really something or is it a toy? Can it speak danish
It’s really something! I am very impressed by it, and yes it can speak danish a long as you set the language in the app settings
Shall I buy the first edition ore shall I wait for the new edition?

@@bytesizeclu it always makes me happy to see a content creator who's so willing to help. thank you!!
So it takes 30s to respond??
And you claim one wouldn't need it any faster?! 😵💫

Hopefully the open nature of this means it won't end up as awful as rabbit r1
Oh it’s not don’t worry!

That’s awesome man and exactly, as long as people are integrating into apps ( I am working on this myself ) I see a bright future for this
@@bytesizeclu I will subscribe to you and see what you come up with! Best luck with it.
Robert what is up with your eyes bud? I literally got dizzy in the first 15 seconds.
Honest and sincere question ❤
It’s a medical condition called nystagmus, had it since birth sadly and nothing I can do about it
@@bytesizeclu hey that's neat.. Thanks for the response and best of luck with everything! ♥️
So basically it's a recording device for forgetful people..
