👏 👏 👏 As an independent missionary serving here in Japan (who also happens to like video) this entire series has been excellently done and it is a reminder to me not to lose the focus of why I am here!
I am a Canadian who is half Japanese. I was born in Japan. My mother was Japanese and my father was English. My mother was a Christian. Unfortunately she never allowed herself to be completely given over to Christ. She despised her father. She was prejudiced towards Koreans and never felt any guilt about what Japan did in the Second World War. She is Heaven now but she could have done more while alive here.
@@DuzzinsSama depends on your definition of success. Reaching out to the Japanese is definitely a team effort and I am happy for many other co laborers. I’ve been blessed to see God at work, as I hear and see the testimonies of some who have come to Christ, YES. In my experience, it takes multiple years between when a Japanese first encounters Christianity, to when they come to Christ for themselves. While I haven’t personally had the opportunity to personally pray with a Japanese person to lead them to Christ or baptize one, I have done what I can to sow seed. As Paul says, “ I plant, Apollos waters, but God brings the increase”.

Something that I notice is that the beauty in those who have suffered isn't in the suffering itself, but rather in the healing from it. A person who sins is not beautiful because of their sin, but one who has been healed from their sin--that is beautiful. No one finds a wound beautiful, but a scar can be.
I think it also speaks of hope. That life isn't measured by the suffering and tribulations that are yet to come, but by the happiness and meaning you can muster the courage to risk everything for.
@@ISLAM_IS_THE_RIGHT_PATH1 Muhammad received the revelations from a demon, that forced him to read even though Muhammad could not read, and as this was happening Muhammad was convulsing and foaming at the mouth, and screeching like a camel. That is how the quran was conceived. It is a satanic, twisted version of the Gospel, most likely given to Muhammad by satan himself. If anyone else does not believe what I said, look it up yourself. The Bible gave a warning of this: Galatians 1:8 But even if we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel to you than what we have preached to you, let him be accursed.
I stay in China, and I do the work of God here. However, the Chinese converts I’ve met (2 in 3 Christians) met Christ when they went abroad. Why am I sharing this? You might feel you need to be in Japan to save the Japanese, but if you look around you, in your schools, there are a lot of these oriental souls. Preach to them, share the gospel with them. They are often the vessels that will return to their own people and share this gospel with them. That is what noticed about the Chinese souls who preach and serve God here, most had time abroad got saved there, returned and are doing a lot for God here.

Yeah but we know the creator of beauty: evolution. We have evidence that this non-intelligent process would cause us to find things beautiful if it improved our ability to live, thrive, and reproduce. So we're descendants of those who considered waterfalls beautiful because those people survived/thrived/reproduced better than those who had no instinct of beauty (or whose idea of beauty was something non-beneficial to us). Note that we shouldn't confuse beauty with our fascinations of more dangerous things. We may find it fascinating to observe how people fail or how bears act because to observe these things results in knowing how they work, which improves our fitness. Meanwhile we have no evidence of any gods.
The culture does seem to be so very artistic. The paintings, the classic clothing, the classic architecture, etc. Even in modern times, basic things like the way products are wrapped become something beautiful. I love that about Japan. Even their written language is visually beautiful, even if you can't read it. Prayers for Ayaka! She seems like such a lovely lady.
As an East Asian myself we know that what you see in Japanese and Korean culture, genetics, and language is majority Chinese /mongol influenced. Only some things are originally Japanese and Korean but even then, sushi came from Indonesia, geishas is originally Korean called kisaeng, so let’s know what is not Japanese culture first before we go credititng
@@DianaHollyPark Chinese gigacope, nbdy cares where something originated. China doesn't make nearly as much animated nor drawn art, nor did Indonesia popularize Sushi. "Original" culture is semantically ambiguous, how far back in time do u go? Also Mongols have nothing in common with you kek, their language and culture is way different
@@DianaHollyParkwell Geishas originate in Japan actually, as the first ones were men, not women. They originated in the brothels of the Edo period, functioning as entertainers for the patrons before they saw the prostitutes and courtesans. While Kisaeng did have a similar role, they were purely for the entertainment of the upper classes, as well were enslaved from the lowest castes. The role of the Kisaeng is more similar to that of the Tayū and Oiran, since they had to be skilled in almost everything from music to poetry. As for Sushi, its origins are in China, not Indonesia. Though I can be argued that it has influences from the Mekong River Delta region, as recorded during the Han dynasty.

I've never been to Japan, but my son and I have researched Japan for years, and one day hope to visit. It's a beautiful people and this video brought so much to light. I loved the words of the artist about beauty coming out of brokeness. That is the gospel in a nutshell. I will pray for the people of Japan.
What about Mississippi, Alabama, Louisiana, West Virginia, with all their obesity, diabetes, opioid addition . . . and Afghanistan, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Indonesian, Malaysia? You despise these places? After all, they absolutely LOVE American/Western culture: guns, flashy cars, electronics, devices . . .
Japan is a beautiful country with amazing people. Their kindness and care is rare, as is their innocence. They've built a truly remarkable society and culture. I consider myself privileged to live amongst them. They are also deeply spiritual and overall deeply connected with nature, which reflects in their reverence of the many kami they see in the world around them. A friend of mine once told me about a visit she made to Paris. She said she could feel the kami all around her in the beautiful buildings and places of worship, but was sad to see the Parisians so blind to their rich presence. Her comments reflect a sentiment I've heard from many Japanese who have travelled to the west. That westerners seem oblivious and blind to the spiritual world all around them.
These Japan videos are so well made, well shot, yet the most beautiful aspect is the message it conveys and reveals, especially for outsiders who love Japan and looking into Japan. Shedding a light into the lives and society there, all while bookending the video with hope!

@@Durray13 It can definitely be a difficult concept to grasp, so I don't blame you not understanding, I didn't either for a long time. There is something called the Holy Trinity, which is Jesus, God, and the Holy Spirit. Jesus is God, and God is Jesus in human form, but God and Jesus are also separate, and both have the Holy Spirit in them. Jesus has all of the powers of God, but can live, feel emotions, and die. He was fully divine, and also fully human, in other words, perfect. God created Jesus to be a messenger to humanity, that He has taken on the debt of all of our past, present, and future sin. A lot of people back then didn't think that Jesus was God either, and they killed Him for it, so you're not alone in not believing in that, just don't kill anyone over it lol I hope this helped to explain it! The main harm and danger caused by the man-made Bible and the man-made Quran is, that even though they contain man-made wisdom, they also contain man-made errors that are claimed to be the word of their god. By that, they expect the reality to adjust to those errors and not vice versa. Thats very harmful, especially as those man-made and “godly claimed” errors include topics like e.g. astronomy, evolution, biology and homosexuality.

It's amazing how anime is so relatable. As a Christian you would be surprised how it can relate to the bible and biblical teachings. We have a Jesus and Anime Group at our church with almost 50 people! It's fascinating to me! It saddens me to see the trauma that Japan has been through, ironically enough, Anime has blessed me in so many ways. Hopefully with my group or other avenue, people can spread the love of God. Whether through Anime or other art.

While there can be some similarities at times, most of the time I tend to see "broken wisdom" where there's a view of how the world works that seems close to being true, but something is fundamentally off. AoT is a show that has an amazing premise and story, but the fundamental message that it's trying to convey isn't a good way to look at the world. There is little hope in that view. Oftentimes in anime like AoT, characters will burden themselves with sin for those they care about. It goes to show the desire to be saved but not understanding how. Kinda just putting my thoughts down so if something I said doesn't make sense, I apologize.
I’m not sure why this series crossed my path but I’m so glad it has. Last year or the year before the Lord gave me a word for Japan when I asked (I’m American) so I’m going to go back and revisit what He said. Thanks for making this…looking forward to catching up on the others. God bless you!

Spanish missionary Francis Xavier took Christ to the Japanese at Kagoshima in 1549. Said, "The people whom we have met so far, are the best who have as yet been discovered, and it seems to me that we shall never find among heathens another race to equal the Japanese. … They are a people of very good will, very sociable and very desirous of knowledge; they are very fond of hearing about things of God, chiefly when they understand them."

My deep burning love for anime, manga, and technology have always grounded me in Japan even though I was close to living there once upon a time. Japan have scars that run deep but they channel that into something beautiful through art and storytelling. They understand what it means through hardships its can make one stronger and strong willed. They understand the beauty in brokenness but they have yet to embrace the One who loves the broken because He sees value in them. Japan is embroiled in their own religions and myths because they are trying to seek something higher than themselves. The gospel has been planted in this country but it is not growing as much because of their traditions and history, past and future hurts they can't seem to let go.
I went back to watching anime and I realized the amount of suffering in these animes, but they were always trying to find something to fill the gap of loss and suffering. If it was revenge, righteousness, love, protection and the more I see this in anime I realize the missing piece in these stories is Jesus. Pray that Jesus can pour his spirit on these people's lives in Japan.

Let’s just hope that Japan doesn’t fall for this trap. They‘re mostly shintoist, buddhist and even confucianist in a lot of ways. No need for christianity there.
Ayaka’s testimony and perspective on her artistry made tears well up in my eyes. The way she was able to see the beauty through the brokenness through Christ was heartwarming. Also loved her insights regarding her art. So profound.
just seen your channel for the first time, I love the cinematography it really made me feel like I was there. I actually want to go to japan and seeing people discuss Christianity there is really heartwarming and I know eventually more people will come to christ not just in japan but worldwide.
For anyone who took this video seriously, I highly recommend Shusaku Endo's book Silence. A Christian-Japanese perspective on the issue is always useful. There's a movie as well but I've only read the book. It will better help you all understand why Christianity hasn't worked in Japan. For solutions to all the problems the Japanese face, I suggest taking a look at its geographical positioning as well as the lasting impact of Bushido culture on Japan's social norms. Research done by Yamagishi Toshio dives deep into this and seeks actual solutions.
Crush egos, point out hypocrisy, and point out the lack of humanity in people, and then show them the secular sources on why Japan is having a population decline, as well as the threats of China, North Korea, and Russia, and they will learn their lesson.

What a beautiful video! My Grandfather served in the tail-end of WWII (during recovery efforts) and fell in love with the Japanese people. He wanted to be a missionary in Japan a few years later, but the mission board felt it would be too dangerous. His family went to South Korea instead.
Meanwhile, there's me who has a strong desire to evangelize Northern Europe I'll have to train this whole year Also, I can use Vinland Saga Manga to promote Christianity there
Yet Cnut wanted to create heaven on earth before Jesus's return, from what I have seen. That is one of the major mistakes most Christians believe in. Jesus doesn't come to a world that is perfect; he comes to a world to take his Bride home in the Rapture before a period of destruction begins with the Antichrist and the Jews go through one last test for God, where they will repent and call for Jesus to come back. He will then come back with his bride to destroy the Antichrist and False Prophet, seal the Devil away and set up heaven on earth for a thousand years before the Devil is loosed to tempt one last time before the Heavens and the Earth are destroyed by God and the Devil is thrown into the Lake of Fire where the Antichrist and False Prophet are. The dead will then resurrect for the Great White Throne of Judgement, where they will be judged before being thrown into the Lake of Fire. Then after all that, God creates a new heaven and new earth with New Jerusalem within it. It's amazing how you brought up Vinland Saga, on the count of both that and Japan had a lot of things in common. The major being that both, including those being persecuted during the Sakoku Policy, were Roman Catholics who were uneducated about the scriptures and relied only on tradition. I am a True Born Again Bible-Believing Christian who TRUSTS wholeheartedly in the shed blood of Jesus Christ that washes away all my sins and STAND in the Gospel of 1 Corinthians 15:1-4 KJV, and I do show sympathy on those who are uneducated and unaware that just because they claim to be Christian, that does not mean that they truly are. Say that there are 40% of Christians in a country, only 6-7% are the real Macoy. As I have given you of the Gospel, that is how you can tell that you are that 6-7%, but it all must come from the understanding of the heart, your soul, your entire being. I hope this is very helpful to you.
although that could be a good idea try to use as an relational example of Christianity in anime and instead use scripture as the primary source of evidence
My Grandmother was born in Japan 1925 to a Christian family. She was a born-again Christian. She had already experienced much loss before she married and moved to America in 1952. Her father had died. Her sister died in Toyko firebombings. Her brother died. Her fiance died in WWII. She very much appreciated Japanese missionaries who were in American preaching services in her first language. We had a bilingual memorial service.
Wow, your grandmother sounds like she was incredibly strong and resilient, despite facing so much loss and hardship. It's amazing how faith can provide comfort and support during times of struggle. In times like these, I'm reminded of Psalm 23:4, which says, "Even though I walk through the darkest valley, I will fear no evil, for you are with me; your rod and your staff, they comfort me." May her memory be a blessing, and may her faith continue to inspire and guide you.
Thanks, very nicely done. I’m living in Osaka and work with missionaries quite often. One thing I believe is very important to this brokenness theme is to make sure everyone we witness to in Japan understand the world we see today is not the world God originally made, and is a temporary condition of our world. God will restore perfection, as it was before the enemy death came. We need to point them first to Genesis so they can understand where this brokenness came from, then show them God sent His son to take the penalty for our sin. The perfect Judge and perfect love came together at the cross. We must never compromise with the philosophies of this age from the god of this world. I’m talking about evolution and Big Bang which by necessity place death before sin, meaning it’s Gods fault, not our fault ! That is what I teach quite often so Japanese can be rooted and grounded properly. Thanks and God bless !
I absolutely loved this series. I was hoping to find videos just like this after not looking it up for a while, but never expected such a high quality production! I’m learning Japanese, and hope to better learn how to show love to and share the gospel with Japanese college students and others in my area.
I once read that one of the hardest things about preaching in Asia is that you have to tell them their ancestors aren't in Heaven. As non believers, they're either in Hell or annihilated. And so, many reject the gospel, as who would be OK with that? If only more preachers would talk about the universal restoration. They'd know that even it took a bit longer... They'd see them again.
Los herejes protestantes están OK con eso de que sus almas se consuman en el infierno desde que surgieron fruto de la tentación hace algunos siglos ¿Qué desperdicio de vidas, no?

An universal restoration and the chance to reach Heaven even when you didn't know everything in your terrenal life, that is the point of the Mormon doctrine regarding the dead ones.
Love it! It’s great to see how artists apply their understanding gained through Christianity of life’s struggles through their work. I can really identify with this process.
Thank you for posting this video; I’m a Christian American who loves Japan, and this encourages me. I’ve always sensed that Japan is on a precipice of massive salvation, and I can’t bear to ignore such a beautiful country. Missions work is in my future lol.
mabey do so, talk to your church, talk to them about it, and remember it can be a long and tedious thing but also very beautiful in the way you can share the Gospel and help others and let them see.
Salvation? As fewer and fewer people are christian in Western countries, notably the USA, you seriously think that "salvation" will be coming to Japan?
As an 18 year old with mental health problems , it's strange how God works . I love that part in the video where you talk about how the broken bowl is fixed and becomes new and beautiful. Because I was at my lowest point ever , I ran away from home , lied and hurt people that I love . And in that moment when I was calm God spoke to me . For a lot of people they leave God because they can't hear him or see him . The thing is he doesn't speak to you directly , he speaks to you by making you feel him and if your eyes are open by the actions of those who care for you. So I ask you lord be with those in need , make them know you in their hearts and guide them.
I'm so amazed with this video because i had been looking into Japanese culture and have been looking for more christian things to watch and listen to here on youtube, so I thank the Lord fully and abundantly that He would give this to me as a newer christian. And i want to thank all of the missionary throughout Asia, including Japan. You're doing God's work, Thank you from a fellow sister in Christ.
There is something about Japan. I love these series by y'all but I can't watch the Japan ones without crying. I dunno what that means, but my heart is for them.
You're supposed to come here:) From a missionary in Japan. No, follow His leadjng and seek Him, but the workers are few!!! Thank you for praying for us.

That’s so beautiful. I used to think being happy was as simple as not being sad and that being with Christ would make me happy, but now I see, even though I may be sad over circumstances sometimes, there’s also joy and beauty in the process of being broken by the Lord. Thank you.
"A broken world is healed by a broken Christ on a broken Tree" That's beautiful and true. I was just meditating on 1 Corinthians 1:26-30. Soli Deo Gloria!
Wow. To watch an incredibly well-produced video essay on UA-cam about Christianity and *not* get sucker-punched with a hyper-fixation on the toxic minority of adherents was so unexpected and refreshing that I'm not even sure how to feel. There's so much joy and healing in Christianity (more specifically in Christ) but everyone seems so focused on the negative/abusive. You're doing the Lord's work, man.
4:22 this is a little deceptive. I read about this when it happened. Japan, like other countries, has (the equivalent of) federal and state laws. The prefectures all had it higher than 13 before Japan raised the federal AOC. So basically, it wasn't actually changing anything except on paper, since it was already higher in all the prefecture laws.

@@grapesofmath1539this was a sin. But only a simple sin.
I’m a young Christian American in his early twenties who has been making art his whole life, but until recently I’ve been having a bad existential crisis and have been questioning everything I’ve loved and known to be true, including art and my faith. My family and I have also been very fond of Japan and Japanese culture and society and during COVID we would bond through watching Studio Ghibli films during lockdown some nights before bed. Recently, I’ve been rewatching those movies and even though they aren’t Christian (and they’re made by Hayao Miyazaki, a grumpy old man who’s NOT Christian at all), those films are overflowing with beauty, and I think this video encapsulates perfectly what I’m going through and trying to talk about. I, just like the Japanese people, am enamored with art and yet is struggling to find the beauty in life or even the purpose of art. I relate a lot to/am inspired by the story of the woman in this video who struggled to work with art after finding out her husband’s secrets; even though she went through a heartbreaking season of her life, she managed to see God in that season and to see God in the beauty of her art, and I need to learn to do the same. One reason Japanese Christians inspire me so much is that even though they did not grow up in a Christian society at all (less than 1% of their population are Christians), they go at it with such excitement and enthusiasm that I’m lacking as a person who grew up in a Christian household. Thank you for making this video and I pray that Japan can come to know God more in years to come.
I'm a sister from Italy and I am praying for Japan since 2022. I want to come to visit Japan in October with some young Christians to get to know the work there and meet some brothers and sisters. Any hint?

Traveling through Kansai and Hokuriku at the moment and watching these 4 videos on Christianity in Japan. Shared your videos with a few brothers and sisters. Prayed for the church and His labourers in Japan as we travel. Will try to attend the service in Mustard Seed church at the heart of Kyoto in a few hours for the second time. I have been thinking about Japan since last year...especially about how broken people are in there and how desperately they need Christ Jesus. May all glory be to God!!!!
yeah, like countries who have christ now are all prosperous and happy. and all the bible loving states in the US? so full of happy, non-obese places that don't have a mass shooting problem at all. f*ck religions, we all need to open our eyes and embrace reality to deal with all the issues of the modern world.
This is sooo beautiful. I've watched a lot of Christian content and this is one of the few videos that has brought tears to my eyes. My husband and I adore Japan and will be travelling there for the 10th time very soon. This is a beautiful reminder to pray for the people of Japan. Your editing style, story telling, tone and rhythm of your voice and just beautiful for this style of content. Absolutely amazing video. Love it ❤
I respect your want to help the people of the world despite our differing faiths (I'm a Buddhist). Japan much like the rest of the world needs to heal from the atrocities of ignorance and hatred. If some of the Japanese find this through the Christian understanding then so be it, if it can reduce their pain by even a margin then its worth it. I hope that Buddhists can likewise have this kind of effect on the world, to create pathways to finding the Dharma and provide comfort to a suffering world just like our Christian cousins. Good luck to you all, I hope that you may bring peace, even if little, to the multitude.
It was refresh to see such a good series about Japanese Christianity like this. I was born and raised in Japan until I was 40. I believe the biggest problem in Japan outreach is that there is no concept of believing in God. They believe goodness is only coming from luck or maybe from their direct ancestors. Though they tend to believe random sprits that may cause you bad luck. Since they don’t believe God’s existence, they don’t believe miracles. Therefore, Jesus’ miracle birth is hard to accept, let alone resurrection of Jesus. Also, there is no concept of “sins” because they don’t believe the existence of perfect God to compare. If I say we are all sinners, unless one has committed a real crime, everyone would get offended really bad therefore, they can’t repent to God and show their repentance by action. Reach out through the brokenness of people, tell them Jesus loves you, are easy way to feel accepted (not only in Japan), but that way would take a long time to grow in maturity - in order to get through suffering, trials, and storms. In my opinion, I don’t like to say Jesus loves you to unbelievers. Jesus said, if you love me, obey my word. Or unbelievers may say, then if he loves me, why natural disasters happened? First, let them understand the concept of perfect God, only true God, righteous Father, Holy Father, I believe that is the right way. Present them hard facts about Jesus and let them investigate themselves to come to the conclusion that Jesus is God.
That’s actually a good argument… nice explanation! But john 14 isn’t if you obey me I love you, it was if you love me, obey me and Lord Jesus will be with us and dwell in us. Lord Jesus is love, and until the judgement day, He will continue to love us because He cannot deny Himself. I would like to think till the end of our days He loves us and hopes for us to repent till the last breath. John 15 says we will die if we do not abide in His words, but He never states He does not love us. As stated like how a woman cannot forget the baby she births, God would never forget us. He loves us all sinners

I so, so desperately want to help spread the gospel through Japan. I have had a life long love for Japan and have been throughout a lot of the country a couple times. My church a year or so ago gave a presentation on their missionary outreach and progress. I was adamant that we try to reach the Japanese. I can't think of a people less reached and in need for the Lord. Their response was essentially that the Japanese were hard to convert (cant think of a better word) and thus their resources were better used elsewhere. I was really disheartened by the response. I felt like we are just leaving them to die. I am so thankful there are people like you reaching out and I would love to be able to aid in some way doing the same thing.
The Japanese know about Jesus and Christianity. They have freedom of religion, but generally prefer secularism. Even the native Japanese religions are fading away over time.
@@dustinchiasson5347 Yes, this is my point. Only 1.5% of the entire Japanese population identifies as Christian. That's effectively non of them. It's some of the lowest percentages of Christians by country in the world. They know the word Christian but have no clue what it truly means.
@@日-f5f Exactly, and the thing is, their interest in their own gods is fading in favor of secularism. They have no reason to need Christianity. If they wanted gods, they'd go back to their own.
@@GKOYG_and_KAAF_is_epic American culture is inherently Christian though, so I wouldn’t say it was ruined by Christianity, although I will say that that Christianity has been used to destroy many other cultures and societies, such is the giant cancer to the world known as the United States is known for doing.
At that time, Portuguese slave traders kidnapped Japanese children and sold them as slaves all over the world. Even Japanese Christians were complicit in this slave trade. Toyotomi Hideyoshi was outraged by this and banned Christianity.
I want to talk about some incredibly important CHRISTIAN history that's been forgotten when it comes to Japan. It concerns the end of World War 2. Did you know that Japan was once home to the LARGEST Christian church in ALL of Asia? The Urakami Cathedral had been constructed within the Urakami District, this location was where hidden Christians resided during the 17th to 19th centuries during the nation's ban on Christianity. It's a miracle of God that they managed to thrive throughout that time and were able to construct this cathedral once the ban was lifted. The City that the Urakami District resided in had been a stronghold of Christianity in Japan since the 16th century, with a resilient community that survived centuries of persecution. The city had the largest concentration of Christians in Japan, and the Urakami Cathedral was a central place of worship and community life. What city did the Urakami district reside in? Nagasaki. The atomic bomb that was dropped on Nagasaki on August 9, 1945, was detonated extremely close to the Urakami Cathedral. The bomb, known as "Fat Man," exploded approximately 500 meters away from the Urakami Cathedral. The cathedral was almost directly under the bomb's hypocenter. The force of the explosion devastated the church, causing it to be destroyed along with the surrounding area. The proximity of the detonation to the cathedral is one of the reasons why the destruction in the area was so severe. The American government and military were responsible for the loss of the hyper majority of the Christian community in Nagasaki, and without a shadow of a doubt had eviscerated the Christian influence in that country all at once. Their excuse for why they detonated the bomb over the largest influence of Christianity in all of Japan? It was an accident. They missed their target apparently, which was far, FAR away. Everything I've studied points to the fact that Satan had a hand in this monstrous moment in history. It was deliberate. And now Japan has one of the lowest Christian influences compared to other countries worldwide. We must pray for a revival in Japan. We must repent for our support of evil American actions that led to the loss of so many innocent, Christian lives. I beg you. I beg all of you. Pray for Japan.

Beautifully said.

He didn't come up with that idea, it comes from an actual Christian, St. Augustine of Hippo. It's called the Argument from Beauty.
@@lukebrasting5108 Thank you for giving credit to the author!
Well, looking at how ugly America looks, they shouldn't fall for the christian scam.
Nobody created beauty, though.

After all, they absolutely LOVE American/Western culture: guns, flashy cars, electronics, devices . . .
Japan is 1% christian. Youth suicide is higher in America. Keep your lies away from Japan.
Lord, heal the many broken hearts in Japan. Because You have walked in the way of brokenness and shining glory.
japan doesnt need to bend the knee to bullshit
These Japan videos are so well made, well shot, yet the most beautiful aspect is the message it conveys and reveals, especially for outsiders who love Japan and looking into Japan. Shedding a light into the lives and society there, all while bookending the video with hope!
The gospel is our greatest hope! May the light of Christ keep shining in Japan.
Sadly, the message in this video was not truthful.

A lot of people back then didn't think that Jesus was God either, and they killed Him for it, so you're not alone in not believing in that, just don't kill anyone over it lol

Spanish missionary Francis Xavier took Christ to the Japanese at Kagoshima in 1549. Said,
"The people whom we have met so far, are the best who have as yet been discovered, and it seems to me that we shall never find among heathens another race to equal the Japanese. … They are a people of very good will, very sociable and very desirous of knowledge; they are very fond of hearing about things of God, chiefly when they understand them."
If the Japanese convert en masse, imagine the global evangelization blessings!
@@813infinityfilms123 Thankfully that won't happen. We know a culty subpar religion when we see one, and I'm so thankful Christianity never took hold here.
@@813infinityfilms123 I doubt Japan will ever convert en masse. They are a very spiritual people, but eschew socially disruptive forces like a foreign religion that demands adherence to sweeping philosophical, social, and personal principles and beliefs.
Japan responded to fierce agression to christians trying to convert them. They dont need ya’ll

I will be praying for him.
Nice video! I didn't know that they changed the consent law. A good step in the right direction.
Are you Japanese please?
Could it be that you are a part of a deranged cult that wishes absolute damnation upon those who don't join your cult.

Yes, keep praying to Amaterasu. ⛩
I don't think he was trying to be deceptive, just made a mistake
@@grapesofmath1539for sure I don't think it was intentional... maybe I should have phrased that differently

I wish I could see more of this lady's art. The picture of what reminded me of a yellow sky was so beautiful!
I'm a sister from Italy and I am praying for Japan since 2022. I want to come to visit Japan in October with some young Christians to get to know the work there and meet some brothers and sisters. Any hint?

*1-Peter 2:18* _“Slaves,_ in reverent fear of God submit yourselves to your masters, not only to those who are good and considerate, but also to those who are harsh.”
*Ephesians 6:5-7* _"Slaves,_ obey your earthly masters with respect and fear, and with sincerity of heart, just as you would obey Christ. Obey them not only to win their favor when their eye is on you, but as *slaves* of Christ, doing the will of God from your heart.”
*Romans 1:1* "Paul, a _bondservant_ of Christ Jesus, called to be an apostle and set apart for the gospel of God."
*Matthew 10:34-35* “Do NOT suppose that I have come to bring peace to the earth. I did not come to bring peace, but a sword. For I have come to turn a man against his father, a daughter against her mother, a daughter-in-law against her mother-in-law."
*Matthew 10:37* “Anyone who loves their father or mother more than me is not worthy of me; anyone who loves their son or daughter more than me is not worthy of me.”
*Luke 14:26* “If anyone comes to me and does not *hate* their father and mother, wife and children, brothers and sisters - yes, even their own life - such a person cannot be my disciple."

I'm a Hikikomori, too! Been one since I was 14yo. I'll be 24 this year. I live in the middle of nowhere with no form of transportation. My parents refuse to help me get a job or teach me to drive, expecting me to just go out and magically do it all myself. Been debating if I should run away
Honestly you need to take the first step. Japan has a labor shortage.

I was hikikomori (but in England). To get out of it, I lived by a certain phrase - "all experience is good experience". Whatever happens, good or bad, just do it. Any step and whatever result is good. Do what you think is right after taking into account other voices.
This is beautiful, Japan has been on my heart lately, I will be praying for that nation and its laborers

Bravo - this was amazingly well-produced content and such a useful glimpse into Japanese life and culture for a European like me who has a heart for the Gospel to go forth there. I will be praying for all the missionaries featured (and those who weren’t). If anyone knows of short term mission opportunities please share links. Love from Poland 🇵🇱
Keep mission to spread Jesus in musliums in Europe they need Jesus..

*so.. God sacrificed God to God in order to save God's creation from God. God prayed to God for help but God didn't help God, and God killed God with help from humans. And that God is a father of himself and the mother of himself and the son of mother he created at the same time. He is also eternal but his birthday is...? 🤡~
I have been thinking about Japan since last year...especially about how broken people are in there and how desperately they need Christ Jesus. May all glory be to God!!!!
You don't need a god to not be broken lol. Not the issue at all. Christianity is on the decline anyway lol
yeah, like countries who have christ now are all prosperous and happy. and all the bible loving states in the US? so full of happy, non-obese places that don't have a mass shooting problem at all.
f*ck religions, we all need to open our eyes and embrace reality to deal with all the issues of the modern world.
Love it ❤
I just found out this yt channel and I thank God for it. What a beautiful, full of Jesus content. Now i want to visit Japan even more.
How would they react to morality argument if they have no concept of sins ..

@@petrabanjarnahor229even if they have a concept of sin, you have to convince them your god exist for them to care about the concept of sins to begin with
@@_Sloppyham i don't have any argument for God to exist for them if they dont accept they're a sinner, so Jesus to save them out of it. It's a doctrine thing. But i know for sure some of them will listen and that's good enough for me.
As a someone who grew up sheltered in a Christian community, the spiritual atmosphere was what shocked me most when I first visited Japan. I remember enjoying the beauty and art on day tours and work but weeping at night and at dawn for the people who obviously need Jesus. This series is God-breathed and powerful. I believe many (in Japan or otherwise) are encouraged to be more intentional in sharing the love & beauty of Christ. Thank you for this ministry! 🙏🏼✨
Why do they "obviously" need Jesus?

Two of my favorite things to talk about, Jesus and Japan! Thank you for your video!
We love it! 🙌
They have they're own gods and culture stop trying to take that from the Japanese.
@@日-f5f Exactly, and the thing is, their interest in their own gods is fading in favor of secularism. They have no reason to need Christianity. If they wanted gods, they'd go back to their own.

Toyotomi Hideyoshi was right

True
All he was doing was protecting japan from get his culture and values trampled by christianity like they did in philipine and america
