I would love to take walks with you in your countryside, chatting and just walking and getting some exercise. Here in the sunny🌞 Arizona 🏜️. We don't get out... Just like many people don't get out in snow country. Having go-to videos to turn to when we want to exercise, but find some excuse to be reluctant to exercise would be fabulous! Just like today's video where you walked out the front door and turned back to encourage us to come along was just what I needed today. 💕🌞🌵😷
Hi Suzi! Wouldn't that be amazing if we could take daily walks all together, chat, and support one another in person?! So grateful for modern day technology and that we can walk together and support each other from afar! I've been to Arizona to visit and love it, but have felt how hot it can be! I'm so glad my video helped you feel supported. I became a yoga teacher a couple of years ago, and would love to film a few gentle yoga stretching videos, but haven't gotten there yet ;) That will be my 2025 beginning of the year goal!
So glad you're back! BTW, never once noticed you gained weight or have wrinkles. Still look as beautiful as ever! Thank you for sharing your journey so openly! ❤
Thank you so much for your kind words, support, and encouragement!! It truly means the world. It’s not easy to open up and share but getting to connect with our community and amazing people like you make my heart so happy. If getting out of my comfort zone and sharing my story helps someone else, I’m happy to. ❤. Hugs!!
So grateful to hear that you took time for yourself to heal. I often hear that people with autoimmune disease tend to put themselves last (or at least, not first), which is something I do often. But I'm so glad to hear you've put yourself, your mental health, and your spiritual health first in order to heal. As always you're a wonderful example to follow Shanna. As much as you love your audience and your audience loves you, we love to see you feeling good by taking care of yourself and if that requires a few months off, then so be it. Keep taking care of yourself Shanna, we love you!
Karen! Thank you so much 🙏🏻🙏🏻. Your kind words, whole hearted support, encouragement, and love mean so much to me, and I’m so grateful for your understanding. We seriously have the best community here and each of you make my heart happy! Thank you for being here ❤❤❤
Thanks for speaking your truth and bearing your soul. Really have missed you and super excited you’re back..Looking forward to a joyful learning journey w you.
@@margiebarker9261 Thank you Margie! Your gratitude, love, and support mean so much to me! It feels wonderful to be back and I’m so grateful and happy to get to connect with you! ❤️
Hi Shanna! I love hearing about your journey and really feel encouraged by your story and many of your videos. I know it’s not easy to do UA-cam and social media so I truly appreciate your choice to show up when you are healthy enough 🥰.
Hi Katie!! I so appreciate your kind words and support. I also appreciate your understanding and grace that I haven’t been in a place to show back up until now. I’m so glad you’re here and that we can connect. Hugs!
Happy to see you back. I found your videos very helpful when I was researching AIP. I look forward to your new ones, especially weight loss with an autoimmune condition. Thanks so much!
Yay! So glad to see you back. Where you’re at so resonates with me. I love the balance you have been rebuilding in your life built around obedience to Gods direction to slow down. Looking forward to hearing more of your tips and hacks for living in joy and wellness with autoimmune issues. We are with you and for you…but moreover God is leading you! Keep Him first.
Amen Julia! And thank you, thank you, thank you!! When I decided to start sharing again, I knew in my heart I wanted to share the way the Lord is a part of my life and walking with me and even carrying me a my times. I told my son the other day how I can’t be me and be authentic without sharing about my faith. It’s so heart warming to hear how that resonates with you and so many others. There is such power when we let go, trust the Lord, and try to be instruments in His hands. Than you so much for being here and for your love, support, encouragement, and faith. ❤❤❤
So excited to see you back and appreciate the update. I found your channel a few months ago when I was going through AIP and it was so inspiring. I kept hoping to find newer videos so I'm happy that I joined your email list and got the notification. I've recently gone through something similar so thank you for sharing your story. You're so brave and amazing!
Thank you Beth! Your words brought tears to my eyes. I wouldn't wish what I've gone through on anyone, but it truly is so comforting to know we aren't alone and we can walk our paths together and find inspiration and strength in each other. Thank you for your kind words, support, love, encouragement, and for being here!
Hi Shanna! I'm new to the AIP journey and your videos have been an invaluable resource ♥ Thank you for being an inspiration. You are a beautiful, honest, courageous person!
Hi Cindy! Welcome, welcome! I’m so glad you’re here and thank you so much for your sweet comment! I’m so glad my videos and resources have been helpful. I’m cheering you on ❤
Shanna… so glad you made the choice you did! Know that your story inspires me and helps me not feel I am alone in going thru some of the same issues. Thanks for sharing❤️
You're so welcome Sara, and thank you for taking the time to let me know and to connect with me! You are why I share and do what I do....there's truly such power, strength, and comfort to know we aren't alone. Sending you so much love and support! Thank you for being here!
I have missed you. I am thankful you are back. In May 2021 I started the NTA program. Four days later I found out I was pregnant at 44 years old. God gave us a bombshell surprise that has blessed us beyond measure. I had hoped to do more with my education. Now is not the season. I have been getting fancy again. Hearing you step back is an encouragement and to know I am in the right place for this season.
@@sarahrobinson2969Wow! What an incredible bombshell blessing! Congrats! I appreciate your kind words, encouragement, and sharing your story and heart with me and this community. It means the world. I have no doubt that you are exactly where the Lord has led you and what a blessing it is to lean into each season and know the Lord will inspire us along the way. ❤ So excited to connect with you and hear how your story unfolds. Hugs!
Shanna, I discovered your video from several years ago that was so helpful...12 tips for living with autoimmune disease. Happy you're back! After being misdiagnosed for 18 years, my 4th dermatologist diagnosed me with Plaque & Inverse Psoriasis, just 4 weeks ago. So many conflicting emotions. Thankful a doctor finally listened to my symptoms & did the necessary tests & research to properly diagnose me. The best part of your channel is your faithfulness to God! Without the love of Jesus, my husband, & my Christian friends this journey would overwhelm me. I'm waiting for treatment, Skyrizi injections, which has a $3000 co-pay. Praying for God to work out the details & get this co-pay covered. (How ridiculous is that $$). Looking forward to your upcoming videos.
Hi Norma! Thank you so much for being here and for your kind words, love, and support! I so appreciate you sharing part of your powerful story with us. You are so strong, and such a testament to the power of never giving up and trusting your gut. My heart is with you as you navigate your new diagnosis. Your faith and love of the Savior is inspiring! While we may not have chosen to walk this path ourselves, we can choose to walk with Him and that is a game changer. Sending you so much love, support, and prayers that you can feel continued peace and find a way to get that copay covered. That absolutely blows my mind. Hugs!!
Shanna! I'm so happy to see you back! Thank you for for sharing your journey with us! You are amazing, and such a blessing! I always feel encouraged after watching your videos. I have hashimotos as well, and love to be active and travel with my family. It is definitely a challenge with my health to balance it all, but so worth it!
So beautifully said - it’s so worth it! Thank you for sharing a piece of your story as well!! I try to be an instrument in the hands of the Lord and it makes my heart so happy to hear that what I share feels uplifting and encouraging. I so appreciate you being here and for your love and support! ❤❤❤
I'm so happy you are back and doing better!! Thanks for sharing your story and can't wait to see more videos 🥰 I was rewatching some older ones on food prep recently!
Thanks so much Stacy!! I’m so grateful and excited to be back!! I’m so glad my food prep videos have been helpful! Thank you for being here - it’s so fun to connect!! ❤❤😊😊
Do you have advice on dealing with fatigue? It feels like I only have a small amount of energy to use each day, and I have to use it on basic daily tasks like cooking and cleaning. I used to enjoy getting out and attending local events, but now it's too exhausting. Thanks!
Fantastic question! I felt the same way at first! I remember telling my naturopath when I started that I didn’t have the energy to cook and do basic things. I found that in time as I adjusted to my new eating and lifestyle habits, my energy levels increased and I was gradually able to do more and more. It took time and it was a learning experience as I’d get more energy, then do too much and get exhausted again. It took me time to learn to balance and build periods of rest in my day for awhile. Then, in time, as I progressed I needed less and less rest as my fatigue improved over time, then went away. I also find that sometimes people don’t eat enough on AIp or drink enough water and those factors can definitely affect energy levels too. ❤
