watched so many historical k dramas but this one I have no words to explain the charm of this drama.... have touch of everything.... fantasy, history,romance,comedy,chemistry of all characters and the actor's were just on another level....thnks a lot Netflix.... want to watch Alchemy of souls again and again and I'm sure never get tired of watching this masterpiece.... loving it....😍❤️😍❤️
If you are a fantasy lover, you know this one is a good show. It's not overdone; everything is just right. I hope the storyline continues to be interesting as it is now. Let's be honest, Eastern /Asian series, cinema have REAL heart and soul. Everything captures my full attention and you really FEEL all emotions. All actors and actresses are light years better than Western. Thank you God for the streaming services now I can enjoy only the Eastern/Asian quality.

Sorry for commenting this. But this drama plagiarized Chinese XianXia Dramas. Most elements demonstrated in this drama are Chinese. It's really disgusting and horrying the fact that South Koreans are appropriating Chinese culture through Kpop and Kdramas while labelling China as "cultural thief". This has gone to the point that Koreans are forbidding Chinese from wearing their own traditional clothes and celebrating their own culture. Because Chinese XianXia (Fantasy) dramas have gone popular, Koreans are now imitating Chinese drama while claiming that they are the origin.
It's an exceptional series with great storytelling and SFX, it tugs at all of the emotions from making me laugh to heart-pounding fighting and "Spells", and the love stories' "will they or won't they," OMG, make me well up 🤣+😲+😥
This the best historical drama.. also best story , screenplay, ost, actors.. and main actor is very unique.. you will end up loving his acting.. even though it's your first time watching him.. Lee Jae wook..❤

Watched this as soon as it was uploaded to Netflix, but only just realised, a day later, that the opening is basically Arthurian legend. The King is Uther Pendragon, his mage Merlin, and the wife seduced by the man who looked like her husband Igraine. Which makes our protagonist Arthur, there is even a sword that cannot be drawn. So is our heroine his sister? Does it count as incest if its the soul of your sister in another person's body?
For some reason I find this funny🤣🤣🤣, I didn't think this far when watching it, I just like the fact that it's K-drama, fantasy, the visuals are great & it has a good plot.

The first twenty-minutes of E:1 were a bit confusing for me, but the alchemy kept me interested--the magic is impressive to say the least and kept me watching😲And the love stories, especially between Jang Uk and Mu-Deok, OMG🥺Parts of several episodes had me all messed up😭This series is so good I'm keeping it on my Watch List for a second watch, but I'll wait until it's not so fresh in my memory, maybe a year or so🤔Or perhaps I'll by the blu-ray and see how everything was done😉
I still don't understand how the headmaster who fought Naksu at the lake, didn't recognize her in season 2 when she was formally introduced to him as the eldest daughter of the Jin or whatever family. She's literally the same person , different clothes and no memories
😂 Many times during the series I'd be like: "Why are you talking about secrets so loud you are literally in the middle of the street." "You almost died and escaped, how come you are taking your sweet time walking home when you should be running". TLDR: the number of times you need to suspend your disbelief while watching this series is staggering.
I prefer Jung So-min's execution of the character. Season 2 lost a lot of the sass she brought to the character. If there is a season 3, I hope she retakes that role.
I didn't know Park Dang-gu (Yoo In-soo is Yoon Gwi-nam I really hate him that series hahah but he is one of the best actor he amazingly do his part . Wish I still saw him on S2 ❤️❤️❤️
Honestly it's pretty good am watching the first season but it sure sucks Jung So Min didn't continued and left after season 1. It is rather awkward to see another actress and I prefer SoMin she makes a better actress and better chemistry with Jae Wook .

I found chemistry to Mu-deok & Crown Prince Go Won , I wish it happen meant to be triplets 🤭🤭🤭, I have a loud voice on my head like Mu-deok so I think we need triplets mu deok. But it never be happen because Mu-deok is mean to be Jin Cho-Yeon Sister, the solutions we create illusion in the mirror so we can create mu deok for crown prince and Seo Yul 🤭🤭🤭🤭
