God is "ever-changing" is probably one of the worst theological positions to hold. What's to stop God from changing back? "As God, I became cool with homosexual marriage but y'all took this too far. Now ALL homosexuality is a sin again!" I say that in jest but it is the reality of saying God is ever-changing, there is no solid truth in that god and no way that we can rely on his faithfulness, he could just as easily change back to the "Levitical" God as he could remain the "Progressive" God.

Jesus didn't just hange around with 12 guys. He had 500 disciples both men and women. The bible even names a number of women that followed Jesus and funded His ministry.

Jesus' bride is His church whom He went to the cross for, and therefore He had no reason or purpose for marrying some women(and certainly no man). If someone doesn't understand that, they have no business calling themselves a pastor.

I often question this myself. So to be more like Jesus should those with these preferences also take a marriage with the church, instead of taking on wives? Like is God's purpose for those with the romantic and physical attachment for their same gender to simply live a life that is without romantic and physical gift of a spouse?

@@redhood5264God created man in his image and a woman in a man’s image. When man and woman come together we procreate. All throughout the book of Genesis God told his people to “be fruitful and multiply”. His word is very clear that homosexuality is a sin because it is an abomination for his design between man and woman. The devil creates these same sex desires through lust. He cannot create what a God has already made so he twist and perverts everything. The sin is lust that is a domino effect of other things that can happen to Gods people. That is why we get delivered by the power of Jesus and after deliverance also continue to follow God by obeying his word and completely submitting to his will for us.

When it comes to the point of Jesus never saying anything about homosexuality, I think the point is that the disciples never put it in their books because their books were primarily wrote the the Jews. It was well before Peter was in the vision where he was told to get up, kill and eat. It was well before the apostle Paul was called to the gentiles. And the Jews understood that homosexuality was sin, so why would they mention it? There was no need to because the Jews understood that that was sin. What you are saying makes a lot of sense. Jesus also said, “Do not think that I have come to abolish the Law or the Prophets; I have not come to abolish them but to fulfill them" (Matthew 5:17). Jesus was speaking to people that assumed to already know the Jewish law, so as you said, if homosexuality has already been established as a sin, then there was no real reason for him to go in that much depth into it. I think also the homosexuality is a lot clearer to define compare to something like adultery, another reason why Jesus may not have gotten into more depth.

Whatever your method is of fulfilling it, avoid it at all costs. What you need is deliverance from this demonic attachment. Begin to pray for the Lord to grow His anger and pure hatred for evil in your heart(proverb8:13, proverbs9:10-11). But honestly you need deliverance from this perverted spirit. Start telling yourself, NO EXCUSES! And when you fail, immediately repent and search your heart. Forgive me Lord for unbelief, for rebellion , for murder, for adultery, for pornography, for the evil desires of my heart. I surrender my will to you. HELP ME! PSALM 54 BEFORE YOU GO TO SLEEP. WHEN YOU WAKE UP.
Start proffessing the word of God out loud and His promises from it. Simple things like, Lord you said if I submit myself to you and resist the devil, he'll flee from me. I'm calling on you. I believe. I believe. I believe. Increase my faith, out loud. Get thou behind me satan, the Lord Jesus Christ rebuke you! And now, understand this as well. If you're close to your wife, she also is experiencing what you. Are so you need to be brutally honest if that is possible with her and her with you, lay it at the Lord's feet (phillipeans 4:6-7) and have peace.
Pray together, genuinely. Openly, what's really on your hearts. God bless you
Jesus has got this. But we must take self accountability. A thought is a thought, how we react is on us. And Christ can and will do anything to help us. Love ya brother

Prayer, Reading the Word of God, Fasting. Being in Worship, in and out of Church helps tremendously. The point is not just spending time with God, but constantly being in His presence. How so? We can't make ourselves clean. But, He can. It's a process. It takes longer for some more than others. The dirtier something is, the longer and harder you scrub to clean it. And all that pressure applied causes pain, which is why God takes His time with some more than others since we all have different ways of dealing with that pain. Our prerequisite for the change is faith, but to see it fulfilled requires perseverance. God doesn't force us, so we make the decision of choosing to seek Him so that we receive and inherit His blessings. To seek. It's action taken. And the list I mentioned at the start are the way. It worked for me. I used to be gay, but now I'm free. I'm now a Christian Pastor. Not exactly the same as lust, but homosexuality is worse and also carries the former. God is real, change is real. What I discovered within most Christians is the belief that God will one day change them. And, yes, but He won't if we don't seek that change. Why? Simple. Free will. He won't force it on you. The Bible mentions about not satisfying the carnal desires, but that's in the meantime until God finishes cleaning you from within (all the advice above from others helps in restraintuntil you're free of it). It's not meant to be a lifetime of self-supression. At one point, you're meant to be free of the jail cell. No more urges, no more of the want. And it's the same for any sin or addiction. It's spiritual deliverance. Our fight is not against flesh and blood, so how are you suppose to fight it? Whatever the sin, how? In the Spirit. Through God, thus the reason we ought to seek Him. God bless you! Even if it gets hard, press on, keep up the fight, maintain the faith. "Fight the good fight of faith, lay hold on eternal life, to which you were also called and have confessed the good confession in the presence of many witnesses." (1 Timothy 6:12).

The old law is called the Mitzvah. The mitzvah was made up of three types of laws: Moral, Liturgical, and Judicial. The 10 commandments stand alone. The mitzvah was established as the code for the old covenant, the the old covenant was mainly that a Messiah would come from the bloodline of Abraham and that land would be given to Abraham and his descendants if they remained faithful to the Lord. The old covenant was reliant on the sacrifice of lambs with genuine faith and piety of the Lord in exchange for the maintenance of the covenant. The sacrifice would be done on the Tabernacle. The Tabernacle spent time in many places, the book of numbers had it in a tent that would be moved around when the Israelites traveled, and when they took over the promised land it remained in Jerusalem. Eventually the 1st temple would be erected and the Tabernacle was moved into it. During the 2nd temple period (The time when Jesus was alive), the temple was again the house of the Tabernacle. As I said before the purpose of animal sacrifice was to stay in communion and receive the forgiveness of God, but no sacrifice would be worth infinite forgiveness from God. When Christ Jesus died on the cross he was the last sacrifice, because of his divine nature and his sinless human nature, he was worth infinite amount of sacrifice. If there was no need for another sacrifice, then we do not need to follow the liturgical or judicial law linked to the sacrificial style covenant. Thus christians do not follow the Judicial or Liturgical laws, and only moral laws, they include: all sexual sins, theft, lying, murder, blasphemy, hatred, idol worship, and anything that goes against the 10 commandments with the exception of the 4th because it only applied to the Jews.

I can't recommend any UA-cam channels, but the Bible is clear on this topic. That God, through His Holy Spirit, does call both men and women to be ministers, including to be pastors. For it isn't the glass being used the focus, but He who fills it with His glory and power, as it's written: "There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither slave nor free, there is neither male nor female; for you are all one in Christ Jesus." (Galatians 3:28).
Here's also a list of women in the Bible who had a ministerial calling. Just because there is a "progressive," feminist ideology movement today (that's obviously wrong), it doesn't discredit a woman's calling. We need to discern one from the other, God bless you!

Jesus didn't need to say anything about homosexuality- he lived in a context in which people knew the mosaic law (he preached in synagogues after all)- the fact that he never mentioned it must mean that he accepted that law- if it were a wicked law-THEN he might have said something.

John 14:6 Jesus said to him, "I am the way, and the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.

Such stern beliefs as are usually represented in mainstream Christianity has never made me feel Gods love and is not a very welcoming way of thinking, this is my experience anyway. I’m a heretic myself being a universalist and panentheist person who follows Christ.

Who is ordaining these kind of ""pastors""???? So sad to hear how they're letting their hurt affect their view on God and His Word, we must pray for them so they can jave their eyes opened and they repent, and for the people that attend their "churches", so they can find the Truth before it's too late!!!

Purity Culture can be very harmful for sure, but the ethos (of saving oneself and setting boundaries) that seemed to inspire the movement is good. We just need to be balanced in how we defend biblical standards.

The whole Bible is not even about Jesus, all the words written by everyone who wrote books, Acts, Corinthians, Galatians, Ephesians, Colossians and Philippians and all other books, Jesus said some words for 3 years that is STILL applicable and important, but so did Paul and Peter and the second John, what they said mattered as well because JESUS appointed Paul to preach on his way to Damascus... Some people really don't know the Bible.
