The idle animations in this game are insane. Look at cyclops’ thighs!
No other game series has achieved this level of epicness and sense of superpower using Marvel's IP.
Konami's X-MEN comes close, but Capcom really knew how to add that "Japanese spice" to make everything extra, like in shounen anime and manga fights. Look at Cyclope's Optic Blast, his eyes literally launch a Death Star Superlaser.
Of course, there's also the fantastic 2D sprite art and animations, which, in my opinion, are better than the 3D models in UMvC3 and MvC:I.
The 3D one don’t even come close.
Spiral has a different combination of attacks when you grab the opponent in the air. It'll end with Omega Red, IIRC.
It is also different whe you grab the opponent crouched, she finishes as Silver Samurai.

I used to play xmen on the arcades. It's character animations are still gorgeous.

I remember if you got someone in the corner and hit them with iceman’s special move it would do crazy damage.

This list doesn't consider buffs, like Wolverine's healing factor, Colossus armor, Psylocke's clones or Sentinel's flight
You're missing Silver Samurai's fire and ice supers (QCF + 3P when under the fire or ice powerup). Also, Sentinel's Plasma Storm needs to be mashed to perform the entire super.
Spiral can do different animation if you jump grab or crouch crab

These are X-Men characters bro. Akuma is in the game that has Capcom and the Street Fighters. Games look very similar though.

When a dude makes a video on a video game he plays in two player mode with no one playing the other one.
Imagine the later games but with this kind of Sprites. Comming from someone who was there since the beggining, i can tell that the sprites have been tonned down with later games though
